@Juno231 hahaha literally!! How're you feeling with all your house situation?? I'm glad you've said that, I feel like everyone who I've spoken to irl, has been judgey of when I'm finishing work, I'm due the 1st and finishing the 22nd which still gives me 9 days, and I'm only finishing then because that's when the summer holidays start! Like you, I've felt fine and still absolutely fine and enjoying work so haven't felt the need to🤷🏽‍♀️ I may change my mind nearer the time depending on how I feel but can't see me doing! However I do hope you aren't early and start labouring in work😂 would be a good story to tell I suppose!!
Also my OH is deffo getting nervous about the hospital bags😂 he mentioned the other day that our stuff is all packed and boxed up and we need to start thinking about hospital bags, I wasn't planning on packing mine until 35 weeks ish, I still haven't even got majority of the things for myself🤦🏽‍♀️😂

@Vil10 @Juno231 my friend didn't finish for mat leave til the day before her DD (she's an actuary) so was working at home, felt fine, and she was on very much "go slow" mode which wasn't an issue so why not? if you do go into Labour at work that's the most efficient way to use your time for the most leave 😂loving the men getting anxious, literally my DH didn't have a clue

@Juno231 she wanted to ask someone else if I couldn't go, so I've said no unless she can't find anyone else. DH wants me to go, it's not the childcare that's the issue, it's just very far so logistics aren't great then standing (my scar still hurts a bit) when not feeling 100% either

@Minster2012 that's my plan, just be on go slow from July I think! How's little B getting on? And is X still poorly?

32 week midwife appointment went well, baby is back to back though but still plenty of time for him/her to move, and my yoga teacher said getting on all fours and rocking back and forth helps to turn baby, so at least I know that for future reference! And baby has grown and is plotting perfect on the graph after measuring small last time, which I was slightly worrying about! Scary because appointments are now 2 weeks apart and my 36 week one in 4 weeks has been made to a double app to discuss my birth plan, it feels like it's coming round so fast!!

@vil10 oh I didn't realise they'd be able to tell it was back to back just by feeling around. Funnily enough I just watched a positive birth company video about how to make the baby present back to bump and one big thing was sitting on those pregnancy balls as much as possible, along with walking and any upright and forward position.

@Minster2012 yeah I'm thinking just like your friend! I only go into the office twice a week as well so it's easy to be sitting on my arse from home anyway. I see - sounds like telling your friend you're not coming was probably the wise decision!

I thiiiink baby has finally moved into a downwards position now? I definitely felt kicks today up by the left hand side of my rib cage, whereas previously pretty much all movements have been transverse. Apparently 75% of babies are head down by 30 weeks so she's been slow!

@Juno231 neither did I! They said babies bum is just under my ribs but she couldn't feel anything either side of my stomach which suggests baby is back to back! My friend is a midwife too and when I saw her the other week she had a feel and showed my babies spine was round my right side, was rock solid, just shows how much they moved around doesn't it!! My baby was also breech at almost 30 weeks but had turned head down the day after (I had my 4D scan and she told me)

Not catched up, nurse busy this week but I am on her list, possibly next week which would be nice to do day 2 bloods, maybe, cd21 not períody but still early
I have some bad news, bestie is not well and it is not looking good, kids been spoken to about possibilities, so I am on call in case her hubby needs me, he will, I'll be back soon

Going to start love island tonight @kaylsd - DH wants to watch it too and it's the first night this week we've both been home in the evening!

Sounds like you've got a good group @Juno231- bodes well for when you've all had your babies. Where are you in the running order of the group?

You'll surely be unlikely to pass anything on by Sat evening @Minster2012 - for a start it's not like you're a grubby child who doesn't wash their hands properly!

Such exciting house stuff @Vil10! I plan to work as close to D day as possible but I am at a desk and can just get slower and slower as it gets closer so is easy for me to say that. I assume work will want to know at some point but I haven't quite worked it out yet! Sounds a great MW appt today! Are you going to do any antenatal classes? If not I'd do some reading before your birth plan appt so you go in with knowing all your options.

Ahh that's interesting about back to back @Juno231 - I'm having much stronger movements with this one than DS and he was back to back which were some of the issues with his birth (I learned that at the consultant appt the other week). I thought it was that this one was just much bigger or something, relieved to hear that might not be the case as DS was 9lb!

I've had a very exciting day in London using the Elizabeth Line, makes quite a difference to my journey to the office!

Forgot to have my omerzerprole on an empty stomach this morning so am pretty heartburny which is quite annoying (probably not helped that I've also been on the coffee).

@Minster2012 ahh ok that makes sense, they are having a good rummage round in there so it's bound to disturb things! Yes I'm still occasionally on the lactolose 🙈 so glam.

@Vil10 that's frustrating on the estate agents. I found with the solicitors they just played us off against each other and when we met them the day we moved in (it was their parents house) they were the loveliest people and it was clear we'd both been told so many lies about each other suggesting the other party was delaying etc. Sounds fab that you've got lots of help and a plan, definitely be tea lady for the day 😁
On finishing work, makes sense for you to finish same time as term finishes and plus longer off the closer you go! I went off both times at 38 weeks and got to 39+3 and 39+1 so I think it's a nice point because even if you're overdue you're not going to be waiting an age twiddling your thumbs. Fab appointment went well! Not long now, people going up the list seems to be going so fast!

@larrythelizard no biscuits ☹️ but warm cuppa was nice! I think it's bizarre that you only learn these things like in subsequent pregnancies about what went on in your previous labour! It would be nice to know that exactly after the event wouldn't it? This time I had access to my notes online so have been able to read things which gives you recollection of what happened too

Yes was so weird hearing what happened last time, I would have sworn that they only tried forceps in the delivery suite but apparently they had a good go in theatre before opting for C-Section @bez91 - having had the debrief it's no wonder I was in such a state post-birth!

They are the ones you can relate to the most and take the most away from 🙈 I’ve got visions of a women using a fold away step to help poo on the ones DIY tradesmen always seem to carry 🥹 I wonder if the UTI club has reward cards like costa? First one in years and I’m peeing like I’ve got holes in my bladder today because I’m drinking loads more even though I thought I drank enough 🧐 clearly not!
@minster2012 I feel like love island time should be changed to a more earlier time like replace emmerdale or something like that 🤣 I’ve never been a huge fan of soaps anyway! I’m sorry to hear that it sounds like the bug has made it round to you hunny :( keep looking after yourself the best you can, as for killers we watched them I just think less than 2 week ago? They were okay, classics were belters, wasn’t familiar with the new stuff and they came on late which is never a good start 🙈

As DH has suggested the exact same that we should maybe start considering packing and he bought me this cutest lounge set from Asda the other day as he gets discount and it’s a potential coming home outfit for sure, floaty long sleeve soft top with floaty trousers! The end is creeping up slowly but surely 👀
@vil10 don’t suffer with your constipation if you can avoid it darling get in touch with your doctor to get on the good stuff to help you, there’s nothing worse cause it’s been the one thing what’s pretty much stayed with me from the start on n off 🙈 I find the more I do and walk the more my bum feels numb at the end of the day 🙈 I’ve just come back from walking the dog as I write this update and my bum feels so numb sat on the sofa 🤣🙈 let me know how you get on with the shaving if in doubt seek assistance it saves flaps being slashed in the process 🤣☺️ good luck for your moving efforts over the next few days, how exciting that it’s finally here for you both after all this time! All within good time too before the little ones arrival 🥺 as for my mat leave I don’t even feel ready to go off but it was a case of I was going to loose out on 8 weeks holiday pay if not 🤭 how exciting isit that you get to discuss your birth plan at your next appointments? I’ve already been advised to write mine on the app I have to use so it can be talked about and discussed at the next one, when it started going into what pain relief I would accept I was like ahhhh it’s actually real now!

This photo below was so me this morning, was getting weetabix out of the cupboard ready to take to work and the packet fell on the floor and had a over dramatic crumble everywhere all over my kitchen floor. I just shut the cupboard and apologised in advance to DH to clean cause I couldn't get down on my hands and knees to sort it out at 5 this morning without disturbing his sleep🙈🙈🙈

Just checking in. Mad day! House is on the market for operation farm but we had to postpone all our viewings from last week thanks to covid so just had them all back to back this afternoon. Gross. Knackered. Hope someone makes an offer fast because CBA with this for weeks 😂

@larrythelizard definitely makes sense especially if you feel like you can as well! I asked my MW about antenatal classes a few appointments ago and they're all online annoyingly, not part of a zoom call or anything, literally just online to read which is shit, so I don't think I'll bother! I've learnt so much though from pregnancy yoga which I never thought I would and I've been reading up for quite a while about pain relief etc, ideally I just want gas and air but we'll see when it comes to it😂 I've started doing my birth plan on my app so both me and OH know what I want and how ideally I'd like it to go, very aware that can change suddenly and it probably won't go how I want it to at all😂 urgh sorry for heartburn, it's definitely the devil!!

@bez91 we've literally had the same problem!! It's a joke isn't it, we ended up getting the vendors number and dealing with them directly because both the estate agents and solicitors were shit and making out like it was the vendors/us, our vendors are so lovely too!! You're right!! I was going to say I feel like you didn't finish too many days before you had Z! Glad you've had a nice day and managed a hot brew!

@kaylsd oh that's so sweet of your DH!! He definitely must've got the comfy outfit memo!! I really need to start buying stuff for my bag, I haven't got much at all! I need to find some disposable knickers and big knickers too that were decent quality!! Well funny you say that, my constipation seems to have cleared up and I actually went twice before 10am this morning which has been unheard of during this pregnancy😂 a numb bum definitely isn't good, get a hot water bottle on it and get doing some stretches!! Oh definitely you'd be silly to waste 8 weeks!! And what a good 8 weeks it'll be!! Yess I've been filling in the birth plan section on the app, she brought it up with me today and then booked me a double slot for my 36 week appointment so we could discuss it all!

It always seem to go like that @Vil10, we were communicating with the vendors through the EA but the EA was really good & she kept the email trail in from the vendors so she could show us it's not them causing delay it was the solicitors

sorry haven’t caught up properly, will try to read through everything. Had baby in the wee hours on Tuesday - a baby girl! We’re both doing well, just knackered after a 24 hour labour on hardly any sleep. She’s latched on well and has been feeding up a storm ☺️

I was laid in bed last night in my usual broken eagle 🦅 sleeping position & wondering when these aches & pains would go, (in broken eagle I get a sharp pain around my left ovary, what's that about?!) and wondering what exercise I could start to do. I'm still looking rounded & have extra weight on my hips which atm I'm not necessarily trying to hide I don't really care, but I want to get rid of it. But I'm conscious my insides are still healing. Hmmmmm need to look it up

Having started love island last night my mind went elsewhere when you talked about broken eagle @Minster2012! With DS i went to a baby fitness class where he hung out on toys in the middle and we did appropriate post natal exercise - maybe worth looking for something like that? I've also seen a thing on insta called the bump plan and plan to look at that asap afterwards as I think it's suitable even if C section.

It is such fun isn't it @InkyPaper?! So worth it but pregnancy is hard!

There's all sorts of medications that are good too @Vil10 so it's not just gas and air or epidural (I'm sure you know this!). They do sound like shit classes, you can just google it rather than do that!

The EA we have been with for this house purchase was who we sold the last house with and they've been awful, we've made notes of everything they've done through both situations and we're going to write a very lengthy and detailed review! We never ever do reviews especially bad ones but they've been horrendous!! Also pagina🤣🤣

@larrythelizard I have been looking into a few and we had a discussion on pain relief during one of the yoga classes, well at the beginning, but I do think im pretty set on a natural birth, pain relief free, hopefully a water one🤞🏼 the only thing that would change my mind is obviously if it came to the safety of the baby and their arrival or if the pain in my back was too much to take and unbearable but I do have quite a high pain threshold so we'll see! Oh don't worry, hospital bags has only just entered ours too, I think the main reason I started thinking about it was because a few other women I know who are due around the same time as me have their nurseries done and bags packed and I was just stood there looking at all my life in boxes in my mums spare room😂😂

Well todays the day, finally🏡 we've had our mortgage funds text through and should expect a letter in a few days, hoping the solicitor will ring around 12/1 to say the key is available! I had 3hr 25 min sleep last night after waking up for my 3rd wee at 3:30 then not getting back to sleep, but I actually feel okay! Maybe it's the excitement🥳

@Minster2012 I'll be 24 weeks+6 when I next see the midwife, so not too late I guess having heard when others got theirs. It just seems irritating to have work request this form by week 25 at the latest when clearly some trusts hand it out whenever they feel like it 😂 sucks you've still got pains going on, but then I guess they do say it takes at least 6 weeks to heal from a C-section, so maybe not so surprising?

@Vil10 Are your yoga classes online or do you do them in person? I think I'm gonna have to find some online ones, see if it helps with my hips 😂🙈 yaaay!! Glad the funds have come through!
