@Peauela bless you the thirst is horrid isn't it! I'll keep everything crossed for your Gtt.

@petitlapin1 so pleased everything is ok, hope you recover quickly from the uti!

@stimpyyouidiot bless you, it's such a nerve wracking time isn't it. I don't have a bump either if it makes you feel any better. The fact that you have had no pain or bleeding is fab news so I'm sure everything is absolutely fine in there. Hopefully you will start to feel a little bit of movement soon but it's completely normal that you haven't yet. Hopefully time will zoom by until your 20 week scan. Sending a big hug x

Poppypip1 · 03/04/2022 16:58

@TotoAnnihiliation

I can't remember who it was up thread who suggested a fitness club - but I think it's a brilliant idea. I think there are quite a few of us who want to get motivated and could do with some companionship.
It was me :) I so need the support! Would we do it in this thread or do you want to start a separate fitness in pregnancy motivation/support/accountability thread? x
annlee3817 · 03/04/2022 17:00

@petitlapin1 glad all is ok and you got a quick scan too.

I've got my anomaly scan on the 12th, was worried with having covid, but can feel her quite a bit now, she pushed up high last night and there was a long lump on my side, hard to explain, as soon as I stroked it it disappeared. Remember the same with DD at this point

Carebear99 · 03/04/2022 17:35

@stimpyyouidiot I feel totally the same. I'm 17+2 but my 20 week scan isn't until I'm 20+5, on 27 April.

I don't have a bump I don't think, but I'm overweight so I can't tell. I think my belly sticks out more but I may just be bloated or getting fatter. I haven't felt any movement yet, and I'm worried too. I know I shouldn't but I have a fetal doppler and I check the baby's heartbeat regularly. Midwife said it is OK to have it but once I start feeling movement rely on that.

BlueSky57 · 03/04/2022 18:31

Thank you everyone Smile The scan went really well, baby had a really strong heart beat we got a recording of & we also found out we’re having a girl! I am exactly 16 weeks today so wasn’t sure it would be obvious but it was very clear there was nothing between baby’s legs at all Shock They also gave us a 4D sneak peek & it was amazingly clear. She is very active & even waved at us Grin

@Poppypip1 shall we start on here? Then if more of us want to join in, we can start a separate thread?

@BlueSky57 - gorgeous clear photos! Congratulations 🥳

SoOverThisCrap · 03/04/2022 18:45

Ahh that's fantastic news @BlueSky57 and lovely photos 😊

mol2mum · 03/04/2022 18:46

@BlueSky57 ahh congratulations, that's great news and how relieving you know baby is growing as she should! I'm having a girl tooGrin seems to be loads of baby girls on this thread

Poppypip1 · 03/04/2022 19:07

@BlueSky57 congratulations on your baby girl! Awwww lovely scan pictures. Bet you feel on cloud 9'after finding out everything looks good and seeing a nice strong heartbeat. Only 4 weeks until you see her again at your 20 week scan :)

I've got a private scan booked for Saturday I will be 17 weeks and 1 day, we're hoping to find out babies sex too. I wanted a surprise originally as I had a surprise with my first but my partner is so excited and has said from the start he really really wants to find out. I figured I'm the one feeling the kicks and getting the special moments so would be nice to let him have his way on this one.
Your post has made me so excited, I think we may get a 4D sneak peek too x

BlueSky57 · 03/04/2022 19:21

Thank you everyone! Flowers I feel so much better now & my 20 week scan is April 29th so not too long to wait Smile

My due date is September 18th, does anyone else share this date?

@TotoAnnihiliation sounds good to me :)
Yesterday I went on a stroll around a lake maybe a lit 5k was lovely but not particularly strenuous although everything feels quite strenuous for me at the moment 🤣
Today we've been really busy decluttering and doing tip runs so haven't done any structured exercise but feel I've been busy.
However not sure that's enough, I'm back in work tomorrow and find it hard to fit any exercise in when working. Im office based and sit at a desk all day basically, but I will try and for a walk in on my lunch.
Ideally I'd like to start more structured exercise like strength workouts, maybe a light jog and some yoga.

How's everyone else getting on?

ShiningStarz · 03/04/2022 19:35

@petitlapin1 so glad all is ok and they gave you the scan and everything for reassurance. Did you have any sign of the UTI like stingy pee? My stomach has settled. I know I just ate too much last night and then lay down! Will not be doing that tonight!!!

annlee3817 · 03/04/2022 19:38

Ah congratulations @BlueSky57

Carebear99 · 03/04/2022 19:38

@shiningStarz it is horrible when you feel like that. I can't eat big meals now either but I'm a grazer, if I do have a big meal I end up with a really bad stomach. The pregnancy pillow helps when my tummy feels like that

madeleine85 · 03/04/2022 20:21

Just catching up :)

@petitlapin1 Sorry about the UTI, but also i'm very glad you got it checked out. Definitely the right move.

@stimpyyouidiot I was feeling like you recently. Yesterday I was very crampy though, but today woke up and there is a BUMP. Before it was a burrito belly, now there is no hiding it now. 19 weeks on Tuesday and 2nd child, so guess it was just time till it really popped out. I had one day of feeling kicks at 16 weeks and nothing since. My doctor said we likely have the anterior placenta or whatever blocks it. I'll know for sure in 2 weeks at the 20 week scan, but it is unnerving. At the 16 week cervical check I could see his bum in the picture and he did a big movement, and I couldn't feel a thing, so I think I'm just really bad at feeling movements (I was like this last time too). I do feel like things are moving up though. Last night I didn't eat much and was so full, also need to pee every 5 mins today. Guessing that things are getting compressed now.

@SoOverThisCrap personally, i'd want the scan, and if you do, I hope you get it. It is a extra money, but for a lot of reassurance, and hopefully your OH can support your needs in that aspect if you can afford it. I think as they don't feel what we do, they don't understand, so it can be tricky.

@BlueSky57 congratulations on the girl! Lovely scan!

petitlapin1 · 03/04/2022 20:37

@ShiningStarz nope, nothing. Bit more tired than usual but I've no idea what's normal for fatigue nowadays! No appetite for 24 hours and sickness is back today- but don't know if that's UTI or antibiotics or normal pregnancy! I was a bit dehydrated on the tests today, and ketotic, and BP was a bit high- probably anxiety!

@BlueSky57 What beautiful pictures! Congratulations!

@Stimpyyouidiot Sorry you're feeling a bit rubbish today. I ordered a Doppler last week, but hopefully by the time it arrives I'll have lovely regular movements so won't need to open the box. (It's not going to do my anxiety any good at all!)

Ambii · 03/04/2022 20:39

@BlueSky57 We are very close! DD 17th Sept and 20 week scan for April 29th eek! We were due to take our 8 Yr old DS for a private scan today but DH tested positive for covid so rearranged for next week 😞 We are hoping for another DS fingers crossed I've been watching this thread for a while but first time posting! Out of curiosity have any of you looked at the Chinese gender prediction calender? If so was it accurate for you? Apparently uses mother's age at conception along with month of conception to give a M or F prediction (aware its a 50:50 chance of being correct haha!) Just a little disappointed to have to put our scan back and filling the time! Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the 2nd Tri 💕

BlueSky57 · 03/04/2022 20:49

Thanks all! Flowers I found out I have an anterior placenta too so may explain why I haven’t felt any movements so far

@Ambii wow we are close! I just tried the Chinese predictor chart you mentioned & it was accurate for me Grin

TotoAnnihiliation · 03/04/2022 20:57

@Poppypip1 - I've not exercised today but it's been a none stop day. Nesting has kicked on along with a burst of energy. I've gutted my living room and cleaned it, declutter DD's toys and got rid of a load of crap that wax just lingering about. Feels so much better than wanting to clean but being too poorly to.

I'm going to charge up my Fitbit (which has been neglected since the beginning of January) and start building up my step count. I plan a short walk tomorrow to start this new regime. I'm also going to bake some breakfast muffins that are a diabetic friendly recipe. I haven't got diabetes but need have them glucose test and can't see the harm in eating a better diet, now that I can eat again!

@ShiningStarz just like you, I can't fit much food in these days! I'll be eating little and often.

Poppypip1 · 03/04/2022 21:20

@TotoAnnihiliation sounds like it's been a day for nesting/decluttering :)
Please can you share the muffin recipe?

@BlueSky57 my due date is 16th sept, I haven't got my appointment for my 20 week scan yet hope I find out soon when it is!

@Ambii I tried the Chinese calendar says boy for me and I'm thinking this is a boy, but we'll find out next week 😬

TotoAnnihiliation · 03/04/2022 21:29

@Poppypip1 this is the recipe that I found - diabeticgourmet.com/diabetic-recipe/sugar-free-blueberry-muffins

stimpyyouidiot · 03/04/2022 21:34

I do feel quite crampy today. Trying to not to worry too much. I borrowed a Doppler for my first pregnancy and couldn't ever properly work it, so I probably won't try again as it'll cause more anxiety I think.

Hoping I will start to feel things soon.

Em85kk · 03/04/2022 21:35

@Ambii just checked the Chinese calendar, it’s right for both of mine!
