Congratulations @2under2in2022 on the birth of your beautiful girl, fab to hear you both are doing so well. x x

Minster2012 · 11/06/2022 07:28

Congratulations 🥳 @2under2in2022 that's fantastic & she seems to be doing well (as do you!) brilliant news and what an unusual name 🥰

kaylsd · 11/06/2022 08:34

@whatwonder congratulations on the birth of your little girl, hoping your recovery is speedy and you are both doing well 😘✨
@vil10 hope your moving in day went well as can be, your house looks lovely and here’s to many happy years and memories for you all ❤️ it sounds like you may have a busy weekend this weekend getting all the little touches together? 🙈
@dkdk123 I feel your pain there girl with MN I’ve fell out with it since the update happen then I got banned for over a month for nothing 🥺🤣 I hope it shakes its head soon and sorts it out before we end up sending replies via carrier pigeon
@soph0105 I was the exact same when my bestie gave birth 2 month ago I noticed all of a sudden she went quiet for a day or two and I was like sitting brewing at home wondering if she was here n she were 🤣 I was doing random check ins like sending funny videos to pass time just so I could message 🙈
@minster2012 what’s your stance on love island this year, especially Gemma? I’m not keen 🧐 we’ve just purchased black out charcoal curtains for nursery I think they may come in handy ;)
@juno231 it sounds like it’s been one thing after another lately with your house :( you really could do without the extra stress, im sure your OH will try and take as much as it rather than you handling anything extra, I hope it resolves soon but your right with the roof 30cm is a huge difference than the odd 1-2 cm out!
@bellatrixK yess team blue has entered the game! I’m hoping some of our yellows in the pipe line including myself can help even it out too as I’ve got inklings I may be a little boy brewing and everyone else around me is saying the same but only time will tell which is not alot of time left at all :o 🙈
@feliznavidad2 whilst your bouncing on your ball play the baby mama song to get you motivated :) I’m glad you’ve got a plan if things don’t progress naturally darling not long now!
@2under2in2022 congratulations on the birth of your little girl and what a lovely name she has 🥹 glad to hear she’s a strong fighter and doing well so far so good for her early arrival, sending hugs to you all!

I’ve noticed I’ve got my first stretch mark this morning on the side of my hip and I’ve got to the point where I’ve had to take off my wedding ring and engagement ring as the warm weather is making me have shrek fingers without the green 🙈 have a lovely weekend ladies mines consisting off catching up with friends and getting in the garden if the sun stays 🥰

paintfairy · 11/06/2022 08:46

I need to properly catch up and read through. But I just wanted to say......

@whatwonder Congratulations! 🥳 Really pleased for you.
@2under2in2022 Congratulations to you too! 🎉 I'm glad she arrived safely and that element of worry has been removed.

I'm now back from Devon. I'm not sure it was the relaxing time I was hoping for. But it was good to go away. 🤣 Horrendous journey home yesterday. And my legs are broken from walking down a really steep hill (I can't actually walk from calf pain). We won't talk about going back up it....... Obviously I've also come back to a dog that isn't right but I'm not really sure what's wrong with him. 🙈

I'll try and read through properly later.
@InkyPaper you can get your MATb1 from the hospital at your 20 week scan? Just ask at the desk after. I couldn't as mine was done at 19+5 and they won't give it early. I tried. (So got it after my consultant appointment there, 2 weeks later).

BellatrixK · 11/06/2022 09:09

Congratulations @whatwonder how are you and your lovely girl doing?

Congratulations to @2under2in2022 you seem to be doing so well. Bet it’s such a relief.

@Vil10 yay for finally moving in! Now you can get stuck into nesting and decorating! Definitely get help though if it’s needed - pairing woodwork is the worst. We’ve used satin paint for a lot of ours (I’d sheets used gloss until last year). I think it’s easier to use than gloss and I love the look, but it obviously depends on the look you want.

@Soph0105 amazing, amazing news on the house sale. You definitely timed it well!

@Franklydear I’m so sorry to hear about your best friend. We’re here for you, always.

@kaylsd I honestly felt like I knew he (omg, he!) was a boy! Just a really strong feeling. Also, I’ve started to get swollen feet… I’m only 17 weeks, what is this?

@paintfairy sorry that your trip away wasn’t relaxing, and l hope that your dog gets better soon. Is there anyone you can speak to about your pain?

@Juno231 I honestly want to shake your neighbours… what is their problem? Just seems like trouble causing for no reason at all. So awkward when they’ll have to look you in the eye in the future.

@Minster2012 and @feliznavidad2 the holiday was so so lovely before the drama being gone. So nice to be in the sun relaxing. But, the sun, stress and repetitive food did begin to get too much. We’re are so glad to be home. They split my 8 year old niece because she was officially sharing a room with my sister (she wasn’t really, she was in the family room with get parents and sisters), but they just split us according to the rooms. To be honest, we didn’t mind that, it was just that they refused to swap people when we rang that really angered us.

Glad to hear that the babies seem to be doing well. So glad to get back to the bus, I’ve missed it!

InkyPaper · 11/06/2022 09:42

I also need to catch up properly later, buuuut ..Congratulations @2under2in2022 !! 🎉🎉 Such a beautiful name 😊

@paintfairy ah brilliant! I did not know that, thanks 😄👍🏻 hope the calf pain eases off for you!

Minster2012 · 11/06/2022 09:44

We had witching hours from 8-10 last night @Juno231 😂😂but then after "operation blackout" yesterday she slept from 10-3.45! What?! She then had a good mewl from 5-6am but I feel positively refreshed 😝

@bez91 are you able to see a doc for Z's colic? Would things like Gaviscon help?

God my legs are NOT prepared for this weather...where's my razor 🪒 😆

becarefuloutthere · 11/06/2022 10:37

@2under2in2022 congratulations 🎉 glad to hear she's doing well! Hope you both recover well!

DKDK123 · 11/06/2022 11:08

@Juno231 the days her brother isn't here I can grab a nap when she's napping. Her sleeps broken up tho as she wakes herself up being sick due to the reflux even if I've sat her upright for an hour before laying her down. Hopefully once we get something off the docs that'll help her.
The house stress definitely won't be helping with your rhr, in the final weeks mine was hitting 130 just walking upstairs to go to bed 🙈 But it's back to normal now so don't worry about pregnancy making it go high for now. How on earth did the ceiling manage to be 30cm shorter, it's not like it's 3cm that may have gone unnoticed, that's a massive difference to what you had planned! I hope they can sort it out quickly for you!

@bez91 saw your car drives on IG, you're going to need to remortgage the house to pay for the fuel you'll be going through 🙈 Does the pram help at all? Thr pram motion used to be our back up when I was too tired to drive. It didn't work as good as the car but it at least made me feel like I was doing something other than listen to his scream for hours so it helped me even if it didn't help DS. I'd move the furniture in the living room and just pace around in a small square with the pram and headphones playing music to drown out the screaming.

@Minster2012 I wish DS slept till 7am, he's still 5.30/6am rising, quite often DD is just falling back asleep after her 4am feed just as DS is getting up to start his day 😴
I got the koalababycare sling which is great at having my hands free and is really comfy to wear but not so good at the moment with her reflux as it means she is constant sick down my top, sticky spewy boobies 🙈
Amazing news on Bs growth, keep doing what youre doing 😁.

@BellatrixK sorry to hear the ending of your holiday wasn't great but glad you had a good time during the actual holiday. Team blue 💙

@feliznavidad2 glad to hear all went well with the growth scan and a plan is getting put in place, not long to go now and youll be joining us lot in the land of sleep deprivation! 😁
DH def helps out once he's home from work but its not chill time for me, it's a case of one of us takes the kids while the other makes the dinner then after dinner one feeds and baths the baby while the other does DS shower and bedtime routine, there's always something for both of us to be doing, life was definitely much easier first time round, but some people go on to have 3 or 4 children so it must get easier with 2 .......or so I keep telling myself 😂

@2under2in2022 congratulations! So glad to hear she's here safely, and what an amazing weight she is for being so early!

Minster2012 · 11/06/2022 19:40

@DKDK123 ahhh sorry I didn't realise DS is still such an early riser, god kids are tiring aren't they. Sticky spewy boobs doesn't sound good but the sling helping is good. I haven't started carrying B yet as my scar still hurts & she goes to sleep in the pram doing the dog walk which is great as I can then leave her snoozing in the pram & get on with stuff 😂she'll prob then end up hating being carried I bet 🤦🏼‍♀️.

Been absolutely glorious here today but X in a foul mood since about 10am so it's been a day of gritting teeth 🦷 & trying to stay patient 😬

2020mission · 11/06/2022 20:13

Congratulations to @whatwonder and @2under2in2022! Wasn't expecting to see 2 announcements 🎉 @2under2in2022 bit of a shock at just over 33 weeks but definitely sounds like it was for the best and glad you are recovering well

@Minster2012 every time you talk about how annoying X is being I just think I have this to come with Matthew 😅 although given his new noises he's making lately I think he's already turning into trouble!

@Vil10 hope the house organising is going well. Don't stress yourself too much if the nursery isn't ready/perfect on time as honestly they will be in your room so much early on and won't even notice what their nursery is like so you can easily sort out any last bits after baby arrives.

bez91 · 11/06/2022 20:29

@Juno231 definitely not the norm for every baby to scream 6-10pm every single night but if your antenatal class is setting that expectation anything else can only be a bonus I suppose 😂 DD never did for sure although quite a highly strung baby! Good you've found a couple of ladies to do yoga with 😊

@BellatrixK sounds a pain with the holiday and your poor little niece 😫 sounds rough with going straight back to work so glad it was only a couple of days before the weekend for you. Yayyy team blue 💙

@feliznavidad2 ooh have they given you an induction date yet or told you proposed method for induction? I think @becarefuloutthere from memory had a balloon induction which would have been my preference over hormonal option but they don't seem to do them (or so they said) at my hospital. DD loving being a big sister, she adores him but still wants to be with him 24/7 🙈

Congrats @2under2in2022

@DKDK123 pram doesn't seem to work, maybe doesn't vibrate enough 😆 car seems to be the only remedy 🤦🏼‍♀️ a friend of mine recommended cranial osteopath. Suppose it's a bit of one of those like acupuncture and reflexology as to whether is actually helps. He did go through a bit of stress during birth so who knows 🤷‍♀️ I'll dig out the wireless headphones though to help sanity during the episodes, thankyou

becarefuloutthere · 11/06/2022 20:55

@bez91 great memory! I did indeed have the balloon or foleys catheter as it's also known. Would highly recommend! @feliznavidad2
Worked a treat on me and didn't even need removing. Pushed it out myself after about 12hrs of it being in and she was here few hours later 😀

kaylsd · 12/06/2022 06:08

Morning ladies these light mornings make it hard to have a "lay in" saying that I don't think there's such things when little ones are around! I asked DH last night if there's a push present like celebrities does joking around, his response was he was going to buy me a nipple milk sucking machine? 🧐 something tells me he means breast pump 🤣🤣🤣 happy Sunday everybody ❤️

Franklydear · 12/06/2022 09:07

Morning ladies
quick update: feeling all your hugs and boy do I need them, bestie has gone to the hospice now, nothing more to do medically, just staying at bay for the moment, letting the family... how to word it, make their memories, ready to jump in when needed, we’re not going to the hospice, haven’t been asked and neither did we, it’s so hard to know what to do for the best, just following their lead

feliznavidad2 · 12/06/2022 10:12

Ah @Franklydear that's so sad, thinking of your friend, you and her family

@kaylsd hahaha his description sounds terrifying! 😆

@becarefuloutthere good to know, they've suggested prostin pessary for me at the moment (think it's because of the pretty early date still, as in, not being over due) and had a bad experience with propess pessary which fell out of my cervix and made my vagine swell up 🙈 😱 so reluctant to have that again. @bez91 I have a date and time 😬 but have now booked in two stretch and sweeps with community midwife, some reflexology and some acupuncture in the meantime 😂 if none of it works, atleast I can say I tried my damndest...

becarefuloutthere · 12/06/2022 18:38

@kaylsd lol at your Dh!! 😝
@Franklydear so sorry I missed your updates. I'm sorry to hear about your bestie! I hope you're holding up ok. Xx
@feliznavidad2 wowza! Inductions can be quite scary can't they. I had two s&s's too! Well hopefully that, coupled with the homeopathic sessions may well just do it! Does this all kick off next week?

Minster2012 · 12/06/2022 21:33

I had a lie in this morning @kaylsd if you can call it that after B was very unsettled and awake from 2.15am to 6.06am (not crying but whinging every 15/20/30mins so NEARLY dropping to sleep then waking again & whimpering, squirming around etc) obviously on those points she was falling asleep I was too so it was a horrible cycle...so as X then wakes at around 7 DH told me at 6 to go in the spare room & just sleep...I woke up at 9.15!

@bez91 you need a rougher pram, I've often joked when I'm dog walking that I'm worried about the pram bouncing meaning shaken baby syndrome it seems so extreme!! X used to fall asleep straight away, B is s bit more resilient

@feliznavidad2 sorry I missed the induction post! Wow you have an actual date already, and time! Mental!

@Franklydear we've spoken & you know my thoughts are all over you & your family & hers ❤️❤️❤️

@2020mission honestly some of it is really funny (life with X or any child/toddler) but we even said today he was a FANTASTIC easy baby, bloody nightmare toddler & im not sure what's best really 🤔

On the push present thing @kaylsd I've said this before that in my DH's family there's a thing (which apparently is quite widespread) that you get an eternity ring on the birth of your first child, all my SIL's got one so precedent was there...so on a trip away for our anniversary we went to a second hand jewellers & I picked a tiny antique ring only £125 which has tiny rubies in it, which is Xander's birthstone, so I wear that, it was difficult to find something that went with my gold & white gold rings & my engagement ring is yellow diamond. today I noticed one of the rubies has come out. I'm gutted. I did tell DH that Bronte's birthstone is a diamond 💎 but apparently it's only valid for first child 🤔a boob sucker is very practical 😂

Minster's 8th Side Car - Best not let the men see our post-partum bodies eh?!
Minster2012 · 12/06/2022 21:34

@Juno231 did you work out what the birthstone for your LO will be??

Minster2012 · 13/06/2022 07:58

@InkyPaper is it your 20 week scan today? Good luck if so! Wonder if you are team boys or girls

DKDK123 · 13/06/2022 13:48

@kaylsd nipple milk sucking machine, love it! 🤣🤣🤣

@Franklydear so sorry to hear about your friend 😢 such a hard time for you all when you'll be feeling quite helpless, sending you a massive hug.

@feliznavidad2 a date and time, how exciting! Although with that list you definitely can say you'll have tried everything to kick-start things yourself! Don't forget to add sex and nipple stimulation to the list 😉

@Minster2012 I love the tradition of a ring for your 1st, I should have pretended to DH that my family had a tradition of some sort as I got no present, wonder if its too late to claim 2nd child tradition 🤔

Well after nearly 5 weeks of refusing to suckle, little miss E randomly decided last night to refuse the bottle and want to breast feed, suckling properly straight off - she really does do things according to her own agenda, I fear for the stubborn teenage years already 😱 But now I'm going to have to work hard on re-establishing my milk supply as I had been gradually weaning off the pumping so I didnt get mastitis from stopping suddenly and was down to only getting 1/2oz each session so this week was supposed to be the stop completely week, so naturally it's this week she decides she wants to start breast feeding 🙈

paintfairy · 13/06/2022 15:02

Catch up time.......

@BellatrixK wow! Your Egypt saga sounds stressful. Not good about your niece either, thats appalling?! Exciting news that you are having a boy though! Thankfully the leg pain has improved.
@bez91 The colic doesnt sound fun for either of you. And the petrol prices even worse! Maybe bounce over some ploughed fields with the pram instead!? Men are useless - we know this? The EPU/baby situation is ridiculous! A hospital should know better.
@DKDK123 I hope they manage to sort out your issues with reflux soon. That absolutely awful about your neighbour. What the hell is that baby toy head thing? 😂2 hours 36 mins sleep!? WTF! How random on the breastfeeding. But what baby wants, baby must have. 😇
@Lexber Sorry you had a scare with E. That does sound worrying! I hope shes better now.
@larrythelizard i cant believe you are still going to the gym!? The migraines sound horrific though.
@Vil10 i was struggling with constipation a few days last week too. I dont know if it was the iron tablets. Still no joy with the Drs and i'm back seeing the midwife friday anyway. Useless people. I've been getting reflux too some nights, looks normal for this stage. Propping yourself up a bit helps but i struggle to sleep like that. Pleased you are finally in the house! I'm working right up until my due date mat leave wise pretty much. Unless something changes. But i have booked the week off before that as annual leave. My baby was on the right side too like yours, at a similar point! No idea where it is now but i dont think where it should be. 🙄
@Minster2012 coming to a BBQ with a sickness bug? How thoughtful! Pooping after any birth is apparently horrendous from what i've heard. Not great. No shower sounds stressful! Shame about the killers but probably the right decision. Luckily we had pinkish curtains in the nursery room already (good job shes not a boy) and they are blackout ones!
@Soph0105 PTSD seems on form. Feeding himself bottles sounds like it might be useful. Eventually........ 😆Keeping a house tidy to sell is a right PITA! Fab news about the fast offer! Dont text your friend! I'm dreading anyone doing that to me and i'll get angry. 😫Or at least pretend you are messaging for something else!
@kaylsd welcome back! And anal sex (or post anal sex) doesnt hurt if done correctly. Just FYI. 😜Definitely get an electric shaver though. Swollen up doesnt sound good but i'm glad the baby is ok.
@Juno231 OMG. That neighbour is well and truly annoying. I would be done with pleasantries by now. Builders sound equally frustrating! Why do these people just do their own thing?! I think i need to get rocking on my birth ball then! Pretty sure mine is not where it needs to be. Else i wouldnt have feet sticking out the front. Witching hour sounds far longer than an hour and that doesnt sound like something i want to participate in........
@feliznavidad2 only you before me now! I dont want to be at the top, so you had better be waiting a while. 😬Great news on the growth scan. I dont think they do balloon inductions here either.
@Franklydear Really sorry about your friend. How awful for her and her family/friends. So sad.
@becarefuloutthere nice to hear from you. 😊

Felt a bit ropey yesterday and still slightly off today? Random spells of hotness and feeling slightly sick. My stomach was also angry last night and a tap dancing baby didnt help. No idea what she was up to.
Next scan is a week on friday. But my follow up call isnt until 4th July, which seems less than helpful. Sure shes not in the right position either but we shall see. Legs are finally back to normal and i can walk again, always useful!
We went to M&P at the weekend as we were passing, and i browsed at all the cute stuff i cant afford to buy. Why is it so expensive?! DH nearly had a heart attack at the baby monitor prices but £270 did seem excessive, and i'm sure there are cheaper. Still havent got one! Put the snuzpod together yesterday. I'm sure i should be sorting out the hospital bag soon too. And i'm hoping to get some baby washing done this week if it stays dry!

InkyPaper · 13/06/2022 15:58

I know I keep saying this but I'll properly catch up later! Just dropping in to update you:

Baby looked healthy, kicking their feet, arms waving around, currently head down with their feet in my ribcage 😂 buuuuut couldn't have had their bloody legs clamped any tighter together!! So no-go on the gender 🙈 we've already booked a private scan because I am waaaaaay too impatient not to find out 😂

paintfairy · 13/06/2022 17:26

@InkyPaper FFS! I only came on for that! 🤣 I'm impatient too! Awkward baby. When is your gender scan? Glad everything else looked OK though, its nice to get it out of the way.

Franklydear · 13/06/2022 17:55

It is very sad to have to let you know that bestie passed earlier today
