@Butterflytulip Iona is like this, wants boob after bottle, Ian takes her and rocks her off to sleep, she isn't always happy with this, but we persevere, otherwise as soon as she's done the bottle I pop the dummy straight in and then so the shush pat, doesn't work every time though. They do get used to it. Sorry you're having to stop sooner than you'd like, I wondered that with eyedrops as I get an eye condition due to a dodgy gene which requires 4/5 weeks of eye drops, steroid and anti inflammatory and just hoping it doesn't flare up anytime soon 🤞

Good that they've let you delay the surgery

Butterflytulip · 09/01/2023 07:41

Thank you @annlee3817 that's helpful.
I'll try a diff brand of dummy! What do you use? I used maam as my oldest takes it no problem but it's just spat out!!!
Will have to persevere with the refusal of the boob, it's so awful saying no but tough love :(
Hope your getting on ok? X

@LittlemissMama67 Orla is adorable! We've got a roller too (front - back, not quite worked out what to do with her head on back - front)

@exhaustedmummy89 We've started swimming, finally enjoying sensory and all the nasty jabs are out of the way now. She loves watching the dogs. Might need to go in her own room soon because she's getting quite long now! Time is going too fast

exhaustedmummy89 · 24/01/2023 09:58

Yay this is amazing it's funny to think we were all peeing on sticks this month and then awaiting first scans makes me a little sad 😂 would love more but have 3 now and my little lady is enough for 2 kids has a good set of lungs on her🤦🏻‍♀️😂 we started her on solids at 18 weeks best thing ever reflux and constipation have massively improved no more screaming in pain and she settles so much more sleeping through the night too 😄 still awaiting the specialist app for her CMPA but to be honest we don't need it now as I done it all myself and all it took was early introduction of purée it was the same with my sons reflux done him early and never needed medication again xx

dkedm15 · 30/08/2023 09:35

Hope everyone is doing okay - happy birthday to those who have had it, can't believe we're at 1 year already 😭

@dkedm15 it's crazy isn't it Sienna is 1 on Saturday 😩 we have had a rough year with her she was diagnosed with CMPA so been battling a dairy allergy.. how are you xx

GlitteryGreen · 02/09/2023 08:28

Aw can't believe they all are/going to be 1!

Mine's 1 on 15th 🥲 Gone so quick.

morningcoffeevanillalatte · 02/09/2023 11:44

@GlitteryGreen my sienna is 1 today I did have a little cry last night no more baby hello toddler with the attitude of a teenager 😂 xx

GlitteryGreen · 05/09/2023 21:31

@morningcoffeevanillalatte Same here re the attitude....lots of temper tantrums 🙈

annlee3817 · 05/09/2023 21:37

Ah Happy Birthday to those that have turned one, Iona was one on the 28th, also perfecting the tantrums lol
Starting to stand a little bit too unsupported.

@morningcoffeevanillalatte also CMPA here, hard work isn't it

morningcoffeevanillalatte · 05/09/2023 22:11

@annlee3817 like you wouldn't imagine we have been through hell and back with it all took us 6 milk changes.. 4 a&e trips.. countless gp apps.. 4 different consultants.. 3 different hospitals and 3 different dietitians.. I had so much milk and medication in my kitchen I could of opened my own pharmacy.. we had 22 hours of screaming for 6 weeks straight.. the rash was brutal.. honestly it's been hell it's taken 50 weeks solid to get her semi sorted out and we just found out that she had been reacting to her last resort milk since she was put on it but we only worked it out when we took her off it to put her on oat milk she has been a different baby she slept through for the first time ever on Thursday night we couldn't believe it I had a feeling the milk was to blame as we had her reflux meds changed 3 times and up to the max dose. She is dairy free now and won't be on any milk ladders for roughly 6-13 months, I really hope yours wasn't as horrific like mine was it put me in hospital with a blood pressure of 194 xx

morningcoffeevanillalatte · 05/09/2023 22:14

@GlitteryGreen oh god the tantrums are a pain already I swear girls are worse my boys were so easy and content my little madam screams when I take something off her 😂 xx

annlee3817 · 05/09/2023 22:28

@morningcoffeevanillalatte I'm so sorry you've been through all that, so pleased you're coming out the other side though bless you.

We were lucky as my eldest had a milk intolerance and so did my husband, plus history of other allergies and asthma, so they didn't even argue it, I recognised the symptoms straight away, took us ages to work it out with our eldest, with Iona knowledge helped x

morningcoffeevanillalatte · 05/09/2023 22:34

@annlee3817 oh thankgod for that I knew she was reacting to her milk after her second poo but no one would listen to me.. I saw 4 doctors in a&e one night as I refused to leave and then she was diagnosed the doctor was like it's very common in babies I laughed so hard as it took 7 of them to diagnose her not only that there is a family history me and my 2 nephews.. I was like sienna but thankfully I am more intolerant to dairy so can have it but not loads. Just hope she grows out of it xx
