@hellointhere that’s a type of Omega-3, right? After you said that I looked and mine doesn’t have it in either. And I’m vegetarian (vegan when not preggo) so now I’m feeling really guilty, too!

Vimto1991 · 02/04/2022 07:04

@hellointhere nhs only recommends vitamin d and folic acid so I wouldn’t worry.

Flowerbug1994 · 02/04/2022 08:43

Anyone else feel starving all the time, I feel guilty for eating so much shit food but I can’t stop snacking !! Also hitting a brick wall of extreme tiredness about 2pm each day. I suppose I can’t complain I have breezed though the first 30 weeks with minimal symptoms.

pregnancydiaries · 02/04/2022 08:59

Got signed off sick yesterday for the foreseeable to try and get a grip on the fainting, told my boss and she asked me if I could do some work this weekend before I go off 😅....eg can I do overtime when I'm not supposed to be doing anytime 😂

RoseValleyRambles · 02/04/2022 10:15

@preganacydiaries That's so ridiculous. How do these people end up in management roles?!?!?! Has your doctor prescribed anything or do they just think you need rest?

fpeg · 02/04/2022 11:30

@pregnancydiaries wow, just wow! How can anyone think it's acceptable to ask someone signed off sick to do any work? Pregnancy doesn't even feature in that equation! That's just all kinds of bad!

@Flowerbug1994 definitely starting to get hungrier, however, still finding I just can't eat very much! Having to go with the little and often mantra. Weirdly I'm just not massively in the mood for junk though (I normally have a very sweet tooth but have barely touched chocolate this pregnancy!), and I'm finding being on holiday is actually making the eating thing quite hard. Not complaining about our baby moon though!

ALHCTPS · 02/04/2022 11:44

@Rolledthedice the swollen labia thing is charming, isn’t it? And the elastic of the leg holes of my pants keeps rubbing too, leaving the skin raw. Pregnancy is the gift that keeps giving.

Flowerbug1994 · 02/04/2022 11:46

@fpeg I wish I had been out off chocolate Easter eggs are my favourite thing in the world 😂😂 going to get a subway salad for lunch make me feel abit better about myself 😂😂

ALHCTPS · 02/04/2022 11:50

Just come back from two weeks away. Left the country for the first time in two years. Took a few days to get my head around being in another country. I’m well travelled, but life has been so small for so long. And my little boy took a while to get his head around the concept too. Had to make do with, at best, a single measly pillow the entire time we were away, though, which wasn’t great, and only showers not baths, so couldn’t relieve backache that way either. But I do recommend holidaying sooner rather than later, if you can. We had a few days in Paris when I was eight months gone last time and it was not fun walking about with a bowling ball under my skin. I’m tired and breathless but still relatively mobile currently. Mind you, had a bit of a boogie on the dance floor at our friends 50th birthday and it was quite the challenge negotiating moving to the beat with a bump and significantly larger boobs not entirely strapped down as they’re too sensitive. I’m a B cup normally, so the boobs were actually more problematic than the bump when trying to have a bop.

ChildOfFriday · 02/04/2022 12:26

Yep, I've been buying myself whatever Easter egg is on offer at every weekly shop for a while now Blush

Littlemilomoo · 02/04/2022 14:23

Had growth scans this morning after measuring over 100th centile at 30 week midwife appt this week but little one is measuring perfectly at 50th centile and weighing at 1.5kg/3.3lb 🥰 Drinking lots of fluid, waving and kicking. Feet are right above head 😂

We have chosen to not know gender but based on todays scan, what are your predictions? 🥰

@Littlemilomoo aw yay! Glad baby’s doing well. You must be relieved all is fine? I’m terrible at guessing but seeing as it’s 50/50 I’ll say BOY.

PleaseSendNoodles · 02/04/2022 16:41

@ALHCTPS glad you managed to get away! I’m planning a trip travelling solo about 20 hours and 3 flights each way… at 32 weeks. I might be crazy 😬

Octoblockisadick · 02/04/2022 17:36

Agree with everyone who is getting breathless, I'm feeling it too! Still trying to do the stairs at work, my ward is up 2 flights so I'm doing those at least twice a day (morning and lunch). Definitely need to stop for a breather when I get to the top now though.

@pregnancydiaries that's awful of them, I hope you said no chance! Try and rest as much as you can.

@Littlemilomoo I'll say girl haha. Do you have any preference? I know of course we all just want everything to be OK, but I definitely knew I wanted a girl with my first.

pregnancydiaries · 02/04/2022 18:55

@fpeg @RoseValleyRambles @Octoblockisadick honestly think I'm still in shock at the request...and stupidly I had the laptop out at 5am this morning when I couldn't sleep. Partner took it straight off me at 7 when he got up. You're all so right, it's madness!!! Oh well that's me off now and her attitude has made me feel I won't be rushing back!!

@RoseValleyRambles they think the fainting is coming from the basically non existent iron levels. I have IBD so the supplements aren't absorbing properly. Getting an iron transfusion next week so hopefully that helps but at this rate I'm not sure I'll be back at work this side of baby.xx

@Littlemilomoo amazing news that measurements are back on track ♥️ I'm calling girl!xx💗

@Octoblockisadick

Prema112 · 02/04/2022 19:50

@Flowerbug1994 I'm eating everything in sight!!! And then in pain as my stomach is squashed and I'm eating too much! Also I am obsessed with junk at the moment and feel bad for the baby, I'm a bit addicted to Burger King chicken nuggets!

Oh wow the last couple of days the aches and pains have really stepped up a notch. No position is comfortable. I really feel for all those with PGP/back pain, it sounds awful. So pleased you're off work @pregnancydiaries and I wouldn't be going back any time soon with a boss like that! @beansprout55 So sorry to hear your physio was useless, so frustrating when you paid for it to. Hope you can find a good osteopath

Anyone getting a tender bump? I've got an area to one side of my belly button which feels like I have a bruise on it but I don't, it's really sore!

PeeAche2 · 02/04/2022 20:25

Had a tree surgeon out today and he badly damaged one of our ornamental cherry trees in the process. And then tried to hide the damage by propping it up and not telling us.

Took the money and scarpered. My husband is fuming. Since the tree bloke isn't around, husband is instead fuming at the person that booked him. That's me.

So fed up. Feel fat, breathless, tired, achey, miserable and now guilty too.

It's a few hundred pounds worth of damage and the man isn't answering my calls. Husband isn't speaking to me. What a thoroughly shitty weekend. 😢

Letsbekindplease · 02/04/2022 21:32

Heartburn is killing me tonight. I’m not sure if it’s the angel cake I’ve ate or the 2 twister ice lollys and Calippo 😂. Baby seems to be loving it though. Lots of movement.

Glad you’ve been signed off work @pregnancydiaries. I’ll be off work soon but pushing myself a little longer. My ferritin levels were 8 which they said is “low but not that low” sounds pretty low to me! They were 10 last year and my hair fell out so even lower now.

DaimDillyDoo · 02/04/2022 21:39

Does anyone have experience of a prolapse? I think I might have one... @beansprout55 I've just read your comment about prolapse, do you have any symptoms?

When I squat down the sides of my vagina lips seem spongy, harder and weird... they didn't feel like this before pregnancy!

Genuinely think I'm falling to bits in my third trimester.

Thanks for the reassurance re heartbeat/palpitations

DaimDillyDoo · 02/04/2022 21:43

@PeeAche2 Give yourself a break, you've battled HG and come through the other end and are growing a human! Be kind to yourself, pregnancy is draining Thanks

beansprout55 · 02/04/2022 21:48

@DaimDillyDoo I'm not sure if what you're describing sounds like a prolapse - is anything coming out of your vagina?

I'm 99.9% sure my posterior vaginal wall has prolapsed (a rectocele), albeit quite mild. Some days when I insert a finger I can feel a bulge on the back wall and I can push it in, and once when I was constipated pushing it enabled me me to follow through..... BlushHmm
Midwife told me to see a physio when I phoned her about it, and as I said below the physio said she couldn't diagnose that and wouldn't even look internally, she just told me it's unlikely etc.... My symptoms sound like nothing but a rectocele though. I am scared of having a VB now that that's already happened pre-birth I'm convinced it will get worse and my bladder will go too Sad

GrowBabyGrow · 02/04/2022 21:56

@DaimDillyDoo I was reading about down below pregnancy symptoms as it already feels different and one thing that came up was swollen labia, apparently really really normal so it might it's not a prolapse! I'm going to mention it to my midwife on Monday when I have my appt as I think that's what I have, either that or varicose veins down there

Rolledthedice · 02/04/2022 22:21

@GrowBabyGrow I think I’ve developed a similar thing to you! It feels puffy and a bit tender on the right side of my outer labia, in the crease where it meets perineum. (Sorry if TMI!) Luckily I have my pelvic floor physio on Monday so will ask her to take a proper look. I also feel pressure when I wee / just after. I’m hoping it isn’t varicose veins as I really want a vaginal homebirth. I’m wary as I have a huge bulging varicose vein my right leg (had it 11 years) and spider veins in the left now too, so clearly it’s in my genetics! It could also be SPD - are you finding you need to take smaller steps when walking?

@DaimDillyDoo it sounds like you may have the swollen labia symptom. Worth getting a midwife to take a look. If nothing is bulging out of your vagina than it doesn’t sound like a prolapse. x

Rolledthedice · 02/04/2022 22:23

I’m nearly 30 weeks and bump is all out front, so perhaps that’s why things are getting a bit puffy down stairs. 😅
