A bit about me: ttc 4 years, three miscarriages, third ivf, currently in PUPO.

I realise I'm a bit preemptive with this thread but I could not see one that exists already for March 2023. There is a generic one for all births which I personally follow, but it has been a bit hard to see two to three women joining every single day, getting pregnant so easily and naturally. Wish them nothing but great things, of course! Just needed an outlet with others who may understand the anxiety that comes with a troublesome conception journey.

@EasterBunny7 so great that you have created this thread, thank you.I find it hard following those really long threads.

TTC over 4 years, did 3 embryo banking cycles because of my age at the time 40, starting August 2021. 1 FT BFN,
1 canceled FET, I am 8dp5dt. Well will say 9dpd5t as it's past midnight. OTD is 4th of July.

This thread will be helpful as I know nothing past after BFP.

Welcome @Justhopeful thank you for sharing your journey so far, on this thread. Somehow, time goes slowly in the little moments when things aren't working out, but then you blink and it's 3/4 years later!

Keeping my fingers crossed that this is the one for both of us!

Hello, Am 41.5 and have had secondary infertility. Been a bit over 1.5 years trying. First ivf cycle has worked despite a low AMH and I’m nervous as had two back to back early losses the first two months of trying. In this 1.5 years have had op to have a tube disconnected due to hydrosalpinx so my chance at conceiving naturally I was told was low.

@EasterBunny7 Thanks for creating this thread. I’m in the due march 2023 thread also but agree that the anxieties from having a difficult fertility journey are not totally understood there. I’m 5 weeks pregnant after a natural cycle, FET with 5 day embryo.
My background, I’m 38 and been ttc for about 2 years. We had a fresh embryo transfer in March this year that was ectopic so ended in emergency surgery at 7+3. It was only identified during my viability scan with the ivf clinic so needless to say I’m absolutely dreading my scan this time! I never normally get anxiety but it’s off the scale right now, driving myself around the bend 😂

Welcome @birdbybird congrats on it working on your first cycle! Sorry that you've had to make your way to the IVF route after your losses and a operation to contend with, as well. Wish you all the best in this journey! How far along are you?

@Clarps84 Welcome and congratulations! The ectopic must have been devastating in twofold! Having to bear a loss knowing that it was just in the wrong place (and what could have been) and then worrying about the potential damage on your body. Very glad to hear you've had a success! Your GP should refer you to EGU, so that you can get it checked out as soon as possible that it's not ectopic. After having reccurent miscarriages, I am automatically guaranteed checks with EGU.

Oh @EasterBunny7 thank you so much for making this thread! Such a good idea! Have you had your BFP yet? When is your OTD?

@Justhopeful not long till OTD now! Aw I so hope you get your BFP 🤞🏼🤞🏼

@birdbybird I think once you have already suffered lose it really does make your anxiety go through the roof! It’s completely normal to feel like that and the worse thing about it is every pregnancy is different which makes it hard to compare 😩😩 how far along are you now? And congratulations!!

@Clarps84 firstly congratulations on your BFP! I’m so sorry to hear of your previous ectopic it must have been such an awful experience especially after going through treatment to get to that point! I can’t even imagine. When is your scan with the clinic?

a bit about me - TTC for 4 years with one early MC at 6 weeks 😢. 8 medicated cycles and 3 medicated IUIs all BFN. First IVF cycle and had a fresh 5 day transfer and I got my BFP. I also got late onset OHSS which kind of gave the game away with symptoms starting from 5DP5DT 🙈🙈 at the moment I’m avoiding hospitalisation 🤞🏼🤞🏼 But US shows several litres of fluid in my pelvis, lower abdomen, upper abdomen and above the diaphragm. Ovaries are both roughly 12cm in size!! So although I’m super uncomfortable and in a lot of pain I would not change this for the world!!

at the moment is all feels so surreal! Currently 4+5 and due 6th March. I feel like I can’t yet imagine the future, I still feel in limbo until the scan which is nearly 3 weeks away!

@EmzieMurf1987 thank you 😊 and congratulations to you too!
I can’t imagine how uncomfortable you must be feeling with the OHSS, is there anything they can do to help you?
i have a scan on 10th July when I will be 6+1. I know I may not see a heartbeat but at least I’ll know whether it’s in the right place or not. My local NHS doesn’t offer early scans if you have previously had an ectopic pregnancy unless you are currently experiencing symptoms, which I’m not and thankful for 😊

@EmzieMurf1987 welcome to the group and congratulations! What a journey you've had! Really hope the OHSS calms itself down. All that fluid sounds painful!

I might be cutting my nose off to spite my face but I'm still in PUPO. Official test date: 13th July but I will definitely be testing early. I just really needed a support group with others going through fertility issues to help keep me sane. It's all I think about!

I have told myself that if it is unsuccessful again, I will graciously leave this group and wish everyone the best!

@Clarps84 unfortunately time is the only cure - it can last a-few weeks or longer up to 12 weeks 🙈🙈 currently managing symptoms at home with best rest, daily weights, tummy measurements and lots of fluids and pain killers as required. Also on clexane now due to high risk of blood clots too. The clinic also calls me daily to check on me too which is nice 😊. It will all be worth it though!

oh that’s amazing you have your scan soon, I’m sure once it’s confirmed to be in the right place you will feel slightly better but I can understand the wait is agonising. It’s positive u don’t have any ectopic symptoms so far - did u have any last time?

@EasterBunny7 aw thank you! Yea it is rather painful - worst is nighttime trying to get comfortable to sleep, they have give me painkillers but I’m very reluctant to take them - I’ve been managing with just paracetamol before bed.

congrats on being PUPO!! When did u have your transfer? When do u think u will first test? Sorry so many questions 😂😂 I think it’s amazing u have set this group up! Always here to support, it’s a very lonely place to be xx

@EmzieMurf1987 only transferred yesterday! 😅I want to test immediately but I know that's nonsensical. Hoping to test 5dp5dt.

Hi all

I would love to join this group. I had a double transfer of "ungradable" embryos on 25.06. Had been having such a rollercoaster of emotions, no symptoms. Had even started to compile a list of all the things I could do when I'm not pregnant (wine, sushi etc). On Friday night 6dp5dt and got a faint line. ✨
Tested again 7dp5dt and this morning 8dp5dt test pictures attached I'm just barely starting to believe its true. ✨✨

Congratulations to those who already have their BFP and the best luck for those still waiting!

Thanks @EmzieMurf1987 and congratulations to you too!

I can't stop thinking about if it's one or two. I think we'll do an early private scan because I won't be able to wait. Or perhaps the hospital will know from my blood test. Either way I'm over the moon!

Hi

Can I join? Got my BFP at 11dp5dt after 6 rounds. I'm now 13dp5dt and it feels like my period is coming even though my tests have had really strong and clear lines.

It's freaking me out a little bit but otherwise I'm really excited

Plantsandcoffee · 04/07/2022 10:28

Congratulations @handslikebirds ✨✨✨

I've seen a few women say they felt like they're period was coming and then everything was fine. It's such a nervous time though I worry about everything. I've tested positive every day since 6dp5dt but I'm now nervous for some reason on OTD it will be negative.

Now I know what people meant when they said the worry just continues

X

@handslikebirds congratulations and welcome to the group! They say period symptoms overlap with pregnancy symptoms so just focus on that positive test!
