@Sweetbabydust1989 aww, not long to go! Sometimes it’s just one thing after another isn’t it? Glad they’re looking after you. If you want to cry, go ahead and have a big cry but remember you’ve got this x

Sweetbabydust1989 · 12/08/2022 17:43

@Em85kk it's so much stress on the plus my little girl is doing well it's all me unfortunately.. I am not sure if they will induce at term now instead of doing the sweeps xx

WallsH20 · 12/08/2022 17:46

@Sweetbabydust1989 Aw no you poor thing! Sending lots of hugs. I had a DVT after my first and the injections are rotten but you do get used to them. My husband had to do them as I was too much of a chicken! Have they said why they think it's that? Hopefully it's not! I have to go back on thinning injections after this one is born. Purely as a precaution and I'm dreading it. All worth it to know you're safe though.

Sweetbabydust1989 · 12/08/2022 17:50

@WallsH20 they aren't sure what's caused it at all never had this with any of my other pregnancies they think I could have a clot in my lung as I have such bad shortness of breath.. I am getting my partner to do them for me.. I kept being fobbed off well look at me now 🥺 I am hoping my baby is ok they said she is otherwise they wouldn't send me home.. xx

WallsH20 · 12/08/2022 19:55

@Sweetbabydust1989 I'll keep everything crossed that the scans come back clear🤞I'm glad they've let you go home! It reassured me that the thinning injections work straight away so you're nice and safe, as is baby tucked away in there💕

Sweetbabydust1989 · 12/08/2022 20:29

@WallsH20 thanks lovely just gutted now as I don't think I can have a water birth anymore 🥺 xx

Butterflytulip · 13/08/2022 05:14

@110APiccadilly haha it's so hard to get out of them! Lockdown last time didn't help as couldn't get measured!!

@Mum2two2022 I had similar yesterday, from my bum down my leg. I was sitting for longtime working from home. It's too uncomfortable now to work! Need to keep moving.

Flip @Em85kk what are your options then?? Gas and air?!

@Sweetbabydust1989 so glad they picked that up and you are getting treated. So important to keep mobile and take your injections. I got same injections to prevent clots after section, it's hard work. Not long now tho, sending hugs.

Iv so much discharge (sorry tmi!!). Pants need changed twice a day!!! The heat is not helping!! Just under 3 weeks to go here.

Hope everyone has nice weekend. In UK where I am it is hot hot hot!!!! Just about managing in the heat!! Up at 5am cause it's too uncomfortable to sleep!!!

annlee3817 · 13/08/2022 05:21

@Sweetbabydust1989 sorry to hear you've got a possible blood clot, hope you get sorted and on the mend soon.

@Butterflytulip same as you with the discharge, I've been wearing liners, but find them really uncomfortable in this heat.

Induction booked for the 23rd, sweep on the 16th, bit nervous about an induction with a big baby, but will see what the sweep does.

How is everyone managing with the heat? My feet and lower legs look like elephants feet and legs, and they are so sore, was the same with DD, can't wait for her to arrive and the swelling to go.

Butterflytulip · 13/08/2022 05:39

Wow @annlee3817 only 10 days to go unless you go before with the sweep!! What's the estimated weight now?
My little one was 5lb 7oz at 35w 6d.

How are the babies that have been born doing? Hope all is well ❤️

annlee3817 · 13/08/2022 05:42

@Butterflytulip estimated weight at 37+3 is 7lbs 13oz, they reckon just under 9lbs at 39 weeks, hoping they're wrong lol

What percentile is yours tracking?

Butterflytulip · 13/08/2022 05:55

Flip @annlee3817 think there's 20% margin of error so hopefully not as big!!!
23rd percentile. Was sitting at 10th then 20th so this one is on track to be small like my first. I'll prob not even hit 7lb by 39 weeks but who knows!!!

annlee3817 · 13/08/2022 06:01

@Butterflytulip great that baby has come up to the 23rd :) my DD was 50th and born 7lbs 10 at 40+5, so was expecting the same. At least you'll get some good wear out of the newborn stuff

Butterflytulip · 13/08/2022 06:20

Yep definitely have neutral pieces from my first born, they seem so tiny though hanging out on the washing line!! Look too small
To even fit my daughters baby dolls 😂😂
So excited now, can't wait to meet baby. I'm
nervous, apprehensive and excited! Covid rules might tighten up in my hospital trust come sept, something about new Covid / flu guidance come Sept for the autumn winter. Just hope my partner gets to come in more than he did when we were in lockdown.
Hope you continue to feel ok and fingers crossed the sweep works for you 🤞🤞

Butterflytulip · 13/08/2022 06:21

Thanks !!

Butterflytulip · 13/08/2022 06:22

Ignore that thanks lol. Can anyone set up thread 8 soon?? Iv no clue how to do it !!

Em85kk · 13/08/2022 07:23

@Butterflytulip yeah pretty much! Pethidine but I had that with my first and didn’t like it. Bit worried as if he doesn’t come by himself early I’ll be induced at 39 weeks. Let’s hope it’s quick and easy!

Sweetbabydust1989 · 13/08/2022 09:21

@Butterflytulip oh yes it's so scary especially the injections I am not a fan of needles but it's either that or being dead.. I am so happy my baby is ok that's all that matters to me just a shame it's taken this long for them to treat me.. I asked for my consultant app to be moved forward but apparently iam not a priority 🤦🏻‍♀️ thankfully this is my last baby I would never want to do this again with how badly the midwife team have been I always had brilliant care when I had my boys but this time round well it's not good especially when the midwife was going to send me home yesterday without even being checked.. how are you lovely xx

Flibbyjibby · 14/08/2022 07:57

Does anybody else feel like they have turned into an absolute ogre? I’ve been pretty good this pregnancy at not being grumpy with DH but these last few days (maybe it’s just the hot weather) I have just felt miserable, massive and like everything is a huge effort. Cramps in legs, bump feels like it’s stretching, baby constantly kicking my bladder, feeling tired all the time.

Doesn’t help that DD (18m) is going through a sleep regression and has just learned the word ‘no!’. I think I’m stressing about how hard it’s going to be with a newborn and a 1 1/2 year old who is waking in the night crying.

to be fair DH is doing a lot for me now - yesterday he did the shopping, cooked dinner and did bath and bedtime for DD. I just feel guilty that all I feel like doing is sitting down or napping :(

Butterflytulip · 14/08/2022 22:31

@Flibbyjibby I'm dreading a toddler with newborn too and I'm having a c section. Not a good combination but I'm hoping recovery will be quick 🤞🤞
Also got cramps and stretching, moisturising at least 4 times a day now, helps with the itchiness and skin stretching.

It's going to be hard but we aren't the first to do it. Hang in there 😊😊

@Sweetbabydust1989 definitely complain!!!! It could have gone so wrong. Hope your ok. All good here, feel like I should be slowing down now. Just under 3 weeks to go!!

Sweetbabydust1989 · 14/08/2022 22:41

@Butterflytulip wow going so fast isn't it how you feeling?? I still haven't packed yet been shouted at to get it done🤦🏻‍♀️

I was back up the hospital today I put in a complaint this morning they told me to go straight up there as they lost half my blood test results so had to redo them today aswell as a few new ones.. thankfully all have come back clear just awaiting the bile bloods coming back.. my chest X-ray was clear and I am suppose to be having the lung test tomorrow fingers crossed that is clear the midwife who saw me today was so lovely she told me to stop the injections until tomorrow I only did my morning one so have some still in my system she doesn't think I have a clot she believes it could be my severe anxiety and the heat aswell as regular braxton hicks.. I literally broke down to her I have held it together for months but I think I needed a good vent.. my little lady is doing amazing no cause for concern with her.. consultant midwife is contacting me tomorrow too xx

Butterflytulip · 14/08/2022 22:48

@Sweetbabydust1989 oh my gosh you have been through an awful stressful time. So glad you complained. How they could lose your bloods!! Omg just glad you've had a good experience today with a different midwife. Glad someone is on top of things and contacting you tomorrow. Sending virtual hugs

Sweetbabydust1989 · 14/08/2022 22:54

@Butterflytulip I think what made me and my partner so angry was they told me I could have something life threatening and they loose half my bloods also they said because it was a Friday they couldn't fit me in for the lung test so it's life threatening but it can wait until Monday makes so much sense 🤦🏻‍♀️ oh definitely feel better today just hoping I get the lung test tomorrow and that's clear so I can enjoy my final weeks xx

Redapple21 · 15/08/2022 09:43

@Sweetbabydust1989 so sorry to hear about all the stress you've had, so glad you saw a nicer midwife, fingers crossed all of your results come back clear and you start to feel better xx

Sweetbabydust1989 · 15/08/2022 09:50

@Redapple21 thanks lovely I feel loads better today had baby monitored yesterday and she was moving so much she kept making the machine go funny 😂 she is definitely reassuring mummy she is all good in there.. it was definitely a shock to be told there could be a clot I am just hoping it's not and it's a combination of serve anxiety and the heat causing the breathlessness.. How are you lovely? Not long now xx

Redapple21 · 15/08/2022 10:55

@Sweetbabydust1989 ahh so glad you're feeling better and your little wriggler is helping to keep you feeling reassured!
Yes I'm ok thank you, just uncomfortable now, my pubic bone is still so sore and like everyone, I have been more swollen in the heat! Thank god it's cooler today. Yes the finish line is in sight now ....eeek! Still 4 weeks to go to my due date xx
