Morning ladies,

I am feeling a bit fed up this morning. I was up last night around 1am with period - style cramps for about 2 hours and reeeeeally thought that was it.

But this morning ... I've woken and it's gone....

I'm now 40+ 6 😩😩😩😩

Going to try and book a second sweep today!

Hi all I’ve been reading for a while but didn’t post as I was originally due middle of October. I’m supposed to be having a section tomorrow at 36 weeks because baby’s growth has tailed off (he’s been just above the 3rd centile since 20 weeks but has now gone just below). However, started with a sickness bug last night that my 3yo brought home from nursery last week (thought I’d avoided it!). Just phoned the ward to find out what needs to be happen with my section. Don’t love not knowing (and the being ill!).

I keep getting period cramps then they just tail off. Have a midwife appointment today (40+3) and assuming they will offer a sweep. Just desperate to get this baby out now before dreaded induction is needed :(

@Flibbyjibby that's exactly how I feel :( I have induction booked for Monday ... time is ticking... would really rather her come naturally!

Anyone tried to give them self a sweep?! Lol x

Officially my due date today and I also keep getting cramps and tightenings thinking this has got to be it, only for it to tail off 😭 my first was 5 days late so i don't know what i was expecting!! Fingers crossed our babies come soon. So uncomfortable now and struggling to keep up with my energetic 2 year old 😂

I can finally announce our little bundle of joys arrival.
5 days late born this morning at 4:25am in the back of an ambulance.

He is just perfect and we can't wait to go home after the dr checks.

Now I'm going to nap whilst Reggie sleeps 👶

@Ginny216 I know I feel so awful plonking my DD in front of CBeebies all day whilst I try to get some rest or bounce on my ball 😮‍💨 just want baby here now!

Welcomed our new arrival yesterday, she is just perfect. Due to be discharged soon and can't wait to get home to start life as a family of four.

@Goodgoodthings I think they dodged it me and my eldest are over it now so happy to be back to normal and looking after my little girl cannot believe she is 2 weeks old tomorrow where has the time gone!! Crazy to think this time 2 weeks ago I was in an induction room awaiting my labour/birth room I was tearing my hair out while being pumped with so many antibiotics due to her breaking my back waters early I could do this all again but I think 3 is enough now 😂 xx

So went to midwife appointment expecting a sweep but blood pressure is unexpectedly high so instead I have to go to hospital for monitoring. On way there now and just feeling a bit low and scared of a possible induction…

Had a second sweep today (I'm 40+6).... she told me I need to be active now although I'm currently laying on the sofa lol. Gonna go for a walk soon.

I had a Sweep today (39+3) and got told i've got a soft cervix but its closed🤦🏼‍♀️still early days though. My first was born at 41 weeks so hoping this one is earlier🤞

Well monitoring has been fine and BP has come down so think it was just stress! Waiting for midwife to come and speak to me again before I can hopefully go home.

@magd2901 sorry to hear you're unwell, hope it buggers off in time for your section tomorrow

Hi, first time posting on this thread. I'm 38+2 , sooooo moody, feeling really bad about myself, not feeling rested by sleep at all, very infrequent cramping , mostly at night. It's my first, really hoping he comes soon. Don't know how much more I can take.

Well I waited 2 hours to get discharged only for the doctor to tell me they actually wanted to keep me in - so I am now spending the night in hospital and will probably be induced tomorrow or very soon. Trying to stay positive after I had a huge meltdown and not getting my MLU birth 😢

A bit scared of induction…but I want to meet my baby.

todays the day for me! Leaving for my section in half an hour 🫣

Don't worry @Flibbyjibby you are in the best place and they will only do what is best for you and baby.

We left the hospital yesterday at 12:30.

Reggie is amazing, his older brother and sister adore him and he slept well through the night. I however didn't as I couldn't keep my eyes off him and woke at every noise he made.

Just waiting for him to wake up to go downstairs as my back is in bits from feeding in bed.
Definitely need to buy a feeding chair today as my after pains are so painful and the bed didn't help.

Update from me...

Following a 2nd sweep yesterday, I woke up to some bloody mucus (not much, a blob size of a butter bean!)

Since, I have had on / off period pains.

Me, bf and mum are going for a hot spicy curry tonight.

Come on baby!!!!!!!

(I am 41 weeks today!!!)

It’s official- I am being induced tomorrow due to raised blood pressure. I was upset at first that it had just been decided for me but now I feel a bit calmer knowing that my baby will hopefully be here before the end of the weekend!

Just trying to stay calm and let the oxytocin flow now. Have to stay in hospital overnight again so they can monitor my BP but I will be going home with a baby!
