@TurquoiseDreamCatcher I am also knackered so you have my sympathies. I am ok with water during the day, then at night get so thirsty no matter what I do, and then spend 11-1am up at the bathroom. Then my toddler inevitably wakes up at some point, and my husband starts snoring/keeping me awake. I'm very irritable from 2-4am basically! I am also a back sleeper, and i'm dreading having to switch it, though probably should have done that already. If I sleep on my side i'm just not comfortable, but if i'm on my back too long now that hurts too. Damn you pregnancy!!

In better news... congratulations to all those hitting the 28 week 3rd trimester mark this week. Yessssss to the home stretch. Also huge congratulations to the las of the September due date bunch who are hitting 24 weeks and viability this weoo. I feel because of that, like this week is a big one for our group❤

legaltigger · 06/06/2022 17:56

I'm 27 weeks today! Starting to feel it too 🤣 he continues to only kick and fidget downwards, I have no idea what kind of position he is in. I could just not feel anything at the top because of the placenta.

legaltigger · 06/06/2022 17:58

@madeleine85 I have such weird sleep issues. My hips hurt but I can't breathe through my nose if I lay on my left side, but then my right hip kills me, and I have to lay on my back.

Tbh last time I did have to lay on my back as I was in such pain on either of my sides and it was alright.

madeleine85 · 06/06/2022 18:05

Apparently i've lost the ability to spell today... let's blame baby brain for that one!

Also feeling pretty massive, my boobs have started to tingle again (27 +6) so i'm guessing the production is starting, but i haven't noticed any coming out. Feeling down low kicks and rib cage pressure up high, but also no idea what position he is in, I also don't know if i'll get any further scans, but have checks every 2 weeks now till the final month then it's weekly. Generally exhausted from lack of sleep, and I think just pregnancy in general. What a wonderful experience 😃

madeleine85 · 06/06/2022 18:08

@legaltigger I think I slept on my back the whole of my last pregnancy until 34 weeks and birth, as I didn't know better, and I was very small, so I think right now I am the size I was then. I'll ask my doctor this week when i see them and see if they are concerned at all. Hoping the awkwardly positioned back sleeps can continue.

Belle2210 · 06/06/2022 18:08

Catching up on the thread again... Thank god for Bookmarks! I think it's was @TurqoiseDreamCatcher that said about feeling colder, this has been me too the past week!

This week I graduated to having my very first pile 😩....pregnancy "milestone" 🙄. Now dreading the aftermath of a V birth if that is how baby makes an exit.

Anyone else have absolutely horrendous indigestion? Heartburn issues I've had forever so although it's really bad now I can deal with it but oh dear god indigestion. Feel like I've a constant burp sitting in my chest after eating to the point I often have to get out of bed and walk about to basically wind myself 😩. It's so uncomfortable. I've never been one to burp alot so this is all new if anyone has any tips.

Did someone say baby can drop from any point in the 3rd Trimester? Im hoping this makes a difference when it happens 🤞🤞.

@Sweetbabydust1989 I hadn’t heard of choleostasis but I’ve just had a read about it and it doesn’t sound fun! I’ve been itching like crazy the past few nights, especially on the soles of my feet. We were away and staying in the van which got quite hot, so I think it could be that, but I’ll keep an eye on it over the next few days. Thank you for mentioning it!

@madeleine85 aww I’m experiencing thirst at night too. It’s so frustrating also waking up super hungry but not eating because it’ll probably keep me up. I’m a side sleeper but I always start off on my back till I’m almost asleep... but now if I’m on my back for 5 mins+ I get so out of breath and my little boy starts wriggling loads! It makes me feel a little sad as if he may be trying to communicate that he can’t breathe or he isn’t getting enough blood. I’m just treating myself to a short lie down on my back before turning over to my side.
Thank you for your positive comments about the group. I feel ya! Awesome to recognise we’re 24-28 weeks now.

@Belle2210 yes I’ve got horrible indigestion! It seems to be getting worse. When I was having a lie down the other day I kept feeling my food/bile travelling up my throat. I’d take a deep breath and it would painfully travel back down. I’ve never had this before but it’s so nasty! It makes me not want to eat anything! That being said, it’s worse after foods like bread, which my body didn’t digest very well pre-pregnancy, so maybe I’m done with eating wheat again! :(

Sending you all lots of love, blessings and back rubs xxx

madeleine85 · 06/06/2022 18:31

@Belle2210 I just got really optimistic from reading your comment that he would suddenly get out of my ribs, but the internet says that with your first it is usually 2-4 weeks pre birth that they drop, and with your second it is immediately before, or during labour. So my hopes are dashed! Glad to know though as I am trying to avoid pre-term labour this time around, so if I suddenly feel better with the bump positioning then it might be a warning sign.

Sweetbabydust1989 · 06/06/2022 18:43

@Celyn22 no problem lovely it's bloody awful I want to scratch my feet to death!! I have another blood test this week hoping it's just the heat and swollen feet causing it xx

Celyn22 · 06/06/2022 18:51

@Sweetbabydust1989 I hope it is the swollen feet and heat! Please let us know when you find out for sure :) sending you cooling and soothing balm to your tootsies!

Em85kk · 06/06/2022 19:46

I’m in the no sleep club too. Wake up for a wee about 2-3am (Every.Single.Night), hips sore and can’t get comfy so I’m wide awake for a couple of hours. I’m majorly feeling it today, I’m so tired I think I’m going to bed in a minute (7.40pm). Pregnancy is just 9 months of preparation for sleep deprivation 😴🥱 Also my sinuses have started to ache again and I’ve got a headache 😩 feeling sorry for myself!

madeleine85 · 06/06/2022 19:47

@Sweetbabydust1989 is there any way it is pregnancy hives/allergies? Hoping so for you as the other one sounds pretty scary! In my early 30s I started getting what the doctors here call "chronic hives" which sounds much worse than it is. Basically every 3 days I start getting very itchy, starting with hands and soles of feet, I get tiny itchy lumps, and it works it way onto my torso and other limbs if I don't take a benadryl/clarityn once a day type allergy pill. Since being pregnant this time, it has gone from occurring once every 3 days to once every 1.5 days. Hoping it goes back down in frequency once this guy is out! The soles of feet comment just made me think of it. Fingers crossed for no cholastasis, or if it is that there is a good safe treatment x

Sweetbabydust1989 · 06/06/2022 19:55

@madeleine85 unfortunately not as I don't have any rashes at all it's really weird they aren't even red they just itch like crazy it's mostly my feet and at night its worse I will be up all night itching them it's something to do with the liver and bile hopefully it all comes clear xx

Sweetbabydust1989 · 06/06/2022 19:56

@Celyn22 I hope so too lovely I have been living in my sandals so I no it's not a foot infection they checked them when I had the first bloods done xx

Butterflytulip · 07/06/2022 11:09

@Sweetbabydust1989 and @Celyn22 hitch soles of feet during the night is almost certainly choleostasis and you defo need
to get checked by doc or midwife asap. I wouldn't watch and wait.. anything out of the ordinary should be investigated.

Can't believe I'm almost 27 weeks !! Crazy!! Feel fine and sleep fine and actually walking faster in this pregnancy than the last! Think the gym and swimming is helping me keeping mobile.

Sweetbabydust1989 · 07/06/2022 11:11

@Butterflytulip I have already been hospital about it I had a blood test done on Saturday and have to have another this Saturday to check levels for comparison x

GlitteryGreen · 07/06/2022 11:37

Sympathies to everyone who has mentioned indigestion, I am with you. I have never had it before in my life but on 2 occasions recently have had it terribly...like all through the night and then into the next day!!

It was probably my fault as we were away so I had a big meal (curry!!) and a few non-alcoholic gins, and it just ruined me until well into the next afternoon. Had to sleep propped up 😂 Nightmare.

Butterflytulip · 07/06/2022 12:38

Hope your ok @Sweetbabydust1989 as long as they are keeping an eye on you

ALYGirl · 07/06/2022 14:37

I'm 28 weeks on Thursday and boy am I feeling it now. I'm hot, back hurts, he keeps kicking my bladder and cervix and night time is a constant battle between getting up to pee and then feeling overwhelmingly thirsty (so the cycle never ends). Today is the first day I have dreaded being pregnant over the Summer months. I went to Kenya from 17-20 weeks and was fine, I think I underestimated how much bigger I was going to get 😂

Butterflytulip · 07/06/2022 14:49

@ALYGirl oh dear I feel for you!
I'm lucky in that I have a small bump. I never got huge and uncomfortable. I hope the next 3 months go super quick !!

GlitteryGreen · 07/06/2022 15:30

@ALYGirl I feel the same about the dread of the summer months, it started for me today too!

I am lucky to not be uncomfortable generally but this morning I felt SO hot, I ended up sitting in my underwear on the sofa, and then going to lay on the bed in front of the fan when that wasn't cooling me enough. It was only 21 degrees in my flat...it gets up to 30ish on very hot summer days 😩

Sweetbabydust1989 · 07/06/2022 16:46

@Butterflytulip they sure are the problem I have is that even with the itching it can take time for the blood tests to show anything up that's the reason for the repeat blood test.

Redapple21 · 07/06/2022 17:39

Hope everyone is ok and the cholestatis tests come back clear! Even if they don't I'm sure you will be well looked after. I've had a couple of friends who have had this and been just fine.
26 weeks this week for me and I'm starting to feel a little more uncomfortable now, it feels like my bump has had a growth spurt! People in work are definitely commenting more this week with comments like 'oh you've popped now!' - great, thanks! Ha.
I'm finding I definitely need to wee more often. If I'm sat down I don't need it but as soon as I stand up, I need to go. It's usually only a little wee so I'm like 'why was I so desperate??!' The baby must push down more when I stand up? Gravity I guess. I'm also finding bending forward quite uncomfortable now so trying to avoid this. I think I'm starting to panic now thinking the last trimester could be quite uncomfortable as I've been lucky to feel really good so far! Off to antenatal Pilates tonight, I always almost talk myself out of going but once I'm there I do enjoy it!

ALYGirl · 08/06/2022 10:57

Just in case anyone else is also having their gestational diabetes test soon, I am in the middle of mine (had the first bloods and the drink and now just waiting for the second bloods) and it was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. The drink tasted just like an orange capri sun and was actually enjoyable. The waiting around is a bit of a pain but can’t really complain too much.

GlitteryGreen · 08/06/2022 11:03

@ALYGirl I am having mine in 2 weeks....hoping they'll let me go home for the 2 hours in between as I only live over the road and am meant to be working on that day. Hope they don't make me sit there the whole time!
