@HaresHoping I had a really horrible time at the start with HG so the sickness stole most of my pregnancy so far, but I'm getting better slowly each day (fingers crossed!)

now I just wake up every 3 hours.. which is hard to adjust when I used to sleep peacefully 8/9 hours a night. 😂 how has your pregnancy been so far? 🥰

@Poppypip1 feels like I'm the only one in my city pregnant atm haha, it's comforting knowing you have people going through the same stuff. 🥰

Redapple21 · 06/04/2022 06:57

Thanks ladies. I did have a loop excision following some abnormal cells around 5 years ago. The midwife at my booking appointment didn't seem concerned but I will ask about this again today.

HaresHoping · 06/04/2022 08:03

Grrrr @Poppypip1 how frustrating! I think you've earned a breakfast in bed at the weekend for that behaviour... 😴

@veryberrie oh bless you, sickness can be so horribly debilitating. Are you feeling better now? I have been very lucky with physical symptoms, not so much the mental ones. We only found out a week ago today (currently 18+1) that our baby has not inherited a genetic condition I'm a carrier of, it was a 50/50 chance and we wouldn't have continued if that had been the case. So I understand how you feel about the pregnancy being robbed up until now 😔 it's been hard but trying to switch my mindset now to start feeling excited and planning! I have so much to learn 😳😂 xx

annlee3817 · 06/04/2022 08:14

Welcome @veryberrie :)

Tinadecember · 06/04/2022 08:21

hi ladies! don't get to catch up or post on here as much as I would like to but just had a read through the last 10 pages or so.

@IzzyLeigh echoing what the rest of the ladies have said and sending condolences on the loss of your fur baby. Pets truly leave a mark on your heart, I hope you start to heal with time and send hugs :(

I am 17 weeks today, been feeling movement for around 10 days and they are becoming stronger with each day that passes. Still can't feel them on the outside yet though I am hopeful in the next week or so I will be able to so my daughter can feel her brother or sister!

We are booking a private gender scan in 2 weeks time, I haven't received my NHS 20 week scan date yet but am I right in thinking that you can't buy cannons/balloons at a NHS hospital and you have to do this privately?

stimpyyouidiot · 06/04/2022 09:01

@HaresHoping that's brilliant news!

SoOverThisCrap · 06/04/2022 10:44

Morning everyone! After much thought I've cancelled my private scan for Sunday. I'm instead seeing the midwife at just over 18 weeks and going to listen to the heartbeat instead as she advised.
I start weaning off Cyclogest tomorrow and I think a lot of my anxiety stems from coming off it but I can't really justify the expense of a scan if I'm being offered an additional midwife appointment.

I did pay a non refundable deposit for the private scan, which I can use against any future bookings so I may use it for a scan at 24 weeks, especially as of 28 weeks I'll be having scans at the hospital every 3 weeks.

I'm feeling quite a lot of flutters and bubbling movements at the moment which is weird but nice. I can't feel anything when I put my hand on my tummy yet but I'll only be 16 weeks tomorrow.

I hope everyone is doing ok?

Peauela · 06/04/2022 11:09

Hi all!

Hope everyone is well.

I have a question about your bumps! Do you have a bump yet? How far along are you? Photos welcome!

I'm 16 weeks today and I only have small little bump if I lay flat on my back 🤓 having said that I'm overweight so may not notice a bump this early.

LittlemissMama67 · 06/04/2022 12:14

Hi jumping on here late, due September 23rd and find out the sex in 3 days eek! anybody know what they are having yet?

Tinadecember · 06/04/2022 12:29

@Peauela I have noticed that my bump has grown considerably quicker with this pregnancy than my first, though I believe that is normally the case with your second baby.

Here is my 16 week bump taken last week..

Due September 2022 (Thread 5!)
stimpyyouidiot · 06/04/2022 12:50

I'm on my second and I just look fat!

SoOverThisCrap · 06/04/2022 12:59

I'm 16 weeks tomorrow 😊

Poppypip1 · 06/04/2022 13:06

@Peauela
I'm overweight and I feel like I'm getting wider but not a noticeable bump, at the end of the day I look more bump like. This is my second, and I'll be 17 weeks on Friday x

@LittlemissMama67 oooh exciting, me too! I find out on Saturday 😁😁😁 x

IzzyLeigh · 06/04/2022 13:56

@ShiningStarz good luck today! And that’s some good advice about the juice and the lie down. Also sounds relaxing regardless! I know I won’t be able to feel anything for quite some time (15+4 today and an anterior placenta), but I might try your tips anyway every few days from here on out. Can’t hurt!

@annlee3817 that’s a good idea to keep a journal. Maybe I’ll start doing that now!

@GlitteryGreen @EverydayIsPJday @Redapple21 @Belle2210 @Tinadecember thank you so much for the kind words, ladies. We’ve been adjusting a little but it’s still hard and I expect it always will be. Just taking it day by day and trying to keep ourselves and our other dog busy. We’re looking to buy our first house right now so that’s been a good distraction for sure.

Welcome @veryberrie and @LittlemissMama67! In response to your question Littlemiss, I’m having a girl Smile

And such lovely bump pictures everyone! I’m so jealous as I really don’t have much of one yet; I’m further behind a bunch of you (15+4 today) and it’s my first. It is something though, even though it might be very very small compared to the proper bumps I’ve been seeing on here! It tends to fluctuate a lot throughout the day (gets super big after I eat, but I know that's just bloating). This pic is before I've eaten anything yet, so this is my currently baseline and I can really feel the difference when I'm lying flat on my back—definitely my uterus and not just bloating.
I’m hoping my bump shows up more apparent soon as I'm really starting to worry that she's stopped growing or something! I know, I know—everyone grows differently and develops at different times ... but still! Apparently I can't help but worry whenever I get the chance!
I’m pretty short (5’2) and have a relatively short torso, so fingers crossed I start looking a little more like the part soon haha
Oh and I have begun to experience some round ligament pain when laughing and sneezing, so that's encouraging maybe!

In other news, my bbhugme comes today and I'm sooooo excited! I'll let you guys know if it lives up to the hype!

@IzzyLeigh I'm also 5ft 2ins and I have a small frame. I didn't show with my DD for months, but with this pregnancy I started showing at just over 13 weeks 😱

IzzyLeigh · 06/04/2022 14:19

@SoOverThisCrap oh good! that gives me some hope. Do you remember how many months/weeks it was until you started properly showing with DD? I'm getting so impatient!

OP posts:
SoOverThisCrap · 06/04/2022 14:21

@IzzyLeigh with my DD I didn't start showing until I was at least 5 months!

GlitteryGreen · 06/04/2022 14:29

Oh wow, these bumps!! Amazing :)

I am 17 weeks 2 days and don't have much of anything at all honestly. My boobs are bigger and nips and areolas definitely darker, but nothing much belly-wise. I think I am probably marginally bigger but it's not really noticeably different from how I normally look, but I am a size 14 so maybe that's why nothing much is showing yet Confused.

I'm quite glad to be able to keep it under wraps as not everyone knows yet, but equally does make me wonder as I'm only 5'5 so thought it might have been showing more by now.

annlee3817 · 06/04/2022 14:38

Here you go, I'm 5ft 1, so not all that surprised by my bump, 19+1 :)

Omg I looooove all the bumps!!! 😍 honestly I can't wait for mine to pop! I know small bumps have their perks as well but I don't even feel pregnant now, especially with very little symptoms. Can't wait to show it off 😂

Peauela · 06/04/2022 15:29

@SoOverThisCrap well, technically 5 months begins at 18 weeks so not that far off 😂

Tinadecember · 06/04/2022 15:33

eeeek loving all of these bump pics and insane how every bump is different!

@IzzyLeigh your natural frame looks tiny, and that along with it being your first baby will likely mean you will show at a slower rate but there's a definite bump there!!

@annlee3817

annlee3817 · 06/04/2022 16:10

@Tinadecember yours is also lovely, so neat

@IzzyLeigh you're like I was last time 😍

@sooverthiscrap also lovely and neat, how are you getting on with the pillow?

ShiningStarz · 06/04/2022 16:11

@stimpyyouidiot I must book my whooping cough vaccine in to!

Iv got a scan tonight, I'll be almost 18 weeks. Just need the reassurance and couldn't wait to 20 week scan!! Keep patting my belly!!

Can't wait for us all to get past the 20 week scans!!

ShiningStarz · 06/04/2022 16:13

Awww it's so lovely seeing everyone's bumps!!! Mine has definitely progressed to much quicker than in first pregnancy. Gunna be huge by the end !!!!
