Thanks @Isonthecase @Delight12 am feeling quite a bit better now, back at the hospital today for review and more bloods but hoping all will be fine now.
@Isonthecase i should technically be back at work but I’ve accrued a fair bit of annual leave so am using that in a chunk to delay return to work for another month, woo! I’m planning on doing the 3 months that I have to in order to keep my maternity pay, and then either quit for a year or so whilst he’s really little or drastically reduce my hours (depending on what we can afford which were still figuring out).
i am dreading going back to work though as my brain is still in baby brain mode, and now after this illness episode it’s even more mushy than before?!?
hope you’re all feeling good about returning to work xx

@squatternutbosh12 It should be ok, I've certainly found going back to work has helped focus my brain! I think it's the not being responsible for another human 24/7 😂 hope you're back to normal asap. We've also done the chat around hours and I think for my kids ages I'm worse off working full time than reducing my hours unless I can earn over £120k ish as I wouldn't earn enough to cover the childcare. So that's something to aspire to along with the lottery win 😂

Hello ladies, just thought I’d check in and see how you’re all doing, how are the babies getting on? Or should I say toddlers 🥹 I just don’t know where the time is going, we’re now up and about walking and becoming more and more independent every day. It only feels like last week he was born. I’ve barely left him at all since he was born yet I feel like I’ve blinked and missed it all?!

squatternutbosh12 · 08/10/2023 11:04

I feel the same @SantiagoSister like I’ve missed stuff but in reality have been with him all the time. It must be because time just flies by so fast. How are you doing?

I quit my job last week. I just couldn’t handle it on top of an active toddler and chronic health issues. Looking to change careers probably but that’s a future-me-problem, just going to enjoy time with my baby for now. Money will be tighter obv but we’ll manage!!

Our boy isn’t walking yet but is clearly thinking about it, he’s standing unaided and looks like he wants to take steps. No proper words yet but I think he tried to say chicken “chi chi” the other day 😄 always hard not to compare and get worried as I know a lot of children his age have been walking for months and have quite a few words. But he has hit all the other milestones so trying not to worry! He’ll just do it when he’s ready I guess.

hope everyone is happy and well x

Lovely seeing updates, maddison is now 16 nearly 17 months old she has finally started walking has 4 teeth and talks alot, she's still tiny thought in 9-12 month clothes but is passing all her tests with flying colours.

Unsure1010 · 08/10/2023 18:33

Lovely to hear the updates. C is doing really well - she is a complete tornado!!! My dogs and cats all hide when she comes in the room now lol.

not walking, but cruises around everywhere she can, and will spend hours walking, while you hold her hands. Only clear word is ‘hiya’, which she uses with enthusiasm to everyone she sees when we’re out shopping. She definitely understands loads though and makes her wants and needs known very well. I’m also finding the time has just flown by and I wish I could freeze it. I’ve loved every minute, but somehow this age is just super special.

Isonthecase · 08/10/2023 19:54

How lovely to hear the updates!

We have a walker and he's got much more confident really quickly which was reassuring as he walked later than my others. Getting a few hints of words too. It's gone so quick.

I love this stage, they're so charming and their little personalities are wonderful 🥰🥰🥰
