Ooooh lovely. I’ve escaped it for past month or two 😂 it was nice not to feel like hurling constantly!
12 weeks to go atleast 🙈🙈 I just want it to be June, it’s going to draaaag!

Lostintranslatio · 17/03/2022 11:08

I have two friends, one with two boys and the other one with one boy, and both were extremely nauseous until the birth day. Girl here and nausea mostly gone since 16 weeks (lots of food aversion though).

EarlGreywithLemon · 17/03/2022 11:08

@pregnancydiaries I'm so sorry! That's beyond grim and you're an absolute trooper soldiering on!! Not long to go now (though I bet it feels like an eternity).

Hopefully though you'll be like me and if you have a little girl in the future you'll be less sick! :)

EarlGreywithLemon · 17/03/2022 11:10

@Lostintranslatio

Ha! I'm so pleased I'm not the only one bucking the trend and feeling worse with a boy!

Prema112 · 17/03/2022 11:24

@EarlGreywithLemon That was the main reason I thought I was having a girl, nausea has been awful with this one and with my son it was mild. Both boys though!

EarlGreywithLemon · 17/03/2022 11:32

@Prema112 it goes to show that you truly can't tell. Oh, and I'm carrying high as well!

destiEos · 17/03/2022 11:36

Thanks everyone for your words of wisdom! I'm waiting to be called and told what I need to do, I'm sure everything will be fine though - really appreciate all your support Daffodil

@Annabell1 that sounds pretty traumatic, glad you were looked after and everything is now ok, despite lack of communication..

@Clomid1 welcome back, glad you're well. I'm 28 weeks yesterday, and can't see kicks at all, and I have posterior placenta - but DH can apparently Grin

@GrowBabyGrow thanks for the heads-up on the hypnobirthing course, might actually do that. In case anyone is buying things generally - check on Bounty and Emma apps - they have some pretty decent deals on things. Also, just noticed that Snuz have 10% off today - which is sort of annoying as I bought a bundle from Scandiborn for £20 more than the Snuz price and the mattress protector was missing (been chasing them for a month to get a replacement sent out) and I could order the whole bundle for less and get it all delivered tomorrow Angry

@Vimto1991 I've cut my cyclizine down to one tablet a day and only feel very slightly nauseous occasionally in the evenings, not giving them up though!

@JAR1981 I've been getting DH to help with shoes and socks for a week or 2 now - I can do it myself, but it takes a lot longer and leaves me out of breath.

pregnancydiaries · 17/03/2022 11:36

Making me feel a little less sorry for myself that others are the same with little boys!! @EarlGreywithLemon @Lostintranslatio @Prema112

Not long ladies, not long!!!💙

PeeAche2 · 17/03/2022 11:40

I'm having a girl and I have been very sick indeed. I had hyperem for the first 19 weeks. Now I only vomit in the mornings, and often it's just dry heaving.

I've been looking at all the baby clothes I've collected and it makes me cry because they're all so cute. I cry over their cuteness. Cry.

I so need to get out more.

Prema112 · 17/03/2022 11:42

@JAR1981 Yes! I've started asking my son to zip up my boots 😂 Big brother duties starting before the birth!

destiEos · 17/03/2022 11:47

@PeeAche2 "I've been looking at all the baby clothes I've collected and it makes me cry because they're all so cute. I cry over their cuteness. Cry. "

LOL - same :) I'm dying to finish tidying up the 'nursery' and getting some furniture in so I can get the clothes out of boxes/bags and see them again! SO CUTE!

unknownscot · 17/03/2022 11:48

Gosh you are all very prepared with getting clothing for labour. I had assumed I'll be in a CK bralet/sports bra and nae knickers type scenario.
😂😂

AlbatrossSociety · 17/03/2022 11:55

@unknownscot I'm 95% sure I'll be naked and have no issues with that 😂😂😂

pregnancydiaries · 17/03/2022 12:21

@PeeAche2 SAME!! I'd say we weren't going to build the nursery furniture until the May but instead it's getting done this weekend purely so I can buy little clothes to look at 🥺

pregnancydiaries · 17/03/2022 12:21

*said

JAR1981 · 17/03/2022 12:30

@PeeAche2 another one here crying over baby clothes. My husband bought a cute rabbit as a present the other day and it made be well up, I never thought we’d get here!

@AlbatrossSociety I’m pretty sure we’ll all end up naked or not far from it and not care in the slightest! My nighties are just a security blanket so I can tell myself I’ll at least start with a bit of dignity 🤣

CurryandSnuggle · 17/03/2022 13:22

@Annabell1 sorry I missed your post before, so sorry to read about your traumatic experience. Hope you are feeling less anxious now.

@unknownscot @AlbatrossSociety lol agreed, I’m probably going to be in a bra and no knickers 😂

@PeeAche2 haha love it, but they are sooo cute! ❤️

PeeAche2 · 17/03/2022 13:26

It'll be the first time my husband has seen me completely naked in months, I think. 😅

Jealous that @JAR1981 has the sort of husband that is buying cute rabbits.
On this end, after a brief time where husband seemed blissfully excited and happy about baby (following 1.5 trimesters of a "couldn't give a shit" attitude towards the pregnancy) husband has returned to total nonchalance.

I just don't get it. I've stopped trying to get it. Just lock myself away in spare room and cry at how small socks can.

Octoblockisadick · 17/03/2022 13:31

Oh my god @Annabell1 that sounds terrifying, I'm so glad everything seems OK now. 🤞 for no more issues!

Sorry you are in pain @CurryandSnuggle, is there anything you can do to ease it a little?

@GrowBabyGrow that's good about the hypnobirthing, is it just on their website or is it a special code?

@Vimto1991 & @Prema112 yes with the sickness! I've started getting really nauseous again in the last week or so. I've been putting it down to reflux but I don't know if I'm right as I have no other symptoms.
@EarlGreywithLemon I wasn't sick at all with my daughter but I've been quite sick with this boy.

@JAR1981 I'm struggling with my tights haha, have to sit on the bed.

@unknownscot my plan is just a bra or bikini top cause I'm hoping for the pool.

Not sure if you guys remember me saying about considering applying for a promotion, well I got the job!! I'm so happy haha.

Lostintranslatio · 17/03/2022 13:45

@Octoblockisadick congrats on that new job!!!

annie1994 · 17/03/2022 13:53

@EarlGreywithLemon @Prema112 I’m the same! I have a little boy and had bad-ish morning sickness with him till 17 weeks. But this time I’ve had HG, been hospitalised twice, lost a lot of weight and at 25+1 still being sick a bit. I was sure this was a girl because of how much worse it’s been but nope another boy 😂 just shows how each pregnancy is different!

With what people wearing, I didn’t even get time to change clothes for my first birth. So I was wearing a white top and leggings - needless to say they went straight in the bin after 😂 I plan on just a baggy nightie (if I have time!!) but trust me you won’t care what you’re wearing when the time comes. I remember the midwife trying to give me some “dignity” in the antenatal ward - I couldn’t have given a flying f**k who saw what 😂

Prema112 · 17/03/2022 14:16

@annie1994 Yey for the 2 boys club! How old is your older boy?

annie1994 · 17/03/2022 15:52

@Prema112 he is 18 months! So will technically have 2 under 2 😖 how old is your boy?

Prema112 · 17/03/2022 15:57

@annie1994 Oh wow you'll have your work cut out for you! Mine is 5 so he will be off to school in the daytime which I'm sure will be a relief, although the school run might be tricky...

annie1994 · 17/03/2022 16:04

@Prema112 I’m petrified having only 22 months between them but we’ll see 😅 that’ll be nice when your eldest is at school and can still have 1 on 1 time with your youngest. Hopefully baby just sleeps most of school run 😂
