@Jamaisy82 Ah okay, thank you. That's all really useful☺️Fingers crossed they get back to me soon!

Northernerinwales · 30/08/2022 16:48

Is anyone else feeling fed up? I’ve got 13 days until my due date and all the encouraging signs of labour starting last week have just stopped. Im irritated and so bad tempered atm I feel so bad for my partner. I’m constantly just saying “I want her out” and feel like I’m at the point where I can’t even enjoy the last days of us just being us because I’m so uncomfortable and irritated

Butterflytulip · 30/08/2022 16:53

@WallsH20 they probably have you down as with midwife on Monday so will be discussed then. Pre Op just checking your medically history in prep for theatre, allergies etc and prob a Covid test too. I'll know more after tomorrow as I have mine in the Morning

Hi everyone hope all is well, glad I found this thread ❤️ I’m due next week with my first and have been getting braxton hicks alllll day today. Wonder if that means something is imminent or if it’s just random.

Sweetbabydust1989 · 30/08/2022 20:10

Anyone else experiencing backache I have had it on and off for 2 days now kinda hoping my little lady is wanting out soon xx

newmumtotwo24 · 30/08/2022 20:16

Hi all, been reading this thread for a couple of days but not posted yet. I'm due in 3 and a bit weeks and very much over it now. Fed up I definitely am @Northernerinwales can't wait for Baba to be out. Lots of hip pain and pressure lately which makes for an uncomfy life

Butterflytulip · 30/08/2022 20:33

@Northernerinwales with my first I had a planned induction date which led to c section (due to gestational diabetes). This time I opted for elective section and have had my date for over a month now (39 weeks). Not sure I could wait and see and potentially go over 40 weeks! Think I'd go mad! Hope the next couple weeks go in nice and quick for you

I'm fed up of it too, sore, hot and irritable. Last week and the weekend I felt very mean and rage-y. So far this week I'm feeling unprepared/run out of angry.

2 and a bit weeks to go.

Today I had to go for a vaginal swab and the receptionist had booked me in for smear. When I got there the nurse was all like ok so smear test today. I explained I was 37 weeks pregnant to which she replied "oh you're pregnant, can't do a smear then" you'd think my medical file or the giant beachball up my dress might have tipped her off. Then I basically threw my urine sample over myself which showed up very nicely on my buff coloured dress. I left the Drs covered in wee. I wasn't even mad, just resigned to this life!

My toddler is much happier with defeated mummy of this week than angry mummy of last week so at least someone is benefitting!

The low down pressure is so uncomfortable, had pelvic pain from about midway through which was bad enough, but then the pressure too is horrible! I sympathise.
I don't know about you but sometimes the pressure around the back end is so bad I get stressed out not knowing whether I'm needing the toilet or not!

annlee3817 · 30/08/2022 21:02

Thanks everyone, oooh good to see some of the c section dates are imminent, can't believe we're almost in September. Hope all goes well @Butterflytulip

@Fortuny there is a September FB group, someone on here should be able to send the link to it.

Sorry to those starting to feel super uncomfortable now, it's not fun is it, I was so full of fluid at the end that I felt like I might explode. Nice to be able to reach my feet again.

Northernerinwales · 30/08/2022 21:23

@newmumtotwo24 i know that feeling! I have so much pressure. Me and my partner have just gotten back from a little walk and just standing still I can feel the pressure to a point it was making me feel sick and I had to sit down. I’m so ready for her to be out now 😂

Northernerinwales · 30/08/2022 21:24

@Butterflytulip i hope they fly over honestly the days are getting so long and I’ve not really had any pains this week where last week I had a few pains Wednesday through to Saturday so was hoping it was signs of something happening

Fortuny · 30/08/2022 22:32

😂 @Oncilla thanks for making me feel less alone, I dropped my sample in my bathroom last week and it went EVERYWHERE.

Yes I'm the same 😂🙈 once that was legit the problem and the relief was much welcomed.

Yes, me 🙋

Moving around is so uncomfortable now because of pelvic pain, I feel like I'm about 90 years old. Turning over in bed is just the worst thing ever, I can't wait until I can just do it freely again. I have to gear myself up to do it at the moment because it hurts.

I was always convinced the baby would come a bit early but now I'm 38 weeks I've suddenly become sure that it's going to be late :( Really hope not.

Celyn22 · 31/08/2022 18:42

I am 40 weeks today and feeling the same... I thought baby would come early but I was wrong! Still feel like he'll take a few days but I'm hoping tomorrow? Eating and resting a lot today then may get really active in the morning and try and get things started! I keep feeling symptoms which make me think labour is starting but then they go away again. Pfffff and rolling over in bed!! Gosh it takes real effort! I wake up in the morning with aching ankles, knees and hips which take a while to recover. I'm really looking forward to being able to lie in whatever position I choose in bed! I'm a wriggler usually and change position in the night a lot, so being fixed to left or right side is doing my head in and making me feel so trapped!!

LittlemissMama67 · 31/08/2022 18:54

Can you believe it's September tommorow! We're finally there ladies good luck to you all that are yet to deliver. 16 days for me

Sweetbabydust1989 · 31/08/2022 19:50

Period pains anyone else getting them?? Mine come and go x

MummyToBe2022 · 31/08/2022 20:18

@Sweetbabydust1989 yes I do.
They were very regular the other night and I've had a couple this evening.

Had midwife today, baby is very low. Booked in for sweep at 40 weeks.
2 more days at work then I'm on mat leave.

I don't think baby will be here anytime soon. So ready for baby to be here now

awwbiscuits · 31/08/2022 20:38

I thought this one would be early. But at 39+2 I have given up hope. Quite frankly if he comes before 42 weeks I'll be pleased

Sweetbabydust1989 · 31/08/2022 22:39

Back waters have gone 🤦🏻‍♀️ xx

Northernerinwales · 31/08/2022 23:58

@GlitteryGreen omg rolling over in bed has became an Olympic sport. Me and my partner was sure she was going to come last week with all the pains I was getting but it just has completely stopped this week. I had some painful cramping Wednesday morning and I was sure she was ready to come but after about an hour it completely stopped and I’ve had nothing all day. I’m getting so fed up with the starting and stopping

Flibbyjibby · 01/09/2022 04:41

@Sweetbabydust1989 ooh does this mean it’s properly started?! Good luck 🤞

I’m awake with bad earache and swollen ear canal I’ve had for a few days… think it might be an ear infection so I’m going to have to contact GP today (been putting it off!). Hopefully they can prescribe me some fast acting drops or something as I really don’t want to go into labour with the added pain!

Also… now it’s September so I know my baby will definitely be arriving this month!! How exciting!!

Sweetbabydust1989 · 01/09/2022 04:50

@Flibbyjibby I have no idea all I no is if she doesn't come herself by lunch time I have to have an induction done as they only give you 24 hours very worried about it all xx

Flibbyjibby · 01/09/2022 06:08

@Sweetbabydust1989

It will all be ok! You’re going to meet little one very soon one way or another! Are you having any contractions?
