So Maddison is now 25 weeks 14 weeks corrected, she weighs 12lb 3oz and just so amazing. She smiles is nearly laughing, close to rolling over and the best part she sleeps all night even though she still sleeps most of the day lol. How is everyone else getting on?

@Delight12 such a cheeky grin! Is that the same bouncer as the other photo weeks ago? She looks enormous, what a champ 😊

@Beth262 hope the migraines are improving, not what you need (obviously!)

Delight12 · 11/11/2022 12:50

@Isonthecase yes same bouncer, she definitely is. She's still in 0-3 month clothes though. @Beth262 migraines suck hope you're okay x

Cakecakecheese · 11/11/2022 13:43

@Delight12 she looks like a little character already 💕

My boy is 15 weeks. He sleeps well through the night and likes his naps during the day. His giggles melt my heart 🥰

Delight12 · 11/11/2022 13:54

@Cakecakecheese she definitely is, not sure if you noticed the cheeky finger in the bottom right lol. I love the sound of baby laughter and it's great he sleeps through the night x

squatternutbosh12 · 12/11/2022 00:05

Lovely to hear how you and your babies are getting on.
Beth I hope your migraines get better, they totally suck.

Our boy turned 3 months a week ago and is just a smashing little guy. Very smiley these days and has this wonderful whole-face glee he gets particularly with ‘heads shoulders knees and toes’ which is his favourite at the moment. Have had a couple of early giggles and looking forward to belly laughs when they come.
We’ve just got over a really tricky month or so with feeding where he was refusing milk, screaming and twisting away from the bottle and dropping weight centiles - probably a combination of reflux and gagging on milk. Eventually solved with carobel thickening powder which has turned things around remarkably. It’s like feeding a different baby now - calm and content- and we’re all so much less stressed now he’s over that particular patch! Phew.

He‘a obsessed with sucking his entire fist. Sometimes he shoves it so far into his mouth that he gags and is then sick everywhere 😂

We recently finished a baby massage course which was really lovely. Highly recommend doing, he found it so relaxing and I really enjoyed spending that time with him. I do it after bathtime now using his moisturiser (kills two birds with one stone as he is covered in eczema so needs the cream anyway!)

Also.. if anyone is looking for amazing baby entertainment/distraction/enjoyment look no further than Hey Bear Sensory videos on YouTube. There is a fruit disco, a psychedelic caterpillar and dancing neon clouds.

PopGoesBang · 12/11/2022 01:24

@squatternutbosh12 Hey Bear sensory lover here too. There's neon stars with lullaby's that is the theme tune to our life, I have a soft spot for the avodino.
These honestly calm the rage instantly, and allow me to have a shower where I can complete a hair wash and use shower gel, such simple tasks that you forget can be blitzed from having a baby.

15 weeks on Monday. And after colic and reflux and jabs knocking her for six, I am starting to see a smiley happy baby with far less upset, screams and upset. There have been some really tough days but as with everything it passes soon enough.

We have some swelling on the gums so expecting teeth sooner rather then later. Hopefully she does better with teething than her sister did.

We too have just finished a baby massage course, it was lovely and she enjoys it now and gives us some focus time and can help
Calm her down when needed.

And to think this time last year they weren't even known about yet, and now are very much mini humans, still blows my mind.

Beth262 · 12/11/2022 10:23

Thanks @Delight12 and @Isonthecase Yes not what I need and if I'm honest, I think they're likely sleep related - or rather lack of! Hopefully turning a corner though with DS2 now going a 2/3 hours most nights between feeds. @Delight12 Maddison is flourishing! She looks such a contented baby and laughing at the cheeky finger 😂 she will keep you on your toes I think!

Another one here for hey bear @PopGoesBang and @squatternutbosh12 . Pop him in his 4moms chair on car ride and a whole 10 minutes to wash dishes or drink a hot tea 😉 winning at life haha.

Delight12 · 12/11/2022 11:22

@Beth262 she is coming on leaps and bounds, oh yes I definitely think she will keep me on my toes. She done her first proper laugh last night I almost cried lol. Hopefully you start sleeping properly soon and get rid of those migraines x

Cakecakecheese · 12/11/2022 13:48

The dancing fruit is a godsend! I also like roots and fruit on iplayer.

Gem2811 · 12/11/2022 14:38

Paw patrol is my life saver gives me about 20 mins whilst she laughs all the way through it 😂😂

Cakecakecheese · 12/11/2022 19:15

I had my IVF transfer 27th November so this time last year I'd just started my injections, not knowing what the outcome would be. I still can't believe it sometimes.

Isonthecase · 13/11/2022 22:30

Another lot with the bouncer getting a lot of use here 😂 Just wait for jumperoo age, those things are so awful as a parent but wow the babies love them!

@Cakecakecheese what a lovely anniversary, must feel funny knowing how things turned out! I always wonder with IVF, do people celebrate the anniversary of the successful round? It feels so much more momentous for actually knowing the day.

ToCaden · 14/11/2022 20:32

I've tried the hey bear as my niece loves it, but my baby seems to have been born with a deep distrust for non humanoid figures singing. 🤔

Even got him a singing peekaboo elephant reportedly every baby loved figuring he'd like it as he loves music. Nope. Elephant just got a squinty suspicious look. The singing doll however was accepted.

So it's cocomelon here getting us through difficult moments such as tummy time.

How on earth does a three month old already have such set ideas and preferences about life??? I'd love to know what goes on in their heads sometimes.

He had a screaming meltdown a couple weeks ago because grandma only had pjyamas to change him into at hers and he'd internalised that pyjamas only go on over at mine. We think he thought she was going to make him sleep at hers which he hates. Same with books. I read to him often, and it's become a thing only I'm allowed to do.

Cakecakecheese · 14/11/2022 21:17

@Isonthecase I'm in a FB group for mums who have had successful IVF pregnancies and people often mark their transfer anniversaries, mostly to say how grateful they are that it worked. I think it's an excuse for cake 😁

@ToCaden how funny (well probably not for you!) There's a programme on Netflix called Babies which looks at how babies brains work and it's quite interesting.

Isonthecase · 14/11/2022 22:34

@Cakecakecheese no excuses needed for cake 😂😂

ToCaden · 15/11/2022 07:36

@Cakecakecheese thank you! My embryo transfer was 29th nov and egg collection and insemination was on 24th. Now I have excuses for cake this month.

Isn't it crazy. I have video of him and his frozen siblings as a teeny multiplying blastocyst and now that tiny thing is a hefty baby.

Cakecakecheese · 15/11/2022 19:46

@ToCaden that's amazing that you have that video. I forgot to ask for anything like that but I do have his 7 week scan pictures where he's just a tiny dot and like you say it's hard to imagine my now 14lb baby ever being that small.

Unsure1010 · 16/11/2022 09:35

THANK YOU for the Hey Bear idea - she is enthralled by it!!! It buys me an extra 10 minutes or so, when I just need to finish something up and she’s wanting a feed or just a cuddle. She’s even started smiling and talking to the tv when it’s on. Hadn’t thought to try it with tummy time, which she hates - are there any babies that actually enjoy this???

We’re at 12 weeks now and so different. Had a fractious few days, following vaccinations, but seems to be back to my smily, settled baby again. So good to catch up on how all the littlies are doing

Beth262 · 29/11/2022 11:35

Almost at the 4 month mark with lots of smiles & giggling and hefty 14lb at jabs 2 weeks ago 😟 Seeing there is now a Due August 2023 thread, I can't believe how we've already been a year from initial postings!

How is everyone else getting on?

Delight12 · 29/11/2022 14:17

@Beth262 it's crazy how quick it's all gone, 14lb is such a good weight. Maddison weighs just under that lol, we've been given the go ahead to start solids now exciting times ahead x

Beth262 · 29/11/2022 14:28

@Delight12 She's coming on so well and really exciting you've got the go ahead for solids. Mess galore 😂

Seb is giving definite side eyes when any of us are eating around him. I think he's desperate to try!

squatternutbosh12 · 29/11/2022 17:33

@Beth262 where has the time gone?! Our boy is turning 4 months in a few days too and weighed 13lb 1oz at weigh in a couple of weeks ago. He seems to pretty much hate milk and only really drinks when he has to, even then is never particularly happy about it. Hoping weaning gives him a new passion for food!!

@Unsure1010 Another tummy time hater. Best we ever did was 13 minutes, usually it’s a few minutes and then crying. And now he has learnt to roll from tummy to back so he can (and does) get out of tummy time whenever he wants, ie as soon as it happens 🤦‍♀️

We have 16 week jabs tomorrow so anticipating an unsettled day or two.
Good news is that he now sleeps from about 11pm to anywhere between 5 and 7am which has made me feel like a new woman not having to get up much! He still wakes me up 3-4 times a night making noises like a velociraptor in his sleep but that’s a lot easier than having to physically get up to make a bottle.

Hope you’re all doing well 🥰

Isonthecase · 29/11/2022 22:52

This talk of longer sleeps sounds glorious! We've had a couple of glimpses of hope when baby was poorly but been worse than ever since, ugh. He had to go under general for a check and can confirm @madeleine85 it's rationally absolutely fine but emotionally harrowing. They still look so small!

Is everyone rolling now?! I can't remember when any of this is meant to happen so have been on tenterhooks for weeks. Still nothing 😅

Isonthecase · 29/11/2022 22:54

Also spotted the August 23 thread, felt a bit strange to see it. They're growing up so quick 😭
