I'm feeling slightly smug, managed to do school run in morning no dramas then just picked X up, got B ready for napping & she's asleep so it only messes her routine slightly, plus when she napped in the morning I did an hours work & dog walk. It's blatantly gonna go wrong now but I'll celebrate it for the minute

So miss B here hasn't napped this afternoon & is currently snuggled in my shoulder which made cooking interesting but v unsettled, she's been sick a lot today. I think she might have caught our bug 😬😭

@Minster2012 routine? Go you!!! No chance of that here; Z's colic is so bad, literally a switch is flipped come 7pm. Currently sat in Starbucks car park as had to bring him out in the car to calm him down. To add insult to injury hoping to use the drive thru and it closed at 7pm 😭

@bez91 I'd be mad about the drive thru! I have to have routine or I can't function (I'm not saying we manage to stick to it always!) but gives me something to aim for. Colic is awful have you got meds yet even if only Infacol? We had issues from 3am to 5am last night due to trapped wind, I just couldn't get a burp outta her & she then wouldn't settle 😣

@Minster2012 I'm very much like that with routine too. The crying makes it impossible though as taking him upstairs just wakes his sister 🤦🏼‍♀️ we use infacol but he's not particularly very windy. Obvs there is debate about the reasons behind colic so we'll just have to ride it out until it gets better 🥱

@InkyPaper they're in person! You can choose to join in on zoom which is what I did for the first 2 because I'd never done yoga before but once I was comfortable with it I went into the class and i've really enjoyed it!

@Minster2012 oh I'm jealous you had such a good EA, would've been our process so much easier!! Hahahah well it's the same today, 4 hours sleep so getting better slightly🤦🏽‍♀️ I don't know what it is, I was so comfy and tired last night and my back was killing from moving things in, I thought I'd have an amazing sleep but I just couldn't!! Didn't help OH was snoring, which he never does, typical he starts now when I need my sleep the most😂 wooo that's amazing you're like super mum!!

Well we're in🏡🥳 we weren't planning on staying last night but we managed to get everything over in one afternoon so thought well why not! However it's made me realise I've forgotten to buy small things we need daily like bins etc! I'm off work today so it's a day of getting paint samples on the wall so we can order that, and it looks like we're going to have to gloss 😩 which obviously means everywhere you can't start glossing one thing then leave something else can you!! Excited to get started but the whole house needs a re decorate/lick of paint so I might be calling in a decorator for some of it in the end😂

So offer is accepted and the house is once again a filthy squat bomb site 😂 congratulations on your lovely new home @Vil10 but boo for glossing! Can you afford to get someone in to do that horrific job and then just do the easy/nice bits yourself?! We hired a painter to just do the skirtings and bannister etc and it was the best money I've ever spent lol

Well we are starting badly today. Rough night with B awake from 5-7am and was sick on our bed twice. Def think she's got the bug, she's just done the biggest 💩 but it's sunny 😎 she's got her legs out & they don't look like skinny sticks now!

Could really do with the HV not coming g during nap time but hey ho we'll deal with it

@bez91 colic is soul destroying as theres nothing you can do but ride it out. DS had bad colic and we spent many a night driving in the car just wanting to feel like we were doing something. DS still has really bad reflux and screams intently like she's colicky but as bad as it sounds I'd rather the reflux than the colic as at least when she's being sick it feels productive 🙈 Tried to get an appointment with my GP but they've been shut till next week with no explanation why it just says to contact 111 if really need seen but I can't see them doing too much for reflux so we're just riding it out till next week.

@Vil10 how did it feel to stay in your new house? I agree get someone else to do the glossing if you can but you can do the fun bits of decorating and soft furnishings.

Well DD is now officially one month old, where the hell did that month go it seriously feels like I only brought her home a week or two ago.....tho the bags under my eyes say differently. According to my fitbit last nights sleep tally was a whopping 2hours 36minutes 😴 I am being fueled by red bull and malteasers today, screw the post pregnancy diet (that I technically haven't gotten round to starting yet anyways 😂). This is when pregnancy 2nd time round is vastly different from the first as times like today I can't just grab a nap when baby sleeps and as soon as she's out of my arms DS is jumping up on me wanting cuddles and attention so feeling very touched out already today and its only 10am. Roll on 6pm when DH is home from work!

@DKDK123 dear lord, 2h 36 min?! How is she with napping during the day, do you manage to nap alongside her at all? Speaking of fitbit, my RHR is now 90bpm... I blame work and the house renovations on top of being pregnant.

@Vil10 well done on moving everything in! Bins I'm not surprised you forgot, I'm sure there will be more annoying things like that you haven't realised about yet! How come you have to go with gloss btw?

So work has been poo but as of yesterday I am done with my big deadline of the year. Phew! I just wish I could guzzle a whole bottle of wine tonight but alas...
House wise... neighbours have rejected the proposed party wall agreement so we've got the ball rolling on the party wall surveyor they requested. Additionally, the loft conversion beams/shell went up yesterday so we went round at lunch to see it and lo and behold the ceiling is a whopping 30 cm shorter than we planned for and that we confirmed with the foreman just on Wednesday! OH is going to speak to the foreman about it this afternoon as there's no way we're okay with this (and I don't even think it would fulfil build regs) but my god I don't need the added stress!

@DKDK123 wow yes 2hrs 36 mins when in reality it was probably actually less than that! I got up and out of bed about 5 times last night and walked around and it didn't recognise I was awake each time so we're definitely being under-egged! Nap grabbing is hard, on the days that have been really bad I've declared a lazy day and had to catch a quick 10 minute power nap whilst I know DD is also entertained. Ridiculous your doctors is closed with no explanation, hopefully you'll be seen on Monday. They are pretty good here with seeing newborns the same day. It's a real defect in the human body giving birth at 9 months as their little digestive systems are so underdeveloped ☹️

@Juno231 I think witching hour is just that, and hour or so, DD was always unsettled and groggy for an hour in the evening but it's more like 3-4 hours of inconsolability with Z 🤦🏼‍♀️ apparently colic improves by 3/4 months - we've just hit a month 😬
Annoying on the neighbours but at least you have the ball rolling! And 30cm too short? That's quite significant! You've definitely got grounds if they've deviated away from the as built drawings! Take it slow at work now then up until Mat leave!

@DKDK123 no special secret to the getting out on time unfortunately, but it helps that we try keep Bronte asleep til 8 and Xander gets up 7 or before so yesterday I had an hour to get him fed, me fed, dogs fed, both dressed, lunchbox done & bottle made before little miss got up which meant it was 40mins to get her fed & sorted. She also spends quite a bit of time in her sleepyhead or bouncer looking at the black & white bag 😂. Has the sling arrived & is it helping you? I second @Juno231 do you manage a nap during the day when DS isn't there?

@Juno231 they warn you about the witching hour!! Love that! Do NOT love the rejection of the party wall OR reduction in ceiling height. I'm afraid it's prob true what they say that no building work is simple or stress free & im sure we'll find that out too

I’m so sorry I disappeared. We finally got back from Egypt 5 days late after a cancelled flight then a 17 hour delay. They actually split our family in half and we ended up there another day and a half … with my niece who was split up from her mum and dad. Awful! They wouldn’t let us swap either. Got back early hours on Thursday then had to go to work.

I have been reading everything, and I’ll do a massive catch up soon, I promise!

I do, however, have news!! We had a gender scan last night! We’re just done a gender reveal as we’re away with my mum’s side of the family and I’m evening the boy vs girl balance!

@Juno231 it's def better to be prepared!! We didn't have rose tinted glasses at all cos we'd seen all our friends go through it with babies so we were under no illusion it was all fun and games!! But I've had a lovely day with B today (currently sat outside with her napping & me with a g&t & my food before the boys get back) & we've sorted the witching hour out so that's ok (there's still work to do on overnight & not settling if I can't get a burp out but anyway!). Btw who pays for the added time/material from a mistake like that?? 30cm is a whole head height & my DH would be screwed 😂

Any tips on burping/winding appreciated. We do the "stir the pot" which is pretty hardcore & "wonky winding" but still sometimes no use 😬

In case anyone isn't on Insta we had HV today for 6/8 week checks & little miss B isn't so little now...she's 9lb 13! Last weigh in was 26th may & was 8lb 😳 I told the HV that here we only get a phone call for 6 weeks post partum check & showed her my stitch hanging out & she told me to push for a face to face so I need to be on that

Also for those doing nurseries, all I'll say is BLACKOUT BLACKOUT BLACKOUT 😂😂😂

@BellatrixK A BOYYYYYYY!!! Yeyyy I was just thinking earlier we have so many girls here as I didn't realise @feliznavidad2 was a girl too until the nursery pic today. Congrats 🎉 but that's awful on the holiday/flights/your neice, how can they do that???

Apologies for being AWOL. Yesterday Canada-Rose Ottilie arrived at 33+6 weighing 6lb 2oz at 1642. 💖

Following weeks of endless CTG's and a VMAX level of 1.5 indicating fetal anaemia they decided to bring her healthy rather than waiting for her to get poorly like my son.

I can’t sleep so have been down for a visit and now out vaping. She’s doing well. She’s on BPAP because her gas exchange was bad but her last test was the upper end of normal 😀 They’re keeping her on BPAP so she can rest and gain strength but she’s doing amazingly!

I'm up and about already less than 12 hours post surgery too so 🤞🏼 for a smooth recovery.
