@annie1994 I'm sure your boys will be super close as they are so close in age. Sure they will no doubt fight but they will also play lots together ❤️

I have a friend who has twins and the boys are ready made entertainment for each other. I'm sure it'll be like that with your boys!

pansytub · 17/03/2022 17:47

@annie1994 I'll have 25 months between my little boy and #2 who is a girl...mine doesn't sleep through the night at the moment - the fear is real 🤣 I'm sure itll be ok though!

Annabell1 · 17/03/2022 17:52

Thank you all for your kind words. ❤️

@Prema112 Thanks, yes I'm so happy to be home. Unfortunately, they were not able to find out why. Apparently they don't always find an explanation. Hopefully no more spotting for us.
@JAR1981 It didn't meet the criteria, because of no episodes of high variations and large decelerations. I've done a bit of research since and apparently this can be normal between 26 and 28 weeks as their central nervous system is still quite immature and also because they have plenty of room to move around. I highly recommend to ask lots of questions, because I just found out by taking a picture of the CTG.
...Definitely having problems putting my socks on.
@GrowBabyGrow Thanks for the link. I have signed up this morning. :)
@Octoblockisadick Congratulations, so happy you got the job!

Octoblockisadick · 17/03/2022 18:14

@pansytub my daughter is almost 4 and doesn't consistently sleep through so a bigger age gap isn't a guarantee haha! She still ends up in our bed from around 1am most mornings.

Thanks guys, I'm so happy.

annie1994 · 17/03/2022 18:19

@Prema112 @EarlGreywithLemon I really hope they are little buddies and sidekicks!

@pansytub haha what have we let ourselves in for 😳😂 my little boy went through the worst sleep regression for about 2 months and being pregnant it was SO HARD. He is just starting to get over it so I feel for you!

destiEos · 17/03/2022 18:54

@Prema112 don't worry too much, DH is mostly nonchalant too. I think they feel pretty useless and sort of just rely on you to set the pace. I remember a friend's husband who was totally cool on the ward when I went to visit the day after his wife gave birth. In the lift on the way down for a cigarette (in the good old days!) he just started crying and burst out "oh my god, it's just hit me - I'm a dad!" - he was smiling too, but he looked so shocked. Men are weird.

@Octoblockisadick congrats on the promotion, go you!

Damnit, I meant that for @PeeAche2..

DaimDillyDoo · 17/03/2022 18:59

@MrsNT thanks for the tag, I haven't been on for a few days... things move so fast! Grin

Is anyone else feeling really down in the dumps lately? I've cried so much this last week. DP's family never ask how I'm doing or how baby is, despite them being all over DP's first baby with his ex. It makes me so sad that they don't even care about baby already Sad

On another note... does anyone else have an anterior placenta? I had a 4d scan and her little face was all scrunched up against my placenta 😂 they said they wouldn't recommend another one with my placenta!

unknownscot · 17/03/2022 19:14

@DaimDillyDoo
I had an emotional meltdown in work this morning and came home. My emotions are all over the place this week (26+1 today)

I'm blaming the baby 😂

Clomid1 · 17/03/2022 19:22

@PleaseSendNoodles @Turniptracker @Annabell1 @GrowBabyGrow @Vimto1991 @CurryandSnuggle @destiEos

Hopefully got you all, thank you ladies for responding. I’ll mention it to my midwife.

I have a scan at 32 weeks so hoping everything will be okay.

@curryandsnuggle
Awww thanks for thinking about me 😁. I couldn’t keep up with the chats though you lot fly through pages.

In general though apart from the kicks no pregnancy symptoms 😅

How have you been? Are you having a boy or a girl?

PleaseSendNoodles · 17/03/2022 19:30

Oh congrats @Octoblockisadick! So pleased for you.

@DaimDillyDoo I’m sorry you’ve been feeling down. Hopefully your DP’s family get a bit more excited and involved as baby’s arrival gets closer. But if they don’t? Don’t let it spoil it for you!

Ive been pretty down today. Rumours husband might not be home in time for the birth have floored me. Ive always known it’s a possibility with everything going on in the world but I will be so so crushed if he misses it. Giving birth abroad alone was never really in my plan 🙁 but then I remember all the people actually suffering right now and pull myself together 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

DaimDillyDoo · 17/03/2022 19:31

@unknownscot so glad I'm not the only one. I genuinely feel like a right misery this week and it's not like me to feel this way!

If anyone is on Instagram - follow thenakeddoula she's amazing for birth tips ❤️

GrowBabyGrow · 17/03/2022 20:01

@Octoblockisadick just on their website, I think I read it was their 'birthday' today or something like that :)

Annabell1 · 17/03/2022 20:38

@PleaseSendNoodles Oh noo, I feel for you. Let's hope that he can be there. You still have time so hopefully things change. Do you have a good friend that you could bring?
@DaimDillyDoo Try not to let them drag you down. You will have a wonderful little baby and it's their loss.

BunBun221 · 17/03/2022 20:45

@curryandsnuggle nooooo I'm sorry you're also now in the severe PGP club! Before I slipped and made it 100 times worse I had very similar symptoms to you with pelvic pressure especially when going up and down stairs!

I hope you get it under control soon! I've managed to avoid taking any of the codeine the hospital have prescribed me but I'm not sure if I can continue to hold out! I'm on a steady flow of Paracetamol for now!

MrsNT · 17/03/2022 21:14

Im getting such bad heartburn now. Wokeup in the middle of the night with an awful heartburm and had to take rennie which fixed it within seconds. Just had yogurt drink now to cool it.
Anyone else having it ?

OP posts:
AlbatrossSociety · 17/03/2022 21:24

@PleaseSendNoodles I'm so sorry, that's rubbish, I hope things work out so he can be there for you. Is there anyone else you would have with you?

@MrsNT yes to the heartburn. Actually find it amazing how quickly tums work though!! Sometimes when I have it badly I put my hand between my shoulder blades with my elbow up in the air and my other hand behind my back to try and open up my chest and stomach and it seems to help. Although sometimes just makes me burp.

JAR1981 · 17/03/2022 22:07

@Octoblockisadick woop! Congratulations :)

@PleaseSendNoodles sorry to hear that. I hope it changes. Yes terrible things are going on it the world right now it’s unimaginable what people are going through but it doesn’t mean you can’t be sad about your hub potentially missing the birth. Remind me, is this your first?

@GrowBabyGrow I’m all signed up for hypnobirthing now - thanks for sharing!

@DaimDillyDoo I’m loving thenakeddoula - did you see her course is on offer if purchased next week for Mother’s Day? Sorry to hear you’ve been feeling down. I had a huge argument with my mum on Sunday and it’s made me really upset this week. Being pregnant is a very emotional time!

beansprout55 · 17/03/2022 22:44

Ooooo love all the info and tips on what to wear during labour, it hadn't even crossed my mind!!

@GrowBabyGrow my positive birth pack arrived today and I'm so excited to use it, they included a book which I've skimmed through and it's amazing!

@DaimDillyDoo I'm sorry you're going through that. I am too! Their daughter already has 4, and we live away, so I guess that's why. Still hurts though! When your baby is here I'm sure they'll change as they'll be totally in love xx

I'm very emotional too (sorry forgot who said that!) My boobs have started to get leaky and DH said "eww" and I have been upset for 24 hours and counting. It's making my mind go crazy places and now I'm even thinking how self conscious I'm going to be during the birth if he's there - if he thinks that's eww what happens when I poop when pushing? And all the rest..... It's making me think do I want him there for that stage? Totally not rational and being over dramatic, I know. It's the hormones.

PleaseSendNoodles · 17/03/2022 23:49

@Annabell1 and @AlbatrossSociety thanks both of you. I just had a day of feeling sorry for myself but I’ve cheered up a bit now. It’s all just rumours but I let them get to me today! I’m at the stubborn point of saying ‘if he’s not there, I don’t want anyone there’. I have a brilliant best friend but she has a tiny baby and her husband is also deployed and has no family local! Maybe I should think about doulas…

@JAR1981 thank you. Yes, I’m hopeful there might be a solution… even if he has to leave again after the birth? Or maybe… he’ll be home on time after all?! 😬 but yes, it’s our first baby!

@beansprout55 oh bless you. It’s totally understandable you’re feeling down about it. It probably was just a throwaway comment but it’s a vulnerable time when our bodies are changing so much. And yeah… also ALLLL the hormones!

InvisibleDragon · 18/03/2022 08:00

Congrats on the promotion @Octoblockisadick - that's fantastic!

I'm another one with indigestion and wacky moods. Spent all weekend last week moping around and eating cereal (which did not help the indigestion!)

unknownscot · 18/03/2022 08:02

I've been on the peptic for weeks and weeks now. Much better than chewable gaviscon. You can get it on prescription x

Babyno21990 · 18/03/2022 09:01

Just jumping in on the low mood topic. I was a complete mess last week to to the point of constant crying, anger, anxiety and I felt awful as this was all in front of my 1 year old! Honestly is the worst feeling ever isn't it!! Pregnancy is a seriously tough time and I don't think there's enough information out there on low mood during pregnancy, it is always about after pregnancy.

On another note, has anyone thought about how they are giving birth? I did diamorphine the last time and fell asleep between contractions, as nice as that sounds it was awful, I had no strength to push, was violently sick after the birth and was out of it for a long time. I'm thinking of a water birth and just gas and air! The thought of that sickness and not being able to function after is just scaring me more than the labour 😂😂
