Wow so many posts since I last checked in!!! Life is busy and exhausting with a newborn and 2 year old!!
Congrats to all the new mamas 🎉
Not long for everyone else, hang in there ❤️

Sweetbabydust1989 · 10/09/2022 06:32

@Peauela I second what @Butterflytulip suggested not to scare you but the reason my little one came early was due to the start of an early uti they tested my urine when I found out my back waters went and it was the start of a uti definitely get up the hospital to get checked xx

Sweetbabydust1989 · 10/09/2022 06:42

So I tried to breast feed my little lady again last night but nothing I knew it was a long shot as I never really got milk with my boys and well they needed special prescription milk anyway but I can't help feel a little guilty my girl is so amazing at latching and a very strong suction but nope only a tiny drip gutted but not going to be too hard on myself about it at all I did try and hand express but nope nothing in me xx

MummyToBe2022 · 10/09/2022 10:05

Due day today. Just had my sweep, now to stay active and hopefully progress further.

Wasn't dilated at all but the midwife has got me to 1cm. Really hoping this will start things off 🤞

Peauela · 10/09/2022 10:09

@Butterflytulip @Sweetbabydust1989 thanks! I actually had my appointment this week and urine was ok, I was more worried it could be a vaginal infection which would not be caught by urine test.

Northernerinwales · 10/09/2022 10:27

So today is the day I go to be induced and I have to say I’m bricking it. If I could run away and hide I would 😂 the last time I stayed in hospital I was a child and I hate hospitals so much. I’m so stressed

20viona · 10/09/2022 10:28

@Northernerinwales good luck! Iv had 2 inductions now and honestly both were fine. Not every tale is the same but I only had had and air for 1 hour then she was born :)

Northernerinwales · 10/09/2022 11:04

@20viona I’ve sort of blocked it out this week and just kept myself busy so it hasn’t really sunk in that I’m literally going to have a baby by next week

GlitteryGreen · 10/09/2022 11:26

Good luck @Northernerinwales, you'll smash it 😊

newmumtotwo24 · 10/09/2022 13:57

38+2 now and after being completely convinced this Baba would come early I'm now really feeling like they are settled in there and I'm going at least to term 🙈 ligament pain and uncomfyness has ramped up in the last two days. Very ready to meet this little one and to be able to play/carry my 18mo again!! Good luck to all of you having sweeps/inductions hope it kicks things off for you 🤞🏼

Mum2two2022 · 10/09/2022 15:56

39 plus 2 today...

No signs of baby coming any time soon next appointment is Wednesday just praying she can do a sweep cause I am hardly sleeping due to the pain at the moment when laying down

annlee3817 · 10/09/2022 16:35

@Peauela contact your triage unit for advice, hopefully they'll get you in for a swab

Good luck @Northernerinwales

@Sweetbabydust1989

annlee3817 · 10/09/2022 16:43

@Sweetbabydust1989 sorry you're having a hard time breastfeeding, we had to do formula for a day as I couldn't get her to latch, but decided this time I wouldn't stress about it, fed is best :)

Flibbyjibby · 11/09/2022 07:59

Due date tomorrow and no sign of baby yet ☹️

First was 10 days late though, just hoped that the second might come earlier!

annlee3817 · 11/09/2022 08:15

Ah @Flibbyjibby I think had I not been induced I would have also gone over like I did with my first. Hope you aren't kept waiting too long

If it gives you hope, my first was born at 42 weeks. This one was 1 day late.

Hi everyone, congrats to all the new arrivals 🥰 and good luck to everyone waiting to meet their little ones!

Sorry been a bit quiet - baby Alexander arrived on 2nd September after 16 hours of solid contractions 3 mins apart (ish) which got pretty intense. Arrived at the hospital 4am and was 2-3cm dilated, was 4cm dilated in an hour or so. By 8.23am I was standing up pushing him out with v little warning. Whoosh and there he was in one go, he came out crying!

Had a third degree tear due to the speed of his arrival so went into theatre to get patched up, seems to be healing well from what I can tell but I daren't look!

We are utterly in love with him but it's all gone by in a bit of a blur so far, typical first time parents!

Really empowering birth despite the lack of time for an epidural - thank god for gas and air! 😂🙌🏻

Flibbyjibby · 11/09/2022 13:20

@awwbiscuits That does give me some hope! I have a midwife appt on Thursday (40+3) where I will have a sweep but would ideally like to avoid it as did find it rather uncomfortable last time!

@HaresHoping aww congratulations! I hope you aren’t too exhausted and are enjoying those newborn cuddles!

Mum2two2022 · 11/09/2022 14:05

Congratulations to all the mamas who have had their babies!!

39 plus 3 today - went on an hour and half woodland walk so praying this brings something on.

Brilliant! Congratulations!

Def don't look, we don't need that memory in our minds 😆 I only had 1 stitch but I have no desire to see the state of it now hahaha

Sweetbabydust1989 · 11/09/2022 17:18

@HaresHoping congratulations hun our little ones have the same birthday 😍 hope you're ok xx

Sweetbabydust1989 · 11/09/2022 17:20

@annlee3817 still no milk so unfortunately little lady will be formula fed she has an amazing latch which is a shame I am not beating myself up though as long as she is fed and putting on weight I am happy xx

MummyRR · 11/09/2022 17:47

So lovely to hear of the little ones' arrivals now... hope Mums are all doing well.
I'm 39+2 today. Was told that baby is 1/5 moved down in my pelvis.
Feel like all my energy has been sucked out of me, anybody else feeling the same?

annlee3817 · 11/09/2022 18:05

@HaresHoping congratulations!! Glad you're recovering well xx

MummyToBe2022 · 11/09/2022 18:23

Congratulations @HaresHoping

I can't wait to have my baby in my arms now. So exciting to hear of all these new arrivals.

Need to ring midwife tomorrow to book another sweep in for Wednesday, really hoping that kick starts things as my first seems to have not done much so far 😔
