@4thtimethecharm that is a relief to hear! Hopefully amnio goes okay for you in a few weeks. ☺️

destiEos · 28/03/2022 13:04

@CurryandSnuggle that is an awesome bump :)

@Vimto1991 you've just spurred me on to order cot and changing table(not in stock til mid-April) and nursing chair(made to order apparently so will get mid-June)

@4thtimethecharm - that is brilliant news, very happy for you! Get yourself some well deserved rest and downtime and cake, you earned it Cake

fpeg · 28/03/2022 13:28

@4thtimethecharm so glad that no other concerns seen! I'd have made exactly the same decision on the amnio 💚

@CurryandSnuggle love the bump 😍

@Vimto1991 your nursery is just gorgeous! I need to get my skates on!

Just paid the balance on our travel system (ordered on Black Friday which just seems so long ago!) had to be reminded exactly what we'd ordered, thankfully I still like it 😂

That really is everything ordered and paid for now I think!

17.5 days left for me before I start mat leave (annual leave, weekends and bank holidays taken out), can't believe it's so few 😱 not sure I'm ready for this!

MsBubbles85 · 28/03/2022 13:34

Brilliant news @4thtimethecharm!!!

I have been organising the baby's clothes this weekend and have realised how many clothes baby already has. I have organised them between bodysuits and outfits and from smaller sizes to bigger sizes. Some of them were mine that my mum kept and also my parents got overboard with buying things! It's their first grandchild and I am an only child so they are extremely excited

@destiEos oooh they look beautiful! I’ve been hoping I can squeeze in a rocking chair but not sure if I have room, may try and find space in the living room as I really like the idea of one. 😍

@fpeg thank you! We’ve just ordered our travel system from cosatto today! All getting a bit real now. :)

beansprout55 · 28/03/2022 13:58

@4thtimethecharm Thank God! So happy that there wasn't any bad news today. Was thinking about you 3 all weekend!

@CurryandSnuggle your bump is just so so beautiful 🥰 Love your dress too! You've inspired to me to think about getting some dresses soon. I've been wearing tank tops and the same black mat leggings for months 🙈 (I wear scrubs at work and I don't go out!)

imhereforthecake · 28/03/2022 14:31

Does anyone else work nhs in patient facing role?
The covid numbers at my workplace are soaring by the day. Previously we were allowed to work from home/medical suspension from 28 weeks. But my trust has stopped this now.
I'm so worried about catching covid in this last stretch.

InvisibleDragon · 28/03/2022 14:34

@Vimto1991 Your nursery is beautiful!

@4thtimethecharm - that sounds like really good news from your scan. Keeping my fingers crossed everything goes smoothly from now on.

@CurryandSnuggle I love your bump picture! Lovely dress too Smile

I've found some simple yoga poses - cat/cow and extended child's pose with wide knees really helpful for pelvic/lower back pain. Cobbler's pose on the other hand creates a weird spiky pain right through the middle of my pelvis. Maybe one to avoid!

Was in a really minor car accident last week so had to go to maternity triage to be checked. Baby is fine and I had a lovely chat with a student midwife whilst they monitored his heart rate etc, but omg I was so scared and upset that he might have been harmed.

InvisibleDragon · 28/03/2022 15:07

@imhereforthecake - yes, I'm patient facing in the NHS, but I think my trust still has the WFH after 28 weeks policy. Luckily I also have 3 weeks of training from 30 weeks, so I only really have 5 weeks after that before mat leave starts if they change the policy.

I think there is supposed to be a risk assessment for clinical working in pregnancy that is updated/redone every trimester. If you are concerned, can you use the 3rd trimester risk assessment to highlight the things you feel are the biggest risks and ask for them to be mitigated? For example, in my second trimester assessment, we agreed I wouldn't:

  • work with unvaccinated clients in person
  • do home visits (although this is because I work in a team where there is a risk of violence)
PeeAche2 · 28/03/2022 17:16

Hi ladies, how is everyone? I've been busy so I've fallen very far behind with this chat.

Some gorgeous pictures of tiny clothes, beautiful bumps and darling nurseries. 😍

I've been picking at a Waitrose family size tiramisu for the last 4 days.
I go to the fridge with the spoon and just delve in.

I've polished the whole thing off. It makes the baby do big kicks which I enjoy.

Husband asked where it's all gone and I explained that baby and I enjoyed it together. That it tasted delicious and made her do somersaults for an hour.

He told me he's not surprised because it's probably got 6 coffees and half a bottle of Marsala wine in it. 😐 I'm such a bad pregnant lady. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

I ordered the baby's new cot almost a month ago and it hasn't arrived. Not impressed. Going to be too fat to assemble it at this rate. (Husband is an unreliable DIY-er. He will say "later" and finish it when she's 6yo)

Littlemilomoo · 28/03/2022 19:08

@Vimto1991 we have also chosen that wall paper for our nursery 🥰 not finished yet, still need to change the purple curtains and few bits but so in love with the room already. Makes it feel so real 🥺

Littlemilomoo · 28/03/2022 19:09

Whoops also didn’t attach !!

Absolutely love seeing all your nurseries!! Makes me so excited for us all. We aren't doing one as baby will be in with us until we move into a garden building while we knock down and rebuild our house!

Vimto1991 · 28/03/2022 19:46

@Littlemilomoo omg! Great minds think a like! It’s so cute isn’t it 🥰 your nursery looks gorgeous!!

Rolledthedice · 28/03/2022 19:48

Aww all your nursery photos are just gorgeous! 😍 Makes me wish we had a nursery to decorate! I’ve only got as far as making a list, no purchases as yet. 🙈

@CurryandSnuggle what a lovely bump and dress!

@4thtimethecharm so pleased to hear your scan was on the positive side, keeping everything crossed for you going forward. 💜

@InvisibleDragon glad to hear you and baby and both ok after that scare, the last thing you want is a minor car crash eek.

Annabell1 · 28/03/2022 19:49

@DaimDillyDoo I hope you are fine and I'm glad they have picked it up so they can keep an eye on it.
@4thtimethecharm I'm sending you soo many good vibes. Hopefully things will turn out OK. Flowers
Happy belated birthday @Octoblockisadick & @pregnancydiaries I hope you both had a lovely day!
@CurryandSnuggle Such a pretty bump :)

Honey2 · 28/03/2022 19:56

@MsBubbles85 I feel better now I have seen your post! I have bought quite a few dresses and outfits and been given loads of baby grows… this is our first baby girl after 3 boys so I couldn’t help myself. But I must stop now!!

Anyone else due at the beginning of June really feeling it now?? This is my 4th baby and I am sure I didn’t feel quite so achy, tired and generally very pregnant this early before (I’m 30 weeks) although it could have something to do with being 41! 🙈

PleaseSendNoodles · 28/03/2022 20:24

@pregnancydiaries glad to hear things were positive overall. Will be keeping you in my thoughts and praying it’s all smooth sailing from here for you!

Im also enjoying all the nursery and tiny clothes pictures! We’re in rented so can’t decorate as such but enjoyed revamping a little chest of drawers for her tiny things.

Also just ordered the pushchair / stroller and car seat! Eeek. Is it me or were the options overwhelming?! In the end I just went for it to stop scrolling through any more reviews! Nobody I know has this particular pushchair so I hope it’s as good as it claims to be 😬

PleaseSendNoodles · 28/03/2022 20:27

Photo of said chest of drawers…

Doh! I meant my message for @4thtimethecharm - sorry! Im crap with user names.

Your name was in my head because I meant to say Happy Birthday, @pregnancydiaries - enjoy your massage!

Okay. Sorry for the triple post, stepping away now 🙈

Letsbekindplease · 28/03/2022 20:40

@4thtimethecharm great news. I too have been thinking of you over the weekend.

Love seeing the nursery pictures.
We won’t have our nursery sorted as our ds still in there at the moment. Once baby is here and we’ve sorted a few jobs in the house we will have him moved to his new room and nursery will be done. Trying not to stress about it but I am. Haha

RoseValleyRambles · 28/03/2022 21:30

Ooh at all the nursery pics. And those drawers! The baskets of organised things are to die for... Grin

I will have to wait until I've stopped using my office to return it into a nursery, but little one will be in with us for the first few months so that's ok. I put all his little things in one of my drawers this weekend and it was so adorable. I've tried to manage the shipping instinct by buying both newborn and 0-3 wardrobes now, so have only semi- ridiculous quantities of each rather than truly ridiculous of just newborn...

@4thtimethecharm So glad they didn't find any big causes for concern. Thinking of you though as the uncertainty must be really hard.

Prema112 · 28/03/2022 21:46

@4thtimethecharm So pleased to hear the scan didn't reveal anything else worrying ❤️ Praying baby continues to grow well and the other things going on are minor and don't get worse.

The nurseries are so cute ladies! And I love the organisation systems! Our little bean won't have a nursery but I remember having fun doing Ds1's last time. Hope this one doesn't come early as we still don't have anything for the baby in our flat!
