Argggh neighbours @Minster2012 unless it's like literally blocking the light to the whole of their garden and windows then I have no sympathy! It's early but ok for baby to be engaged, baby will probably change their mind soon enough although it has been about a week they've stayed in position as midwife said the same last week when feeling around 🤞🏼

@larrythelizard ooo 12 days, DD was just 4 days early which was nice because in my naive little brain I wasn't expecting her so was a nice surprise 😆 you are right, girls clothes seem to be a lot better than boys. how are you getting on with headaches? I totally agree girls clothes are nicer @bez91 as would be an entrance 4 days early! Like you say you are ready but nice surprise!! No the tree def does not shade all the garden or any windows, in fact getting rid of the tree (or trees) would mean they could see into the bottom of our garden from their upstairs windows which we love the seclusion here (that wasn't the side we had sex outside on which possibly contributed to this pregnancy btw!) and as I pointed out to him when he said about "lack of light now for instance & its 11" I showed him it was his house that was creating the biggest shadow 😂

I guess it depends how much energy you have for decorating @Minster2012 - a coat or two of white and that lovely blind with some stuff on the walls like her name and stuff could work?

Yes as long as I eat plenty of protein and drink shit loads of water I seem to mainly ward them off @bez91 - it's just the constant heartburn that is my problem (well other than Covid...!)

Got some weird aches and pains tonight including in my sort of right kidney area which is obviously freaking me out but trying not to overthink, should have my 20 week scan in a couple of weeks so can check everything is OK 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

@Minster2012 nooo I wasn't agreeing with your neighbours, just saying I hate any kind of disagreement with neighbours. They definitely sound like pricks for expecting you to cut something down for them but not for them to cut something down for their own neighbours 😅

12 days @larrythelizard 😬 my first was also 4 days early like @bez91 and I was extremely naive too 2nd however was 6 days late and has been late ever since 🤣 and definitely plays by her own rules. I've only ever brought girls clothes @bez91 it's weird buying boys... and girls together!

@Minster2012 34 weeks would be about 30th March (eldest is 15 on 28th!) but looking 36wks so that'd be 13th April week ...

@larrythelizard possibly a uti with the weird pain? May be worth sending a sample in to be checked?

Thanks for the new bus, tho quite scary seeing my name so close to the top already 😱 Its actually the week before that they're talking of taking her out (5th) tho I'm wondering with all going so well if they're revert back to allowing her to stay in till 38 weeks instead which would be the 12th.

😂😂😂 at the baby queue! I still find it mind boggling im having a baby this year and generally not feeling pregnant still, roll on my 20w scan (which I still haven't had a letter for so will chase next week)

Weird kidney pain gone today, feel pretty ropey today but thankfully DH can dip out of most work and I can leave him with the terror toddler, who I know im being way more short tempered with than I should be...😬

@Juno231 on the flying front - is the hospital saying flying itself poses an issue with pressure to your cervix, or is it more just they don't think you should venture too far from a British hospital? 🤔 If it's the latter then I think I'd make a sensible decision based on the scans.

@larrythelizard I don't feel pregnant either. I still feel fraudulent telling people. I mean wtf? 🤣 I thought after the 20 week scan it would feel more real. I suppose it feels real in some ways as I keep buying things. But in others it really doesn't and I've still not told many people. I've messaged my cousins today actually though. As its getting ridiculous. 🤣

Out tonight for DHs (late) birthday celebration with family. Steak place. Can't wait. 🎉 I'm hoping i can manage food. Last night I felt hungry but then only managed half of it. I'll skip the starter..... 🤣

I just got freaked out (on the whole still in denial thing) the top of my bump on the left went REALLY solid, and I pressed it and it def felt like a head. That's totally freaked me out. There's actually a human that I can FEEL from the outside now. 😬😬😬😬

It's the little cord dresses and the leopard print stuff I love @paintfairy more than just the colours! Toddler boy stuff in particular is pretty predictable and boring.

Haha @Minster2012 I remember putting the pram together for DS and me and DH sort of looked at each other and went 'oh fuck what have we done'! Also I put some colour blocking inspo up on insta for you!

@larrythelizard @Minster2012 I don't think I'll be given an exact date till the week before, they're basically reviewing it on a week by week basis with the aim of all going well reaching 37 weeks. With DS they aimed for 38 weeks and the closer they got they kept bringing it forward by half a week till rather than week by week it was assessed day by day and he decides to take him out one day at 35. I've a feeling this will be the same, give me a week to aim for but eventually it'll be a day by day before making a decision on the day. I'm hoping as all is going well I'll reach the 37 week mark (or even 38) but with her being big if and my womb thin and at risk of rupturing they may err on the side of caution and it may be earlier.

@kaylsd hope your poorly pooch gets better and you get to enjoy your birthday weekend.

@minster2012 it's quite freaky when you can actually start to feel proper body parts isn't it! Depending on how she's lying I've started to be able to feel the outline of her head and down her back it's so surreal!
Asda online have a sale on some of their nursery themed rainbow stuff that you might like.

@Minster2012 I've had that belly thing. I'm fact it happened this morning. It can't be the head though in my case I don't think. I didn't know if it was weird muscle tightening or what? 🤷‍♀️ But there was a lump to the left. 🤣 I even made DH feel. She was actually moving about this morning too before I got up and I felt proper little twitches, as opposed to fish swims. I can't actually decide if I like it. 🤣
@larrythelizard I've not looked as far as toddler stuff to be fair! Yeah I suppose there is just more variation for girls. I do get excited when I see how cute the clothes are. And how small?! 🙈 Very very odd.

@Minster2012 @DKDK123 I am also a bit petrified at being near the top of the list 😳 I've just had this msg from my manager so I'm glad they are more relaxed than me;
"Hi B, The job vacancy for your maternity now live. Hopefully, if all goes to plan, your last 2 weeks will be spent with the new cover. Please make sure you tell baby not to come early [😄]"
Feel a bit sorry for him, he's only been in post 3 weeks, I've told him they've known about it for some time (November 🤦🏼‍♀️) and with the likelihood of now being induced at 38 weeks that's their bad 😂

@DKDK123 how big was DS at 35 weeks? If baby is bigger maybe they'll just be cautious and deliver earlier?

@paintfairy oooh we are having steak at home tonight! Love a good steak - enjoy! One thing that annoys me about boys/girls clothes is the whole boy=dog and girl=cat. I bloody hate cats 😂 I did get DD loads of cute girly dinosaur clothes. I like pink but some stuff is just too much 🤢

@bez91 your new manager sounds nice, it's not your fault if they knew from Nov and have left it till now to do anything about it.
DS was 5lb 2 when he was born which although small for a newborn I wouldn't say he was overly small for being 35 weeks. But when they pulled up his growth chart to compare it with her scan this week, at 28 weeks he was only on the 19th percentile whereas she's currently on the 97th at 28 weeks so it was the contrast between the two they were shocked at. Although I know the growth charts aren't always the most accurate so we'll see what size she really does turn out to be in the end. 🤷‍♀️
