@Happycroc @PMAmostofthetime 37 weeks tomorrow, feel fine standing up but once I'm in bed feel like a whale! Baby was nearly 6lbs last week so pretty big! Request for c-section sent off so just waiting for a date, I'm likely in just over 2 or so weeks time! House still a construction site and waiting for new flooring to be put down, but k have booked a cleaner for a week's time to get on top of the dust from it all as I'm definitely not going to be able to!
And it's my last week at work!! 🥳🫣

This last part feels really long doesn't it.

I'm 39 weeks today. If I'd have accepted the c-section baby would have been here by now 🙈. 3 weeks ago baby was growth scanned at over 6lb 🙈 all the apps say, that this is where they put on fat and gain more weight.

I had an appointment yesterday all fine last night burning and blood in urine- back to GO this morning, also have swollen feet and a headache x

@Happycroc Aw yeah that would be ideal if baby came in the holidays, we’re you’re other two early?

@Coops0406 I feel exactly the same with feeling like a whale as soon as I lie down! Good idea you have a cleaner coming in….one less thing to worry about.

@PMAmostofthetime Have you finished work now? Oh yeah best to get that checked as I think headaches and swollen feet can be a sign of preeclampsia.

I’m going for a sweep this afternoon so hopefully my cervix is open and then can do it 🤞🏼

Been checked-
Water infection antibiotics for a week.

All checked for pre eclampsia no high blood pressure so all good. Have to rest feel and elevate them in the evening.

Headache due to infection x

as an update from us, I had a little boy on Monday- he’s absolutely beautiful and currently fast asleep on my chest 🥰 all been a bit hectic but starting to settle into life with a little one xx

@LKSF #1 was 2 weeks late, #2 was induced at 39 weeks and not ready, had to be persuaded! Everyone in our house (even the dog) is born on the 19th so if I were a betting man that’s where I’d put my money!

@PMAmostofthetime i’ve had a higher than normal blood pressure at my appointments the last two weeks and given the ongoing pain in my upper abdomen (which has got unbearable) I was sent into the MAU on Monday for monitoring and bloods to check for preeclampsia. Luckily or unfortunately the pain is just where the baby is so I’ve just got to keep going for now. They did prescribe me dihydracodine but then I was given a 5min lecture about the effects of a codine based painkiller during pregnancy so now I’m scared to take it.

my last growth scan 2 weeks ago had baby estimated at 7lb (eek!) my other two were only 7lb6 and 6lb9 at birth so this one is likely to be bigger!

I had another MW appointment today and she’s referred me for another scan as she feels like there might be excess fluid around the baby. Honestly, I haven’t had an appointment in the last 2 months where I haven’t been referred for something or other! Baby is head down but high, apparently in subsequent pregnancies they drop much later but she won’t/ can’t sweep until baby comes down so I need to do some strange stretches to try and convince little one to head toward the exit (no pun intended!)!

hope everyone is well and that those who have their precious baby in their arms already are settling into mum life! X

@Happycroc still patiently waiting, had a sweep done last Thursday, and lost my mucus plug on the Friday so thought things were happening but annoying not! Booked in to be induced on Wednesday!

Thats good they’re sending you for a scan to get a proper look! Try some yoga positions and bouncing on the birth ball ☺️

@Happycroc let us know how it goes- what stretches do you have to do- I have sweep booked for Wednesday but don't feel as though baby has dropped I'm very high up.
@LKSF awwww you must be sooo fed up- especially after plug going.

@PMAmostofthetime this is a photo is a “side-lying release”. Lie on your side on the edge of a flat surface and let your top leg hang over and get someone to hold your hip and rock you back and forth for up to 10 mins either side.

My MW said she won’t sweep unless the head is engaged so we’ll be doing lots of this within the next week!

@LKSF that’s frustrating! Lots of raspberry leaf tea, hot curries and pineapple cores for you! (Apparently the bit of the pineapple you need is the core so I use it to make a smoothie!)

Congratulations to those of you who have had their babies 🎉 and my sympathies to all you feeling uncomfortable and very pregnant! The last few weeks are hard.

Thought I'd post an update. I had labour induced at 39 weeks, because baby was measuring big but came out just under 8lb! We're so glad she's here, but the last few weeks have been a blur of appointments and visits from friends and family! It's been amazing but I'm almost looking forward to being bored!

I’ve got a scan tomorrow, is it awful to hope i will measure big and they will want to induce me?! I’m so uncomfortable!

And I get it, even though she wakes us up a lot, I sleep much better without the extra weight, and now I don't have to worry about not rolling onto my back. That's why I don't understand people saying make the most of resting before the baby's here, because it's very difficult!

Good luck with the scan tomorrow, maybe they will want to get things moving along!

I was offered a c-section at 39 weeks but declined this when I was 36 weeks and now I regret it 😂🙈.

I'm 40 weeks today had a stretch and sweep earlier-
Cervix completely closed. Baby's only 3/5th's engaged.

So looks like it's going to be a long wait.

Been having intense pain in my cervix last night and again today- so I don't know what the babies doing in there 😂🙈 x

Thought I’d share the news that my little Prince was born yesterday morning 💙 we are feeling incredibly lucky 🫶🏼

I was admitted following my scan yesterday, the little one’s growth has dropped off so the started induction yesterday but my cervix is very closed, despite contractions every few minutes for the past 30 hours. Got to get to a point where they can break my waters but there’s also a massive backlog of women waiting for the same thing so I think I’m going to be here for a long time!

Had my last antenatal appointment today, was supposed to be Monday. All seems fine with baby, head down still but not engaged. But I don't suppose that matters too much as we have our c-section booked. Last time listening to baby through the Doppler and then we'll be hearing him/her in real life! 😍

@Happycroc my advice to you is to get plenty of rest. I know it's hard with the contractions and the noise of the hospital but I was so tired by the time I had the baby and should have rested more. Hopefully you have your baby soon 😊
