@Sabiina you have my full sympathy on those jabs I only did them for a a couple of days and that was enough for me I couldn't imagine doing them for that amount of time xx

Goodgoodthings · 16/08/2022 09:59

@Sweetbabydust1989 great news on your results coming back clear! I hope you're able to find some moments to relax a little knowing things are ticking along well too.

I'm in the big baby club too over here 😮‍💨 my little girl was 9lbs 7oz and this one was on the same track until my fundal height measurement spiked last week completely off the guidelines. Hoping that it's a mistake but have a growth scan this evening to get a better idea. Has anyone else had this?

@Sweetbabydust1989 yeah I’m sick of them however I had no choice and I will have to continue throughout me breastfeeding etc. 🙈 But to be honest you get used to it.

But I’m happy for you that you don’t have to, they are a nightmare.

HaresHoping · 16/08/2022 11:05

@Butterflytulip thank you ☺️ it was a huge relief but has taken a while to get our heads around the fact that we might actually get to be parents, think it's only really starting to sink in now tbh! We had a couple of chemicals last year too so this is our beautiful rainbow boy 😍

I really need to get on that massage... I can't reach so need some assistance from DH 😂

Oooh that is exciting, not long to go now! How are you feeling about it all?

@Sabiina if you find some energy can you pass it my way 😂 I've bagged up some baby outfits for the hospital bag, done some ironing and had to have a nap! Haha pathetic 😂

Sabiina · 16/08/2022 11:08

@HaresHoping haha I will do but I don’t think I’ll get any sometime soon. I have slowly but surely been cleaning a bit today. Nowhere near enough 🙈😂

annlee3817 · 16/08/2022 12:45

Just had my scan and they've picked up that I have far too much fluid around the baby, she said
polyhydramnios. I could see the fluid on the screen, it was a huge amount, I'm just really surprised it wasn't picked up in any of my growth scans, particularly giving that I had one on Friday. Explains why my bump is so big though. I've been sent up to MAU to see a doctor, may be that the planned induction for the 23rd changes.

Mum2two2022 · 16/08/2022 12:48

@Sweetbabydust1989 so pleased for you!

@110APiccadilly good luck! I hope things go well!

I am 36 Thursday, he is currently head down in position she said he's e engaged but with 2nd baby's they can dip in and out so praying he stays there!!

Got my nieces birthday this weekend a week off then my daughters so hoping he can hold out till after the 2nd but ideally before his due date!

I JUST CBA TO BE PREGNANT ANYMORE!

however good news got 3 days left of work 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 has anyone lost their plug yet?

MummyToBe2022 · 16/08/2022 14:19

@Mum2two2022 I really know how you feel. I'm 36+3 baby has been head down for weeks but can definitely feel the pressure more now and I've had enough of being pregnant.

I'm exhausted constantly, can't get comfy and now that husband is back at work after a couple of weeks off for AL I'm just bored and feel alone.

Feel like I need something/someone to keep me occupied before I go insane but don't want to put on friends incase they think I'm just moaning

Sweetbabydust1989 · 16/08/2022 14:22

@Mum2two2022 thanks hun I am so happy... I no how you feel this is my third and she keeps bobbing in and out I don't think she will truly go all the way down until Labour xx

Sweetbabydust1989 · 16/08/2022 14:25

Thanks everyone I took a lovely stroll to the chemist and was happy to give them the items to discard of... so I did try and start packing my bags I got all baby items out and well you guessed it I put them all back I cannot face it yet and I don't no why maybe the anxiety of things is blocking me from doing it someone please slap this out of me 😂 xx

HaresHoping · 16/08/2022 15:29

@annlee3817 I'm sorry to hear that, very frustrating that it's not been picked up before! How did you get on with the doctor, have you seen anyone yet? Do you think they might bring your induction forward? Hope you're ok x

@110APiccadilly good luck ❤️❤️

@annlee3817 sorry that you’ve been enduring a massive water filled bump! So frustrating to find out now!

madeleine85 · 16/08/2022 15:32

@Sweetbabydust1989 lol I didn’t bring a single onesie or a car seat to our c section last week for fear of jinxing things. It may be time for you to pack the bag properly though 😂. Do as I say not as I do and all that!

Sweetbabydust1989 · 16/08/2022 15:41

@madeleine85 I think that is what it is I don't wanna jinx it all this time round my mum keeps having a moan at me especially with how many times I have been up the hospital this week I do need to do it 🙈 xx

Flibbyjibby · 16/08/2022 16:47

So had my 36 week scan today and the sonographer couldn’t stop laughing because my baby is in a position neither she nor her manager had ever seen before.

baby is head down, but it’s legs are stretched right up so it’s bent double and between the baby’s head and my cervix are two feet and a hand holding one of the feet!

technically not breech, but not fully cephalic either. Sonographer has referred me to the consultant to see what they think, chances are I will have another scan and baby will have moved (hopefully!) otherwise I guess it would be recommended to have a c section.

awwbiscuits · 16/08/2022 19:25

Oh blimey @Flibbyjibby !! Bet they'll move though

MummyRR · 16/08/2022 19:52

Hey I hope everyone is doing well. Really close to day we've all been waiting for!
Is anybody here suffering from heartburn and acid reflux?
I haven't had a decent night's sleep since I was around 30 weeks (35+4 currently)
Gaviscon has been helping with the heartburn but the acid reflux has been awful, especially this past week... so much so that I have been vomiting and suffering from diarrhoea.

Sweetbabydust1989 · 16/08/2022 20:03

@MummyRR I have had that since early pregnancy and all the way through nothing works I have tried everything I find I have to cut things like red meat down a bit as that seems to make it worse.. I have had it so bad it has woken me up before you have my full sympathy x

WallsH20 · 16/08/2022 20:18

@MummyRR I've been the same pretty much since the day of conception. I suffer anyway so it's always worse in pregnancy. I'm on omeprozole twice a day to keep it under control. I'd recommend if you're struggling. Cancels out any stomach acid xx

MummyRR · 16/08/2022 23:08

Thank you for the recommendations both, it's just too much now😞 don't know how you've been dealing with it since the beginning!

20viona · 17/08/2022 03:06

Hi all. Haven't commented in a while but have been keeping an eye on the thread :)

I'm now 34+5 had another scan and consultant apt today and baby has now dropped to 2nd centile. Iv been given an induction date for 37 weeks and also been referred to fetal medicine in the meantime. Also some concerns that i may have a 'hidden' pre eclampsia so had lots of tests for that and if anything comes up baby will be delivered sooner. All feels very real now.

I was induced with my daughter at 37+4 and she was 5lb 3oz but this baby is looking to be smaller than her.

I don't finish work till next wed and everyone's telling me to finish this week now but I feel so guilty as we are short staffed (nhs). Middle of the night ramblings!!

annlee3817 · 17/08/2022 04:45

@Mum2two2022 feel the same, very over this pregnancy now, want her here now.

@HaresHoping after waiting nearly four hours to see the doctor, all she did was give me a sweep and send me on my way, I've got my rescheduled midwife appointment on Friday, so will have another sweep and be able to ask questions.

@Flibbyjibby that must be uncomfortable? Hope baby moves for you 🤞

@MummyRR sorry you're suffering so badly with the acid reflux, I've just had the heartburn so no experience of reflux, really hope the baby drops a bit soon and it eases for you.

@20viona sorry to hear you've got the worry of possible pre eclampsia on top of dropping percentiles, good that they have a plan in place and keeping an eye on you

HaresHoping · 17/08/2022 04:52

Oh @annlee3817 that's so frustrating 😔 sorry you had to wait so long for that. Just a couple more days until the midwife and some more answers, hang in there. What do you have planned until then, lots of rest / things to distract you I hope?

OP posts:
HaresHoping · 17/08/2022 04:54

@20viona bless you that sounds stressful. Do not feel guilty! It's not your fault that you're short staffed and you need to prioritise you and baby. One more week will make little difference to them in the grand scheme of things but a huge difference to you ❤️

annlee3817 · 17/08/2022 04:55

@HaresHoping attempting to entertain my 7 year old lol :) and will try and walk lots to encourage the baby to come down a bit more.

Are you on mat leave now?
