@BambiEll third time mum here well soon to be.. lower constant backache was my first sign of Labour approaching.. with my first and second I had dreadful back pain like I was coming on my period x

I'm 37 weeks +2. I currently feel like every hair follicle on my body is becoming a spot!
My lower legs don't look so bad but my thighs are covered in folliculitis like spots, some on the inner thigh are really angry and swollen. I tried to have a trim up a couple of weeks ago and I'm still dealing with razor spots. I'm getting little white heads on my upper chest and under the braline/top of the bump area.
The worst are the infected stretch marks.

Unlike other pregnancy symptoms this one actually makes me feel like I'm dirty and worried about being judged while in labour. (I know this is a silly worry, this is my second so I know there's far more on both my mind and midwives mind's than spots when the time comes)

Is anyone else getting this? I feel like I'm covered in bacteria just waiting to fester in any open pore or stretch mark.

That sounds terrible :( I don't have quite the same but my face is breaking out like mad. Not to sound smug but I basically never get spots but this pregnancy at the beginning my face was erupting and now I'm nearly 39 weeks it's doing it again. Just hope it's the last hormonal surge in pregnancy! (I know there are more to come after).

I'm lucky in a way as my face is pretty clear, even though I've been neglecting it. I'm the same with not getting spots usually and at least I can cover my issues with clothing.

Unfortunately on the big day there'll be no hiding the problem, especially if I repeat my first birth and pull off any clothing that makes feel restricted.

@annlee3817 what's happening now?

Sweetbabydust1989 · 29/08/2022 10:53

@Sweetbabydust1989 I'm
Due on the 23rd but I'm being induced this Friday the 2nd as she's very small. Same happened with my last pregnancy but I still feel anxious.

HaresHoping · 29/08/2022 16:35

I'm due 6th September ☺️ just over a week to go! Analysing every twinge haha

Flibbyjibby · 29/08/2022 16:41

38 weeks exactly today and due on 12th. DD was 10 days overdue though so I am fully expecting this one to follow suit!

Goodgoodthings · 29/08/2022 16:48

I'm due 23/9 but having a scheduled c section on 16/9 so a bit more than 2 weeks left for me!

So excited to finish work on Wednesday and hopefully have some downtime before baby gets here 🎉

Sweetbabydust1989 · 29/08/2022 17:22

I’m also due on the 12! FTM so expecting her to be late

Mum2two2022 · 29/08/2022 20:02

I'm due the 15th September had lot fo twinges, I've dropped and lots of discharge! My first was 10 days early so kind of hoping early next week cause the thought of going the whole way is draining

MummyToBe2022 · 29/08/2022 20:16

@Sweetbabydust1989 I'm due on 10th.

Baby is very low though and I have had some cramping.
Wanting to hold on until the 4th after DH birthday.

My hospital bag is packed and is in the car ready because I'm back at work tomorrow so not wanting to risk anything with being busy again

WallsH20 · 29/08/2022 20:17

@Sweetbabydust1989 I'm also due on the 19th🥰 However I'm waiting for my csection date so might be slightly before!

awwbiscuits · 29/08/2022 20:27

Due 5th although from my own dates it should be 8th. He's very low but dd was born at 42 weeks. Trying to keep myself calm about it. Was not calm waiting for dd at all 😫

Sweetbabydust1989 · 29/08/2022 20:55

@WallsH20 hey due date buddy lol I am having a sweep done next Friday praying it works it did with my first born so hoping it will with this one my second son didn't need one he wanted out 😂 I don't seem to ever go past my due date always a week or so before so touch wood she takes after her brothers 😂

I have noticed increased braxton hicks and increased lightening crotch so hoping these are all good signs my cervix is starting to dilate ready for next week..

I have packed my hospital bags just a few bits I need to add into mine i look like I am going on a 7 day trip to Tenerife feel like it's loads my bag is so small it's mostly her bits I have done a small case for her and medium size gym bag for me xx

Sweetbabydust1989 · 29/08/2022 21:00

@MummyToBe2022 oh wow not long for you at all I have been cramping, more frequent Braxton hicks and the worse lightening crotch ever when I had my midwife app on sat she said she is head down but not engaged yet she probably won't until I go into Labour as she is my third,.

Hospital bag done I think/hope however I look like I am going on holiday and it's mostly her bits I just didn't want other half having to work out clothes etc if I need him to bring me any I would probs end up with loads of vests and 1 Sleep suit 🤦🏻‍♀️ I have taken enough incase I stay in for a couple of days rather be over prepared for it all xx

MummyToBe2022 · 29/08/2022 21:04

@Sweetbabydust1989 I've been experiencing lightning crotch too. Baby has been head down for weeks but like you this is my 3rd so I know it will keep popping in and out.

Baby is having a right juggle tonight, they are always very active so goodness knows what it will be like when he/she is out.

For some reason I'm starting to worry now about the labour. I'm more worried I won't have the energy and the memories of the pain are coming back.

All the best for the rest of your pregnancy x

WallsH20 · 29/08/2022 21:05

@Sweetbabydust1989 Ah fingers crossed that works for you! I had one with my first and she still went over by a week🙈

Its interesting you say that as my braxton hicks have really ramped up a gear in the last week or so! The lightening crotch has caught me off guard a few times - it makes me wince😅

Hahah glad I'm not the only one with enough luggage for a week😂I was in for a week with my first so I think I'm going for that approach again!

Sweetbabydust1989 · 29/08/2022 21:10

@MummyToBe2022 I no how you feel lovely about the worry I had 2 ectopics last year so I am panicking about the worst case scenario I think that's what's put me off washing any clothes or setting anything up.. I have one of those tens machines for pain relief hoping it works to some extent.. what you worrying about xx

Sweetbabydust1989 · 29/08/2022 21:14

@WallsH20 my kids seem to want out this little lady is so much more active than my boys were it's like she is trying to bash her way out already oh the lightning crotch is horrible I get it loads worst when I am out in public 🤦🏻‍♀️ yes braxton hicks are more and more but I kinda don't mind it as I can practice my breathing even tho that will most definitely will go out the window once Labour is fully here.. I must admit every time I have gone MAU which is located within the delivery bit there is always grandparents sitting outside with about 5 bags of stuff so mine must look minimal 😂 I am not 100% on her size so done newborn and 0-3 to be safe xx

MummyToBe2022 · 29/08/2022 21:21

@Sweetbabydust1989 I have epilepsy. I was diagnosed in 2017 so after my last 2 children.

I'm worried the pain will brin a seizure on and either cause harm to myself or the baby.
They have said I will need an epidural sooner rather than later which I'm not looking forward too.

Also with my last 2 my waters didn't break, well they did but not like they should. I was induced with my first so they broke my waters and I burst my waters when pushing my 2nd out. Worried that they go whilst I'm at work 😂 I can just see it now

I really hope all goes well for you, we are probably worrying over nothing x

WallsH20 · 29/08/2022 21:25

@Sweetbabydust1989 I don't know how I'd manage to conceal it in public😂horrendous. I find braxton hicks bad enough when out and about!

Ahh I'm the same about the size. We got told he was super small and were being monitored loads. Now they're saying he's on track to be bigger than my first🤦🏼‍♀️she was 7,11. I feel at this point it's a guessing game!

Sweetbabydust1989 · 29/08/2022 21:37

@MummyToBe2022 oh I definitely no how you feel my son was diagnosed with epilepsy when he was 5 and had just started primary school it was awful and a huge adjustment he is now 9.. I hope the hospital have been looking after you xx
