@EmzieMurf1987 @EasterBunny7 sorry I didn’t fully explain. As I’m living overseas I do have a prescription (handwritten) for the injections however, it’s not an injection which is used in UK. It’s called Proluton Depot and is an oil based intramuscular one. I have collected enough for my trip to the UK however, they need to be administered by a Dr or nurse and I haven’t been given the needles or syringes to do it either. When I suggested another option my Dr said they couldn’t be prescribed in the country I live in.

So I either need the GP to administer my prescribed injections or prescribe something else I can do myself.

EasterBunny7 · 12/07/2022 16:01

I have a question myself: is it ok that I have a 10 hour gap between my evening and morning pessary? Or, should I try to get it to exactly 8 hours apart?

@Raspberrydelight I see! I don't know the answer unfortunately. Are you able to call your UK GP today before they close?

EmzieMurf1987 · 12/07/2022 16:41

Oh right @Raspberrydelight so you just need someone to administer the medication? Do you have any friends/family/partner that could do it for you? You could purchase everything you need from Medicare or another medical online pharmacy maybe? There are YouTube videos on how to administer intramuscular injections - I know our clinic teaches partners to administer those injections using videos etc. maybe an idea?

@EasterBunny7 I’m sure it’s not a problem, my clinic always said to me roughly 8 hours or as close as you can but I guess it can be super difficult depending on work/life commitments. I’m sure an hour or 2 here or there won’t make a massive difference but I have heard it’s more important to be accurate during the TWW but again not sure if that’s true or not 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

EasterBunny7 · 12/07/2022 18:25

Oh, a bit worried now. I don't understand why my clinic did not give explicit instructions on timing. I will adjust my timings tomorrow onwards. Last time, I started spotting at 15dp5dt which is in 3 days time. I hope I haven't done damage.

OP posts:
EasterBunny7 · 13/07/2022 10:06

Woke up to find some fresh blood (spotting). I am 12dp5dt. Does this mean it's over?

OP posts:
EmzieMurf1987 · 13/07/2022 10:19

Oh no @EasterBunny7, have you done a HTP this morning? Should have a nice strong line by this stage. Spotting can mean so many things that it’s difficult to say what’s going on for sure. I’m thinking of you and praying your Embie sticks 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

EasterBunny7 · 13/07/2022 17:39

@EmzieMurf1987 Sorry for the late response. Luckily, the spotting did not reappear since I saw it this morning. The clinic increased my progesterone dosage and just told me to update them on the spotting and retest in a couple of days.

Today was my OTD, which came out strong and positive. But, past experience has shown me I can have strong tests for a long period of time, but the embryo just does not develop.

Thank you for your prayers, I'm grateful for it!

EmzieMurf1987 · 13/07/2022 20:41

Oh @EasterBunny7 thats such good news! Glad your clinic have increased your progesterone - what dosage are you on now? And ofcourse congrats on your BFP!!! 🎉🎉🎉 so happy for you!! Welcome to the anxiety of waiting for the first scan 😱😱 do you have yours booked yet?

so sorry to hear previous pregnancies have not processed for you, do you have any reason for this? I really hope and pray this is your time and your little Embie is a fighter 😘😘

Justhopeful · 13/07/2022 21:24

@EasterBunny7 so sorry about you going through that and good news that it has not resurfaced. I hope you are hanging in there and hope for the best. I am sure it will be fine this time around.

@EmzieMurf1987 anxiety indeed. I had my first scan too early 5+3 and I have lost some confidence since. 2 sacs found, 1 empty. Booked in for another scan next week. Was online all through as my consultant did not give me a me any info. Only says it is too early. But that most times the empty sac will get absorbed in the womb. There's is all sorts of stories about this, been seeing a lot of information on vanishing twin syndrome. I have to wait 9 days, seems like forever.

How can one tell you are still pregnant as all the tests will show positive anyway.

EasterBunny7 · 13/07/2022 23:31

@EmzieMurf1987 just an additional pessary on top of the two I already take, alongside one crinone gel.

I'm an pro at waiting for the viability scan, although I've always started bleeding near week 5 and my embryos never quite make it beyond week 6 developmentally. The longest I've remained 'pregnant is just over 10 weeks. This is why hcg is not indicative of a viable pregnancy.

@Justhopeful thanks for the support. With your scan, I do remember you mentioned that it would be earlier than usual and I remember thinking it willmist likely involve additional trips for you. It's unnecessarily stress inducing and a waste of your time and energy, and their resources. I've had plenty of scans with EPU and I was running back every other day. You eventually realise that all those scans can do nothing to 'save' the pregnancy, it's just a temporary moment of hope. I hope that when you go back next week, they pick up that second embryo on screen! It could just be a few days behind big bro/sis. If it has 'vanished' I hope that you have one viable, healthy baby out of all of this.

OP posts:
EmzieMurf1987 · 14/07/2022 11:40

@Justhopeful I really feel for you. It’s way to early to see anything, the heart beat isn’t even detectable until at least 6 weeks. I honestly feel like they have put you through undue stress at such a scary time it’s really not fair at all! I hope you have some nice things planned to pass the time till your next scan. Remember there is no reason as of yet that they won’t find a heart beat next week ❤️

@EasterBunny7 that must be why my clinic don’t even do HCG - sort of glad as I’d only be agonising over numbers and googling everything 😂😂. Oh I really hope things progress for you this time 🤞🏼🤞🏼 Have you Had your embryos genetically tested? Xx

XjustagirlX · 16/07/2022 07:11

Hi everyone
we have been trying for 3 years. Had 3 natural pregnancies which all ended around week 4 or 5 ish. One suspected ectopic which resolved on its own.

started ivf in July 2021 developed ohss so had to wait 4 months with a freeze all.

2 FETs were cancelled as I don’t respond to estrogen. Then 3 failed transfers.

i got a BFP yesterday on OTD. Im 4+5 and got a 3+ on a digital which I’ve never had before. We put 2 embryos in so desperate to know if 1 or 2 have implanted.

my first scan is booked in for 6+3. This is earlier than normal due to the previous ectopic.

EasterBunny7 · 16/07/2022 08:07

@XjustagirlX Congratulations and welcome to the group! Sorry to hear about your long and difficult journey to get to this bfp. One thing that stands out for me are the failed FETs. The same happened to me and strangely at that point, it never occurred to me that fertility medication could fail working on me.

How are you finding it so far? Any pregnancy symptoms?

OP posts:
EmzieMurf1987 · 16/07/2022 08:58

Hey @XjustagirlX welcome to the group and congratulations!! Oh that’s amazing you got 3+ on the digi, I got 2-3 at that stage then decided not to test again as I’d be agonising over the result! 😂😂 could be 2 in there 🧐🧐 I bet your scan can’t come quick enough!!

im so sorry to here you have had a rough journey it really sucks but praying for some sticky embies for you 😘😘

how did you cope with your OHSS? I feel like I’ve just plateaued - I’m deffo over the worst but my stomach is still feels massive and I’ve ongoing ovary pain 😫😫 still 4kg heavier than I should be too. Any suggestions welcome ☺️☺️

EmzieMurf1987 · 16/07/2022 08:58

@EasterBunny7 how are you getting on? Xx

EasterBunny7 · 16/07/2022 09:16

@EmzieMurf1987 plodding along. Sporadic bleeding but yesterday's test was still positive. Ligament pain has pretty much disappeared and no new symptoms. Is it normal to worry about the pregnancy all day?

How about you? Pregnancy symptoms? Sorry that the ohss hasn't resolved itself.

OP posts:
EmzieMurf1987 · 16/07/2022 17:53

@EasterBunny7 erm yes! I think it’s totally normal to worry all day every day! Oh I’m glad to hear the bleeding hasn’t gotten any worse and I think symptoms coming and going is completely normal. I had such bad ligament pain one day, could not get comfortable at all and the next day completely gone so don’t read too much into it, it’s still super early and everyone is different and every pregnancy is different.

yea I’m doing ok, I feel like I have all the weird symptoms that on one talks about 😂😂 my skin has gone super sensitive and dry, my hair is greasy and I have insomnia - all apparently early pregnancy symptoms 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ Did not know this lol. I’m sure the OHSS will clear up by the end of the first trimester, I’m just plodding along with it now, I feel like I can’t even remember what it’s like to be normal 😂😂

EasterBunny7 · 16/07/2022 20:36

@EmzieMurf1987 sounds good with the symptoms! I think it helps make it feel more real. I see that you have made it through this week which was a tough one mentally, for you! You're coming up to 7 weeks? Have you had your viability scan? Mine is at 6 weeks 4 days, but I am dreading it. I'm even considering pushing it further back but I don't think the clinic would agree to it.

Welcome @XjustagirlX and congratulations! Your journey sounds fairly similar to mine… I also had a 2 embryo transfer and awaiting to see if one or two have stuck!

@EasterBunny7 i like the dates but not sure what my due date would be yet so I’ve not added it.

I’m now I’m the UK, went to my old GP and the receptionist has given me a telephone dr appointment next week and referred me to the Midwife Team. I’m too scared to call them yet… I’m not feeling any symptoms at all and no idea when my first scan will be. Today I’m 5 weeks 3 days and it was at this point unbeknown to me that my last embryo stopped growing- although it stayed put until 12 weeks. I’m still not feeling that it’s real and haven’t even have a moment of happiness yet.

How is everyone else?

@Raspberrydelight did you manage to get your GP in the UK to agree to dispensing your injections? Maybe I missed this information: are you just on a holiday to the UK, or you've moved back long term?

I have been doing the same as you and nervously dancing around certain dates where I previously had a miscarriage. Coincidentally, 5 weeks 3 days is roundabouts where I had miscarriages or the bleeding leading to miscarriage several weeks later. This time, I seemed to have started earlier, which also makes me wary. I mentioned how this is all I think about, but the positive side of it is being constantly aware has made me not forget my medication times and eating healthy. Even so, time is moving excruciatingly slow! I don't necessarily feel like I'm bursting with joy, my feelings are more reserved and so, I'm viewing my body as a task that I need to take care of.

OP posts:
Raspberrydelight · 17/07/2022 10:34

@EasterBunny7 I didn’t but I managed to find a way around it with getting the needles and syringes myself. I’m back in the UK for a the summer but I’m not sure when I’ll be leaving just yet. My IVF Dr is also on holiday until 16th august at which point I’ll hopefully be 9.5 weeks. So I wouldn’t have the option for the usual scans at my clinic anyway.

That sounds like a very level headed and practical way of looking at things. I like the idea of viewing your body as a task that needs to be taken care of.

What medications are you currently taking? After my MMC and the medicine I’m taking I’m not sure if I could start bleeding or not. Does that make sense?

EasterBunny7 · 17/07/2022 10:59

@Raspberrydelight I'm on: progesterone pessaries and a gel as well as blood thinners: aspirin and Clexane. On top of that, I'm on a high dosage of vitamin d. All recommended by doctor.

This morning, I had vivid dreams. I was wondering where they were, I've noticed them the last couple of times I managed to get pregnant. Has eased my mind a bit. Only 12 days to go till my viability scan.
