Yay I can finally comment! What the heck has happened to MN! God damn modern technology I couldn't comment on the old thread I couldn't log in I couldn't load the app 🤣🤣🤣 so I've been stalking it ready for the new bus in time praying it'll work again and luckily it has :')

Hope everyone's well ladies ❤️❤️

2020mission · 22/04/2022 10:40

Thanks for the new thread! The app is still full of bugs so had to post via the web again. Bloody web developers eh 😆 get it sorted

bez91 · 22/04/2022 11:01

Thanks @larrythelizard 😁 also with you on the weather. I've sent DD to nursery without tights, hope she's not freezing 🙈 I think there may be spares in her bag!

We have no boys on our bump list now - bonkers!

Minster2012 · 22/04/2022 11:11

@paintfairy what did I miss about the tradespeople?? Have you got the wardrobe drawers sorted? Btw MAFSA loving it! Come on the drama!

@bez91 I get the all squished up too, kicking in ribs is not fun 😂

I don't think it's cos you've not done enough @larrythelizard! I think you've done plenty

Yes 25% @BellatrixK that's amazing!!! And sounds like you've got some lovely self care going on there which is great! I've also been ghosted by a windows guy for weeks now which is very frustrating

Where are these new emojis?! I feel like my MN still not working properly grrrrrr

Today I am chilling out, doing very little after basically being unable to move when I got back yesterday. The big dog is badly limping so she's on crate rest so I need to do less walking as the cockapoo is very chilled (he's 9 next week!).

Mum and dad brought over the last bits of baby stuff from their house so Moses basket to prepare, sleeping hammock to sort too when DH has carried it upstairs, toys & steriliser to put away & we are sorted
Midwife this afternoon wondering if she'll mention a birth plan

@2020mission yes get him registered! MIL had to take DS to dentist on Tuesday when I had my appointment & I was so proud of him. I've got a hygienist app the week before section 😬

@larrythelizard I got these ones from the outlet then got 3 vests from M&S to go with which I think dresses them up enough for day lounging or if ppl are coming over? With a longline cardi over maybe? I want a yellow vest but they didn't have any.

Oh MN not posting this. Def hates me

paintfairy · 22/04/2022 12:21

Jesus MN is hard work. The android app has always been terrible (unless anyone can tell me how to reply and be able to refer back to the actual posts) and the web version on my phone is now difficult. 1002 posts on the old thread. what?!

@Minster2012 of course the joiner has not been back or even replied to me since my thumbs up. 🙄The drawers are still sat in my hall. MAFSA - i've watched the first commitment ceremony but i'm not fully up to date. I've been enjoying the drama though and i'll be sad when it ends. 😂I think you definitely need to rest!
@BellatrixK red pandas? Wow. And thumbs up, yeah, might as well have been 2 fingers. 🤔DH is slowly improving.
@larrythelizard i need to go to the dentist actually before they chuck me off the list. And i'm sure no nhs ones round here are taking on people any more so i'm not sure how it works with a baby?! @2020mission

Interestingly 3 out of the 5 of us at my antenatal class have had IVF? Slightly worrying for the future, i must admit. But only 2 know what they are having and they are boys. So the girl only theme just appears to be here?!

Franklydear · 22/04/2022 12:25

Found you ladies
@BellatrixK insta I.knitted.this, thank you, I just wanted to have a bit of fun with it

Franklydear · 22/04/2022 12:40

Triggering, you might want to skip

i told you to skip it

ok, but it’s triggering

I was talking to my sister in law yesterday, with my nephew who just turned 1, her sister lost a baby at 6 months right after the birth of this one, and I was thinking, if my baby had been, they would have been 3 cousins born within half a year, quite the little gang

bez91 · 22/04/2022 14:07

Just the girly theme here then @paintfairy surely all the yellows have to be boys to balance things out

For the past 2 days I've had a 20 min power nap whilst on my lunch break 🙈 that's acceptable right? 1 more week working to go

kaylsd · 22/04/2022 14:57

I’m glad it’s just not me then who’s having MN troubles with the sounds of things 🤣🤣🤣

@bez91 I’m hoping some of my fellow yellow team have some brewing little ones for the boy gang inside
@minster2012 I’m up to the episode with the first half of the couples doing the renew vows every time I watch it and see Olivia I get more and more frustrated with her behaviour because it’s such a stroppy child life and the mimics she does just makes me want to hit the TV 😂 I hope your midwife appointment is useful this afternoon those CD trousers look super comfy!
@paintfairy it’s more common than what I originally thought with infertility since we’ve been on that path, I do think long term contraception maybe a standing factor for some couples (although me and DH have both male and female infertility diagnosis without pill being a factor) but it's nice that you’ve got people relatable for the same paths you’ve all come to for your little ones in your classes 🥹❤️

MN isn’t loading for me at all, I can’t see any of the old thread or half of this one loading 😞 just treated mum to lunch for a belted birthday since I missed it with covid 🙈 hope everyone’s okay ❤️

DKDK123 · 22/04/2022 15:40

Eek my name is at the top of the list, I've hit the I'm not ready yet stage 🙈 @bez91 maybe yours just wants to pop out early, I don't mind waiting to be 2nd in line now 😂

I gave in with MN when it all went glitchy, seems to be a tad better now but still not right. I did see a post from them tho saying they're away of all the glitches and working their way through sorting them so hopefully it will be back to normal soon.

I cant remember who mentioned Bridgerton but I've been laid up in bed the past two days will a really bad cold (I know bad cold sounds pathetic but I've been feeling so awful I've taken a tonne of lateral flows convinced it must be covid but nope I'm just being a wuss over a bad cold 😂). Anyways started watching Bridgerton to pass the time and I'm totally hooked so thanks to whoever recommended it!

kaylsd · 22/04/2022 15:49

@DKDK123 bridgerton is the dogs! Love abit of the duke, missed him in the second series though! Hope you feel better soon :) xx

Minster2012 · 22/04/2022 16:26

FFS it didbt post the pic earlier, they are in hospital bag now @larrythelizard it won't let me put a post with a pic on it

Get it sorted MN

Oh my god no boys on here! There will be popping out with the yellows!

I find it very interesting about the ivfs ratio @paintfairy do we think it's because ppl might be leaving it later?

@DKDK123 yes we could all be very close with @bez91, the midwife saw me just now & was like you need to be pushing to get pain relief (GP) and an earlier section date as she was like you are not in a good way. Don't know if they'll listen mind you.

@kaylsd god yes it's the eye rolling & mimicking I want to punch her too don't worry. She's just a child like you say

@paintfairy ahhhhh yes of course you just have the drawers there & no communication. Course! We'll find some drama elsewhere don't worry

Ive just started watching the Yorkshire midwives & lots of them born around 37/38 weeks as well as on our may Facebook group so feeling pretty real now

Minster2012 · 22/04/2022 16:28

And @Franklydear that's really really sad 😞 we have a "team" of cousins here, there's 2 within 6/7 months of X all boys (so far) and they are very close which is great

Minster2012 · 22/04/2022 16:58

Oh and I totally forgot about birth plan stuff at midwives. I'll just write some bits down

Did get 3 more colostrum syringes though

bez91 · 22/04/2022 17:20

@kaylsd your lunch looked lovely 😋 hope you had a good time!

@DKDK123 argggh I know right, I quite like being second on the list 😆 my plan is I'm 37 weeks tomorrow so from Monday will start getting the eviction process started, my dad is away this weekend so wouldn't be ideal without childcare at this stage! Is it Monday you'll find out about when baby will be coming?

@Minster2012 an earlier section date would seem wise, when are you seeing them next? I watched one episode of that Yorkshire midwives - must find the rest of them! I'm finding the colostrum harvesting frustrating, 3 days and little bits but nothing syringe worthy. Will keep trying, I know it can take time I'm just impatient. Tried the bath last night, got nothing at all compared to when I've tried a hot water bottle 🤦🏼‍♀️

larrythelizard · 22/04/2022 17:25

I gave up and went to a private one @paintfairy - they see U18's as NHS though so can take DS and not pay for it.

Sounds like your midwife has the right idea @Minster2012 - any news on sciatica treatment? I like the waistband on those leggings but I'm not sure about the rest of them, you're much better at colour than me!

I reckon I'm cooking another boy @paintfairy @kaylsd just to even us up!

I often think of the baby I had a MMC with @Franklydear I think it's natural to keep them in your thoughts.

Hope you feel better soon @DKDK123 and yes another Bridgerton fan here!

Lunchtime naps are the answer @bez91 - mad that you're so nearly there!

We're heading north for the weekend but the M42 is super slow which is boring. I would have been driving but DH was a patronising git and wouldn't let me. Knob. Although actually it's better now as I can amuse myself!

OP posts:
paintfairy · 22/04/2022 18:07

I don't like the fact my own posts are now in green and not pink! Sort it out MN!

@Minster2012 @kaylsd Olivia is horrible. I want to smack the tv also, how she sits there smirking all the time. I've noticed she never actually genuinely smiles really either, just pulls a face. I wanted Jackson to tell her to do one because she's an evil cow. I can't see it lasting though.
@larrythelizard interesting about under 18s. Maybe some of ours do the same- hopefully! NHS is going down the pan. DH isn't even registered with one. 🙄
@bez91 interestingly I just went to the hairdressers. She asked and then said the last 4 born she's known are girls and where are the boys. 🤣
@DKDK123 any cold is bad when pregnant. Because you can't take anything! Its rubbish. So don't apologise!
@Minster2012 @bez91 we watched the first Yorkshire midwifes last night. I made DH watch it. Who then (despite me telling him) had the realisation the baby could come early and we won't be ready or have a car. 🤦‍♀️🤣 Yes dear. On the whole it was quite pleasant but that woman with 400 kids and no bloke did annoy me. And I'm not sure about the IVF - maybe it is because people are leaving it later but it does seem a bit odd. And many aren't as old as me (I admit i am). 🤷‍♀️

I've got my hands resting on my belly whilst typing on my phone. I just got booted. 🤭🤭🤭

Franklydear · 22/04/2022 18:48

Hey ladies, @Minster2012 yes, I still enjoy looking after my nephew but sil’s sister can’t bring herself to pick him up yet, but I don’t see him everyday, I do admit I’ve been a lot more tearful though
I don’t like the new mn either, but at least it works again
back home tomorrow and back to reality, still having cramps and a bit of spotting, if this af had been in uk and a week later I would have been very pleased with it #neverhappy

kaylsd · 22/04/2022 19:01

@minster2012 I love seeing all the may baby’s due to arrive I cannot wait to hear everyone’s stories and pictures 🥺 is the Yorkshire midwife good? I watched a episode of one born every minute on demand one of the first episodes and it was a young couple in Leeds and he was so funny all he could focus on was the fact he was hungry and wasn’t going to be fed for a while 🤣🙈
@bez91 had a lovely time thank you! Always nice to have a food baby on top of a mini baby inside it makes me chuckle how the bump develops throughout the day the more I eat 🤣🙈
@larrythelizard I also have a inkling that I may be team blue so you never know!
@paintfairy @minster2012 do you think Jackson will ever stand up for her shitty childish remarks and behaviour? It’s when she was pushing Dom’s buttons on a purpose saying what are you gonna do, I wish Dom flipped table at her 🤣🤣🤣

Selling sunset season 5 is on Netflix and is a easy watch if anyone likes reality tv shows what’s got abit of cheesy girl drama in it whilst selling mansions in America and shows all the insides 😍

Minster2012 · 22/04/2022 19:13

Hmmmmm my posts are in pink @paintfairy how bizarre! Yes the lady (well 2 ladies cos of her best mate/cousin) with a distinct lack of man but I'm not sure if they said specifically if no one was on the scene? Maybe they didn't want to be filmed! But you have no car??? What??

@larrythelizard & @bez91 I don't know how I can push my date forward though as she said I can only stress how unbearable it is at the clinic appointment & next one is 10th may so that would "only" be 6 days before & would they have slots that close?? I've phoned the GP for pain relief she suggested. My DH HATES not driving (unless I'm picking him up after drinking) so always drives where you heading? You know me I love a bit of colour

@bez91 I feel the same on the magic 37 weeks. My mind is like "just get through next week" god I'm going to get so annoyed with the colostrum I can tell

The sciatic pain is awful, I can't sit on the loo without literally jumping up which errrrr really stops your flow. It's now affecting my knee on the same leg (which is my damaged one) & sending pain through that & hip/groin pain so I'm with you on the pelvic girdle pain @larrythelizard was it?

@DKDK123 anything "extra" is just debilitating so sending love & rest up

Franklydear · 22/04/2022 20:02

@Minster2012 mn is all green for me, who did you bribe?

Minster2012 · 22/04/2022 20:23

@Franklydear yeah it's totally understandable with SIL can't imagine how hard it would be. Sorry about AF, never wanted here. I changed the colour on MN settings years ago 😂probs like 2020 but the MN gods don't want me posting pics

@kaylsd I think any midwifery programme is good 😂I think Jackson will flip at some point when she tells him to not go to the gym 🤔or see his mates. Which she blatantly is going to. Is that a new selling sunset??? Ooooooo

DKDK123 · 22/04/2022 20:35

@Minster2012 I hope they listen to you with getting access to better pain relief and a possible earlier eviction date. Tho I wouldnt get my hopes up on the latter, my friend was on crutches just to get around the house and a wheelchair for outside her PGP was so bad and they still wouldn't bring her date forward. The way they saw it was its 'only' temporary pain for the mother its not actually going to kill her but keeping baby in as long as possible was best for baby so she had to suck it up and suffer. This was a good couple of years ago now mind you and they're more into mothers mental health now so they may be more sympathetic to your pain and bring your date forward if you emphasise how miserable its making you feel and you're finding it harder to bond with baby inside as a result.
I cant wait for the pain to be over with too I'm like a yo-yo alternating between standing and sitting every 10mins as any longer in each position is sore, but at the same time I'm desperately holding out for the 10th so I can be awake with this 'good team' they've got lined up, just need to cross my fingers babys going to play ball too and they dont bring it forward on Monday🤞

@bez91 yea should find out on Monday what the consultant wants to do with regards to baby's high heart rate. Hoping they stick to the plan of 37 weeks so there's less chance of a NICU stay 🤞
Frustrating on the harvesting but promising that at least a few drops are starting to come out, you might just need the hormones to kick start it properly. I genuinely used to think it was just like milking a cow and the harder you tugged the more would come out 😂 I didnt realise it wasn't as easy as that and just how important the hormonal factors/baby cues came into play to getting the milk going.....and was also shocked when I first saw it doesn't just spurt out of one hole in the middle like I thought it would but at the start was almost like little beads from all around the nipple. At least I won't be as shocked this time round and hopefully I'll have more success 😂

@larrythelizard enjoy your weekend away, make the most of DH driving to get some naps in. I can barely drive now, I only take DS to nursery and back which isn't far away as I've got to move the seat so far back to fit in my bump that my toes are just touching the peddles and no more. I actually noticed the other day that I have a bruise on my bump from where the steering wheel is rubbing 🙈 6 more nursery trips to do then I'll be hanging up my driving hat.

@paintfairy I think watching things like that are good for the men folk as I don't think they register what we say a lot of the time or think we're over reacting/looking at worse case scenario when we know things like babies coming early are actually a common occurrence.

@Franklydear big hugs for the tearful days 💕 Safe journey home tomorrow

Just saw FIL tonight who took one look at me and went 'Jesus you haven't half dropped, that baby is definitely not waiting till the 10th, I predict she'll be here by next week!" 🙉 So I'm currently lying down having words with her telling her she's to stay put, only 18 days to go if she can resit coming early I'll buy her a toy for being good 😂

larrythelizard · 22/04/2022 23:34

Aww that's cute you're getting booted @paintfairy!!

Its the lack of bolding on the names that I dislike the most on the new MN!

Hugs @Franklydear it's so hard

I got fed up on selling sunset when it was more about the made up drama than the mansions @kaylsd

That does sound horrendous @Minster2012 ☹️. I only get random pains when I roll over at night and also when I'm walking fast it feels like a stitch in the side of my bump.

She's bound to listen to that @DKDK123! 37 weeks is so close now 🤞🏼. Bump on the steering wheel sounds sore!

We're in the Peak District as it's sort of the mid point for us all, although a couple of the girls missing for various reasons. DS had a 40 min nap at 6pm in the car so obv didn't go to bed until 9...I hope he sleeps in tomorrow otherwise he's going to be tired and really hard work! We were taking bets tonight on which bossy toddler is going to win out and be in charge...!

OP posts:
Minster2012 · 23/04/2022 08:12

I really dislike the lack of bold names too @larrythelizard 🙄

@DKDK123 yeah I don't actually think they'll bring it forwards. My concern (massively) is that it doesn't go away. I know a few ppl who had SPD /PGP who still have it permanently now which I'm petrified about. One of my friends commented last weekend that I was so good last time they saw me so what happened 😫

Random one for all the ladies with no baby names. I'm reading a magazine & they say "their daughter Haroldine married..." and there's a chap called Vaughan. Just in case you need inspiration there's some for free, Haroldine & Vaughan. I like Vaughan 🤪
