Hi all, checking in :)
36+3 here and so done with being pregnant. Still working (I wfh so figured I'd work till 37 weeks)
Feeling a lot of pelvic girdle pain and lightening crotch! Trying to walk as much as possible although didn't go out today.
How much is everybody walking per day?
Anybody doing hypnobirthing?
DH and I are doing an online course! Focus is to look at labour process as a positive, enjoyable workout rather than a painful one!

annlee3817 · 22/08/2022 21:28

Going in for induction tomorrow lunchtime, hoping I've dilated further and they can just break my waters, not holding my breath though. Have told DH to keep working and just come when he's needed.

Sweetbabydust1989 · 22/08/2022 21:31

@awwbiscuits thanks lovely that's really reassuring I was getting a little panicked over it all xx

Fortuny · 22/08/2022 22:04

I thought that deciding to finish at 38 weeks was fairly early, but the days are dragging. I'm not even 35w yet and I literally lay on the floor at home during a cameras off team call today. Blush

madeleine85 · 23/08/2022 04:37

@annlee3817 that is so exciting!! Good luck, hoping to hear good news tomorrow that your little one came easily x

annlee3817 · 23/08/2022 05:21

@madeleine85 thanks :) could take a while though, will depend on how busy there are, I doubt they'll start anything off today, when I was admitted last time there were women in, that had been waiting for days for a bed on the labour ward to have their waters broken 😬

Butterflytulip · 23/08/2022 05:55

Good luck @annlee3817 almost better not expecting anything to happen quickly as then you aren't disappointed and frustrated. Hope it goes smoothly for you and sending lots of luck.

I have my last scan later this week. C section booked towards end of next week! Totally in nesting mode!!! Every room is getting a tidy and even the windows and kitchen cupboards getting a good clean 😂😂

MummyToBe2022 · 23/08/2022 08:33

Good luck @annlee3817 😊

HaresHoping · 23/08/2022 09:30

@annlee3817 good luck! Hope all goes nice and smoothly, can't wait to hear about the arrival of your little one ☺️

@MummyRR I am walking basically zilch due to it setting off PGP 😑 but I did manage some very gentle Pilates last night, hurrah! Which hypnobirthing course are you doing? I think I might start using the guides meditation / visualisation type things in the Freya app to get into the headspace of it.

MummyRR · 23/08/2022 09:56

@HaresHoping Awww! I definitely understand how you feel. I walked up a very steep hill on Sunday and boy did I feel the effects of it yesterday! Woke up this morning feeling a lot better though. Hopefully a long walk this evening is on the agenda provided it doesn't chuck it down.
The hypnobirthing is from "the positive birth company", yesterday DH and I learnt the breathing techniques!

Sweetbabydust1989 · 23/08/2022 13:09

Sat here filling out a form and just destroyed a whole pack of biscuits 🤦🏻‍♀️ feeling better today had a good chat with my midwife about that scan I had and she gave me the figures and I feel better about it all.. just a heads up there is going to be a royal strike happening this week so if anyone has a tens machine etc due to be sent out give them a call mine was due to be sent out on Friday but it's now being sent out tomorrow because of the strike xx

WallsH20 · 23/08/2022 15:23

Hi all, just hopping on the new thread🥰

I had my final consultant appointment yesterday at exactly 36 weeks. After all the stress about having a small baby, they've told me he's now on track to be bigger than my first. She was 7, 11! According to the scan he already weighs 5, 10.

I've also been booked in for my csection at 39 weeks after a traumatic birth with my first. I'm soooo nervous!! Does anyone have any tips or advice? I'm anxious about the recovery with a toddler at home.

Thanks🥰

annlee3817 · 23/08/2022 16:03

Thanks all, @Butterflytulip hope the next week and a bit goes quickly for you

@HaresHoping I've been using the Maggie Howell natal hypnotherapy download, ten pound off her website, I used it last time and it really helped me with breathing and staying calm and focussed.

Nearly got sent home as wasn't in their books for Induction and therefore no bed, waited for a consultant to review my notes. They said I couldn't go home and they would have to reshuffle, so after three hours of waiting I'm now on the induction ward. It was frustrating, but otherwise the midwife and consultant care has been amazing, so I really didn't want to moan.

Butterflytulip · 23/08/2022 16:31

Whooop @annlee3817 your in now!!! There's no going back !!! Can't wait to hear your happy news ❤️

Em85kk · 23/08/2022 16:41

I’m 37 weeks on Thursday and got my first sweep booked for Friday! Hoping baby gets a move on so I don’t have to be induced at 39 weeks 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Peauela · 23/08/2022 17:06

Hey all! Had my scan today, I'm 36 weeks tomorrow baby is already 6lb 6! A bit crazy but we'll see how she grows during the remaining weeks 😬

20viona · 23/08/2022 17:10

Hi all, getting so close now! I'm being induced next Friday at 37 weeks as my baby is only growing on the 2nd centile. My daughter was born on the 2nd centile too so I aren't surprised to be in this situation again. Not looking forward to the pain I'm not gonna lie 🤣

20viona · 23/08/2022 17:11

Forgot to say had a scan yesterday and she's only 4lb 11oz little lady.

Northernerinwales · 23/08/2022 23:53

Hi everyone, I’ve just came across this post and thought I would join, I’m 37 weeks and due the 12th of September and I’m so ready for this pregnancy to be over. It’s my first baby and I feel like it’s been one thing after another. I suffered quite bad with hyperemesis until around 16 weeks to be told that I had to have serial scans due to having low PAPP A. I’ve had scans every three weeks and on our last scan Baby D is currently weighing approx 5lbs 6oz which I’m thankful for. On our first scan the consultant said baby was below the 3rd percentile and referred me to fetal medicine but now she is gaining good weight and is always kicking my ribs 😂

Sweetbabydust1989 · 24/08/2022 03:02

Sickness is back 🥺 3 times tonight and I now cannot sleep feeling really rough now I just so badly wanna jab my other half in the ribs every time I get up to throw up 😂 anyone else up x

20viona · 24/08/2022 03:05

@Sweetbabydust1989 I'm up. Sorry you're sick. Iv got a banging headache and I'm just too hot to sleep.

Sweetbabydust1989 · 24/08/2022 03:09

@20viona it's awful isn't it 😩 I have had it all the way through this pregnancy but tonight has definitely been the worst it's been.. braxton hicks to.. oh no those are the worst awful when you just need to sleep x

Butterflytulip · 24/08/2022 05:39

@annlee3817 how are you getting on with the induction?

Congrats to all the new joiners. 🎉

Butterflytulip · 24/08/2022 05:40

Iv been up since 5am with a 2 year old that wants to watch cartoons!!! To all the first time mums, Enjoy the newborn snuggles !! They go so quickly!!!

Mum2two2022 · 24/08/2022 06:25

@Butterflytulip know that feeling currently going through the 2 year regression. On top of pregnancy tiredness it's just not ideal 😩😩
