Thanks @EasterBunny7 and @Plantsandcoffee

I took another test today as I'm so paranoid, bottom one was yesterday FMU and top one today with fairly diluted wee. I think the top might be a dye stealer but im not sure which one is the test line and which is control 🤦🏻‍♀️

It's so disconcerting to have the same pains I usually get in a failed cycle but knowing it's just pregnancy related. Feel like we can't afford to lose this baby- quite literally, not a penny left to go again and no frozen embryos.

Will be so much more relaxed after our first scan 😅

Hello ladies, congratulations to you all. I am 11dp5dt, today was my OTD. Just had a call from the clinic stating beta is 621.

I am so happy at the same time so afraid because of all the stories I read on the threads, that I am worried sick. At 41 I can’t take any chances. So I really hope with everything that this little one continues to grow.

fingers crossed till the 1sr scan.

Hi, ladies.

How is everyone getting along? What symptoms are you having? What are you eating?

I've seen vitamin C is key in week 3, so lots of tangerines and kiwi alongside avocado, blueberries and more vegetables than I've eaten in a very long while!

handslikebirds · 05/07/2022 16:15

@EasterBunny7 I wish I liked fruit 😂 had a strong positive this morning and 2-3weeks on digital. I'm 4weeks 5 days, viability scan booked in for 3 weeks time.

Symptoms are sore boobs and tiredness and waves of very mild nausea. Still getting loads of period pain too which is so disconcerting.

Plantsandcoffee · 05/07/2022 17:28

Hey all

According to the due date calculated I'm 4 weeks and 1 day. My scan is on 28.07. So far I've been tired needing a sleep, nap or lie down every day.

I've had cramping today little bit worrying but I think it's part of the process. I'm thinking it's just my uterus stretching.

I've been quite nauseous today has been the worst. Today is the first time my nauseous has been strong enough that if I hadn't tested already I would have been suspicious.

@EasterBunny7 - well done that's great!

EmzieMurf1987 · 05/07/2022 17:37

Hey @EasterBunny7 how are you doing? I’ve been taking a vitamin C supplement for months now but in the TTW I ate nearly half an avocado a day - I think I read somewhere that it improved IVF outcomes 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ Your being so good with all your fruits and veges! Trying my hardest to eat well but I literally fancy nothing - very strange for me as I usually love food, especially my sweet treats but the idea of chocolate or anything sweet is like er no , even turned down a brownie yesterday totally unheard of!!

@handslikebirds its so hard isn’t it wanting to test all the time! I did my last one when I was 4+6 on a digital and it said 2-3 weeks which I’m happy with. I’ve decided for my own mental health I can’t keep testing now or il obsess over each one! Plus I’ve read a lot about the digitals being inaccurate etc so I’m just waiting for my scan now which feels years away!!

@Justhopeful congratulations!! Amazing news!! I think worry comes with any pregnancy but especially IVF pregnancies as for many it takes years to get to this point! Wanting something so badly we have put our lives on hold for however long that when it does happen it’s just so precious we don’t want anything bad to happen. I think on a lot of threads we only see the bad news and not all the good news that often gets missed!

@EmzieMurf1987 I'm not very good at healthy eating generally so this is one of those times where I make a concentrated effort. I had also heard about the avocado thing 😀

Haven't managed to give up chocolates yet, I would need pregnancy hormones to make me give that up!

Remind me, when is your viability scan?

EasterBunny7 · 05/07/2022 19:24

@Plantsandcoffee I hope you find your pregnancy symptoms to be a source of reassurance.

OP posts:
EasterBunny7 · 05/07/2022 19:31

@handslikebirds the same with you as well: I hope you see your pregnancy symptoms as a source of reassurance rather than anxiety.

Must be a bit difficult not enjoying fruit? What do you eat as alternatives?

OP posts:
EmzieMurf1987 · 05/07/2022 20:52

@EasterBunny7 it’s not till 22nd July!! Il be 7+4 by then - my clinic don’t usually do the viability scan till 8 weeks but they were full so moved mine forward a few days thankfully. I’ve been toying with the idea of getting one next week but the heartbeat isn’t always visible at 6 weeks so if that were the case it would cause more anxiety! 🙈🙈

EasterBunny7 · 05/07/2022 23:15

Ok, TMI: just noticed a lot of yellow, thick discharge with a hint of orange. Now, I am taking progesterone so I know some of it is that, but I'm thrown by the colours described. I haven't seen anything like this since I started progesterone 10 days ago. I hope it's not a sign of anything ominous...

OP posts:
Lilyduke · 06/07/2022 06:45

@EasterBunny7 I'm on Crinone gel and the discharge is so gross Confused It just seems to build up in there and then finally come out in big clumps. I don't think it's anything to worry about though. Still another six weeks of it to go for me if all goes well I'll be glad to stop it!

EasterBunny7 · 06/07/2022 08:59

Oh @Lilyduke you jogged my memory: I remember reading other women talking about the build up and clumping together of crinone gel. That's what it must have been because back to clear panty liner this morning! Thank you for contributing!

OP posts:
EasterBunny7 · 06/07/2022 09:00

@Lilyduke forgot to ask: will you be joining us on this March 2023 IVF graduate group?

OP posts:
Lilyduke · 06/07/2022 12:47

@EasterBunny7 thanks for asking, yes I will be. I'm due 2nd March so will be 6 weeks tomorrow. Still finding it hard to believe and don't think I will believe it until I've seen a heartbeat as I've got absolutely no symptoms. I've got a scan next Saturday so keeping everything crossed for that!

EasterBunny7 · 06/07/2022 14:06

@Lilyduke many congratulations! No news is good news, as they say. That's cool that your clinic does viability scans on a Saturday. Was this a fresh or frozen transfer?

OP posts:
Lilyduke · 06/07/2022 16:09

@EasterBunny7 this was a frozen transfer. My first one so feeling like it's too good to be true! My consultant is actually off on annual leave so I'm not getting scanned by them until 28th July when I'll be 9 weeks but I've booked another one for next Saturday for some reassurance. Was yours a fresh or frozen?

EasterBunny7 · 06/07/2022 16:14

Frozen, fifth attempt overall. Time is moving so slowly, I cannot even get myself to focus on something else other than this. My next wish is to get a heartbeat, which I haven't managed so far.

OP posts:
Lilyduke · 06/07/2022 18:55

@EasterBunny7 I have everything crossed for you! I know it's so hard to think of anything else when it's something you long for so much.

EasterBunny7 · 07/07/2022 23:02

Are people being careful about carrying anything remotely heavy? I know women with natural pregnancies get on with normal life, doing all kinds of things, but when you're worried about implantation problems, you've got a bad uterus and it's ivf, I can't help but be extra cautious. Had to do supermarket run by myself with husband working late all week. Got tired carrying the bags and had twinges afterwards, got me all worried.

OP posts:
Justhopeful · 08/07/2022 00:29

I worry about everything to be honest, I went for my second beta today, as I had to leave immediately after work in other to get to there before they close, so walked really fast, now Started having some cramping when I got back.
. Will try to take it easy from now on.

My first scan is on Tuesday, will be 5+

birdbybird · 08/07/2022 10:08

@Justhopeful how come you went for a second blood test when the HCG numbers for the first one were quite good? I ask because I only went for one.
