@annlee3817 and @madeleine85 : Glad you chose to stick with us; it truly wouldn’t be the same without you guys!
@madeleine85 same here with the middle name conundrum. We just can’t find anything we like that goes with the first name we decided on or with our complicated jumble of a last name! We’re aiming for a single syllable middle name but the options are rather limited and I’m not feeling too keen on most of them unfortunately. I mean, I like a lot of them—I just don’t LOVE them. They don’t give me that “this is it!” feeling
@stimpyyouidiot that’s what we had too but then one night my husband thought of a name and didn’t tell me about it. The next morning I thought of it too and asked him if he liked it. So it seemed like fate that we both thought of it independently and both loved it! Have you been testing any out?
@TotoAnnihiliation and @EverydayIsPJday: The name we picked was one we originally picked for if we were having a boy, but it turns out it’s gender-neutral (neither of us realized that at first). We liked it enough that we decided to use it for whichever we ended up with—which ended up being a girl. So maybe look into some unisex names and see if any strike you too? That way you’ll be ready for whichever you end up with!
@Em85kk haha that’s what ended up happening with us too. We were trying the name out as a top-runner and then it stuck and we’ve been calling her it for weeks now. I don’t think we ever officially officially decided, but it’s definitely her name now. No going back (not that I would anyway! I love it!)
@ShiningStarz ah might have been helpful for me to mention that I work from home. I don’t think I’d have such minimal leave goals otherwise. I very much see myself slacking for a little while before and after officially taking leave haha
That’s a good point regarding the scan. I guess my concern is that maybe the scheduler didn’t realize that I’d be only 18+6 for it. My initial worry came from my 12-week scan. I was 11w 6d for it and the sonographer kept saying how she wished they had scheduled me a little closer to 13 weeks because you can see so much more then and get such a better scan for the measurements and whatever. With her feeling for that one, I’m worried at the possibility that maybe she and the scheduler didn’t coordinate again. And obv that wouldn't be ideal since the 20-week one is so incredibly important and nerve-wracking to begin with.
I might mention it when I’m there for a regular appt next Friday just in case. Like you said, they know more than us, but I guess it never hurts to check. I should also mention that my doctor’s office is about 40 minutes away, so it’ll be extra frustrating if I end up having to go back. That’s not my main concern though, of course.
Hi @surprised12! How has everything been going for you?
Welcome @Redapple21! Very jealous of your probable baby feels!
