Wonder how many more babies we'll meet before we get to July 🥰

@strawberrysummer19 oh yeah the fanny daggers I’ve had those as well.. lovely aren’t they 😂

I’m 37+1 today and I only realised today how quick the whole thing has gone, even through the relentless vomiting, pregnancy is going to be over soon, as fed up as I am I feel kinda sad at the same time

strawberrysummer19 · 26/06/2022 20:24

@beetree1 I'm 7mins away from hospital luckily so I can always get fiancé to nip home I guess
Trying to pack light but don't want to get there and not have what I need

@GrowBabyGrow good idea, I have some nighties so will pack them - think I'll use leggings and t shirts more for walks around the hospital etc as suspect with being induced I'll have time to do this

@ChinChilly Fanny daggers 😭😂😂

@KizboBaggins my partner has 2 weeks off in all, my mum will help from then but she won’t be with me the whole time which I wish she was 😂 how long has your partner planned to have off?

@Peters27 thank you for the nursing bra info! I think I need to get measured as god knows what size I am now my milk is coming in!

MoiraRoseIsMyQueen · 26/06/2022 21:15

Hi, can I join? I’m 38 weeks on Tuesday and I’m feeling very much over it 😂 I’m so knackered, not sleeping well with sore hips and back, and the thought of going into labour is just exhausting! I’m planning a home birth, and we’ve got everything ready to go, part of me wants to just get it over with and part of me wants to wait so I can watch Wimbledon in peace 😁

GrowBabyGrow · 26/06/2022 21:30

@KizboBaggins I got this one from m&s in a couple of sizes bigger than I would need prepregnancy. It is kind of tent like but very comfy! www.marksandspencer.com/pure-cotton-knee-length-t-shirt-dress/

Coco9910 · 26/06/2022 21:57

I tried perineal massage for the first time this evening and I’m not sure if I’m doing it right! 😅 How often are we recommended to do this as one website says 3-4 times a week and another said every day!

Hope3821 · 26/06/2022 22:02

@MoiraRoseIsMyQueen hey I'm on a homebirth too! First one, sometimes I think I must be crazy to do it but I really believe in supporting my body to do physiological birth (I'm lucky I'm low risk which obvs is a big factor) and any time I deal with the gp or hospital I'm so incredibly grateful for my homebirth midwife!

I'm 36+3 now and I'm going to miss being pregnant in so many ways but also there's plenty I won't miss either 😅

CaptainCarp · 26/06/2022 22:10

@annie1994 he's gorgeous & I'm sure your toddler is just adjusting to being 1 of 2 & mummy not being able to lift them.
Hopefully it'll settle down soon.

@kiwi17 your nursery looks lovely! We haven't decorated ours at all. Although we have bought some pictures & wall stickers ready to decorate.

@SamanthaVimes that doesn't sound too disimilar to mine in terms of clothes... Will also have the clothes I go in, in. Enough to walk around outside & something to come home in.
Also only live 10mins from hospital so I can ask DP to pick some extras up if needs be.

Had a lovely weekend at a wedding & then with family today. Still can't believe I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow & I'll be ringing up for my induction time tomorrow 🙈 where has the time gone!
I've has a bit of back ache & some fanny daggers / javelin arse so I'm hoping that means baby is ready & induction will work reasonably quickly.

CatMumFTM22 · 26/06/2022 23:19

@SamanthaVimes Yes, the hip pain is real! I'm so looking forward to being able to sleep on my back again.

laurenGame · 27/06/2022 03:43

I live far from the hospital and my stay will be 5 days 😳 My 'hospital bag' looks like Colleen Rooney's holiday luggage.
So so much stuff. Packed and repacked it a million times.

@CaptainCarp I'm 39 weeks tomorrow too and going into hospital in the afternoon. So surreal!

As @ChinChilly said as much as I won't miss pelvic pain and vomiting, there is some sadness that I am now at the end of the road. I feel such joy to have been able to carry my little love under my heart for 9 months. we are only having one kid so it's melancholic to come to the end of my pregnancy journey 💛

beetree1 · 27/06/2022 06:44

@CaptainCarp javelin arse is a new one to me 😂very fitting

i believe there’s a couple people going in for inductions today?! Good luck if it’s you sorry I’m useless at remembering everyone’s usernames!

strawberrysummer19 · 27/06/2022 07:13

My partner only has 2 weeks off which starts from the day I'm being induced to look after our daughter so really hoping I'm not in too long! I was in 2 nights with her, one labouring through the night then I was kept in the next day

My friend who's just had her baby through being induced was in Thursday and out by Friday afternoon! My midwife said allow 5 days 😳really hoping that's not for the case for me

I'm very much over being pregnant now 🤣
I did actually miss it with my first and was a bit sad it was coming to an end...this pregnancy
Nope, it honestly can't come quick enough. This is our last (I'm 40) was ivf and it's just absolutely exhausting and I'm so looking forward to holding our baby and getting my body back. Not looks wise just being able
To sleep how I want, eat what I want and not being emotionally and physically drained
Roll on 3 weeks until getting induced !

Good luck for inductions today - do keep us updated if you can

X

Coco9910 · 27/06/2022 08:00

Good luck to all getting induced today! Very exciting 🥰

I’m with some of you, I know I will miss being pregnant! I feel like my pregnancy has gone so fast that I haven’t had an opportunity to really enjoy it and I feel like I haven’t got enough pictures of myself, my partner and the bump! I’m super excited for our daughter to be here though but it’s just been a whirlwind!

MoiraRoseIsMyQueen · 27/06/2022 08:18

@strawberrysummer19 I feel exactly the same - I’ve found this pregnancy SO much harder than my last (6 years ago). I feel massive and knackered, and I just want to sleeeppp! Fed up of being sore and uncomfortable, not able to get my own socks on, etc etc. I’ve told my husband to have a cold lager in the fridge to hand to me as soon as she’s out 😁 (not my usual drink, but for some reason I’ve been craving one all pregnancy!)

Lots of inductions on this thread it seems? Unfortunately they can take a long time, so be prepared!

MoiraRoseIsMyQueen · 27/06/2022 08:20

@Hope3821 yay for home birth! Really hope it works out for you - you’re not crazy, there’s lots of good evidence to suggest both you and your baby are likely to have better outcomes at home. Have you watched the Yorkshire Midwives? Such a lovely look at home birth 😊 So great you’ve got a supportive midwife; we’ve had to pay for a private midwife as home birth services are suspended in my area, nightmare.

ShellUK09 · 27/06/2022 08:45

Today is the day, trying to keep calm and take it very easy today. With my blood pressure issues I wonder if I will end up with a c section, but trying to remain positive. Glad we are going in later when it will be cooler. Could be my final day being pregnant, I will miss it too! Not had long off work to fully appreciate it all. Will take a few bump pics today. I won't miss being pregnant in the heat though, i've found it a real struggle to keep cool lately. Other than the severe sickness at the start, I have enjoyed being pregnant! It's been amazing seeing what my body can do.

KizboBaggins · 27/06/2022 08:53

@ShellUK09 eek good luck for today! I hope everything goes well! And for you too @CaptainCarp ! Such an exciting day.

@MoiraRoseIsMyQueen right there with you with the cold lager thing... never been my drink but I could absolutely murder one right now. Literally at 8.53am on a Monday I would smash a pint of stella... 😅

MoiraRoseIsMyQueen · 27/06/2022 08:57

@KizboBaggins hahaha what is that about? I’ve been sniffing my husband’s glass every time he has a beer 😂 it’s sod’s law the urge will go off me as soon as I can actually have one!

@ShellUK09 huge good luck! Your body is amazing, and even if you have a caesarean when it’s not your first choice you can still have a lovely positive birth. Things like immediate skin to skin, delayed cord clamping, nice music, dimmed lights - all doable!

ChinChilly · 27/06/2022 09:45

@MoiraRoseIsMyQueen @KizboBaggins Yessss! I’m thinking ice cold fruity cider in the garden, I’ve never been a drinker but it’s all I can think about 😂 I even brought and alcohol free one but it just wasn’t the same.

@Coco9910 I feel the same, I haven’t really enjoyed it or taken any bump photos.. I’ve probably moaned about being pregnant too much as well 😂

@ShellUK09 @CaptainCarp good luck for today, whatever happens will all be worth it when you’ve got your little babies in your arms at the end of it.

KizboBaggins · 27/06/2022 09:56

@ChinChilly I did the same! I bought an alcohol free strawberry and lime Rekorderlig and sat in the garden with it... it was absolutely pointless. Got less than quarter of the way through it, took one look at the sugar and calorie content and decided to throw it and have a slice of cake instead lol

ChinChilly · 27/06/2022 10:06

@KizboBaggins it doesn’t even taste the same does it just like really sweet fizzy pop, good call on the cake wish I had done that instead.

Lianna93 · 27/06/2022 10:18

Best of luck to those being induced today! Can't believe we're meeting more July babies in June 🥰🥰🥰

Praying it's my turn soon - don't know how much longer I can deal with this pelvic pain. I'm gonna have to have a day in bed because I literally cannot move for the pain today 😭😩

Genuinely cannot wait not to be pregnant- feel like all I've done is wish away this pregnancy but genuinely never anticipated it being so hard on my body both physically & mentally. Ready for my baby girl to be born 💖

Also with you all with the want/need of something alcoholic 😂 Ive spent the past 9 months sniffing everything everyone has been drinking - red wine seems to be smelling nice these days! 😂😂

SamanthaVimes · 27/06/2022 11:30

I had a growth scan this morning I’m 38 weeks tomorrow and baby’s current weight is estimated at 8lbs which sounds massive compared to DD (she was 6lb13 born at 41 weeks)
We’ve got an appointment on Wednesday to discuss with the doctor but I’m wondering if they’ll suggest induction or not?

Hope3821 · 27/06/2022 11:31

@ShellUK09 @CaptainCarp Sending positive vibes your way. You're body is so capable! You got this however you give birth 🙌 and your babies will be with you soon! 💕💕

@MoiraRoseIsMyQueen @KizboBaggins I've had the odd Heineken 0.0%. It's totally safe for pregnancy, less alcohol content than orange juice or a banana and it's so refreshing, but I really really miss fizz and G&Ts

@MoiraRoseIsMyQueen oh no can't believe they're suspended where you are! Just wondering if you're in Ireland? 🤔 That's where I am. Suspended in 1 County and an all over ban on delivering in the birthing pool. But I'm telling my midwife if my birth goes that way in the pool, there's no way in hell am I exiting my pool for the pushing/delivery, just for some crappy temp ban that hasn't been sorted properly. My body, my birth, my baby, my home, they can shove the rest! 😂
