@larrythelizard I've got the same mentality :) have a good balance and odd treat and deal with it afterwards! However this past week has been a lovely cheat week for my birthday 🙈
@minster2012 omg I can remember your hair 🤣🤣🤣 it's crazy how hormones can change things! Let's hope todays trip to the hair dressers won't be the same again for you, good luck with your appointment today :)
@Vil10 happy scan day sweetheart! Looking forward to hearing how you get on :)

Franklydear · 16/03/2022 10:11

I made a long post and MN didn't put it up

@Minster2012 I didn't, I want to but... I will later just need to hold my wee for 3 hours, lots of creamy cm today too
@larrythelizard testing children is horrible, so unfair, I tagged everyone in the hope that someone will say hold on a minute, but it looks like I finally got through that this will not be tolerated and advised that if I had to pull him off there'll be consequences, legally, it is child endargerment? which I hope is a crime cos I just made that up but you get the sentiment
Another long post come on mn, don't fail me now

Franklydear · 16/03/2022 10:55

Mn doesn't let me post pictures today 🤷 pink dress in Instagram I.knitted.this

paintfairy · 16/03/2022 10:59

@kaylsd I need thick hair! 🤣 Its interesting isn't it the strange changes that it can make. I don't think mine is any different mind.
@DKDK123 really interesting about the heart! I know they can hear but no you wouldn't expect things would affect them to that degree? I really need to keep more stress free then! 🤣
@bez91 a nursery viewing? That sounds organised! And yeah I agree bmi isn't really a great way of measuring things.
@Minster2012 might be a good idea! We argue about what to cook every day! Just can never think of new things and you don't need that stress near the end. I do wonder how we'll feed a toddler a varied diet. 🤣
@Vil10 good luck today!

So we've come to the conclusion we are all too fat? Makes me feel better. I've not really been good though and I'm back to eating cake and chocolate and crap. It was better when I just didn't fancy it. I'm trying to eat healthy meals but it's hard work. The midwife weighs me so maybe I need to stop looking myself! I've also decided childcare is ridiculous. Its like everything has to be the most difficult it can be? If you don't plan your life well you just can never do anything, and not everyone is great at planning that far in advance?
I'm back to being tired and irritable. I'm lucky i can get a fair amount of sleep but I'm still just always tired? Yesterday I was snappy with DH and felt bad about it after. 🙈 I didn't apologise mind.
I'm also not really enjoying all the rants on the bus if I'm being honest.......

Minster2012 · 16/03/2022 12:27

Well I'm pissed off cos hairdressers have phoned to say appointment has to be an hour later which is a first royal pain in the backside 🤨😫

Just had midwives though & met the new one I should hopefully have until birth, all lovely, didn't get weighed so didn't have it confirmed I'm getting fat 😂did ask about physio referral & also the car seat thing coming out of hospital and she said yes most places you have to carry the baby off the ward in a car seat but maybe I could be wheeled to the door carrying baby then hand to husband outside to put in fixed car seat? So obviously still a bizarre weird thing

It's ok @paintfairy toddlers don't eat a varied diet so no need to worry about that 🤪unfortunately the ok sleep then still feeling tired just a thing. Just another amazing pregnancy thing 😆🤦🏼‍♀️

@Franklydear MN obviously not your biggest fan today

Minster2012 · 16/03/2022 12:41

Also we've not had any MAFS chat for a while, I really like Brent, HATE holly & her stupid fella. Over and out

Vil10 · 16/03/2022 13:10

Hey girls, late check in from me! I'll catch up properly later on but scan went well, as well as it can with an extremely wriggly and stubborn/awkward baby!! Went in and it was the same woman from my 12 week scan, she commented on how full my bladder was, I was busting, got some things and measurements she needed, then told me to go for a wee because baby was being really wriggly with their hands over their face, so I was obviously relieved to be able to wee, came back and she got the face and other bits and then got 2 out of 4 parts of the heart but was struggling for the other 2 and the spine, so sent me for a walk, came back and she could physically see the other 2 parts of the heart but had certain criteria of being able to get a clear photo to sign it off which she couldn't do and couldn't get a clear view of the spine because baby was wriggling on its back🙈 so I have to go back in 2 weeks to get the spine ffs😂 she said everything looked perfectly normal though! I think I'd be gutted if I hadn't gone for that 17 week scan private scan, they checked heart, spine etc there and said it all looked good so that's reassured me!!

Minsters Side Car - Thread 7 - annoying neighbours, second hand bargains and how many sleep suits should we buy again?!
becarefuloutthere · 16/03/2022 13:17

@Vil10 yay 😀 so happy for you!! Great scan pic, and you get a bonus scan too, whoop! Same happened to me as they couldn't get all measurements cos she wouldn't move rather than moved too much 😂

paintfairy · 16/03/2022 13:28

@Vil10 I think it's fairly common. Mine i had to keep standing up and doing some wiggles. To try and get it to move. And we struggled with getting hands away from face. I'm glad everything is OK! Its a relief, isn't it.
@Minster2012 ah yes. I kept meaning to ask if you were still watching MAFS. We are up to date. Holly i literally hated and its really put me off the name. 🤣 I got fed up hearing how she couldn't speak, yet never shut up or let anyone speak. Brent i have gone off too. It's funny how your opinions change as you watch.

Franklydear · 16/03/2022 13:53

@Vil10 that’s fantastic, great that everything is good, lovely pics!

2020mission · 16/03/2022 14:00

@DKDK123 yes it was my birthday yesterday too, thanks for wishing me a happy one! Wee Matthew was fine so I did pop out for a lunch 🥳 he didn't even know I was gone as he napped through it.

I do feel like we need a third minster bus in the parenting section now for the new mums for parenting chat like someone suggested (was it @Minster2012 herself that did?). Would be nice to have a place for the next chapter for everyone. It looks like we'll all be done with pregnancy come the end of August at the moment. It will fly by 😅

Kate105 · 16/03/2022 14:38

Yay @Vil10 lovely scan pic! I also had to go back for a bonus scan because PTSD refused to show his face to the nice sonographer 😂 I should've known he'd be an awkward bugger...

Just agreeing with the BMI/weight gain calculator being crap! I was classed as being too heavy all the way through my pregnancy (having had a normal BMI before pregnancy!) and it's all melted off again more or less thanks to PTSD being permanently starving 😂 and none of my midwives ever said anything so don't think they were worried. Never got weighed again after my booking in appointment in any case I don't think.

Impromptu day at home here because our baby group got cancelled today. It's actually been really nice to bum around the house for once. I'm quite bad for insisting on running round and doing stuff all the time and I definitely can run myself into the ground. Also still feel like death, LFT still negative. Bloody germs. Yuck yuck yuck. I didn't even want wine yesterday so I think I might be dying if not already dead.

Franklydear · 16/03/2022 14:53

Ok, on 3 hours hold, it’s negative so big sore boobs are due to, whatever they are, don’t know, the heartburn and the nausea I can put down to stress but, I only know that I know nothing

larrythelizard · 16/03/2022 15:05

Yay lovely @Vil10 pleased all OK even if baby not playing ball - had to go back for a second look with DS (can remember why) and other than him being extremely awkward he was all good (all still applies!)

Happy birthday for yesterday @2020mission!

Sorry to hear you're still poorly @Kate105 - a day bumming around the house sounds like it'll be good for you.

I get the need for babies to be safe @Minster2012 but it does seem a bit silly!

I'm not heartburn free but it's less bad so I think the meds are starting to work 🤞🏼

larrythelizard · 16/03/2022 15:05

Oh and @Franklydear humph!

OP posts:
Minster2012 · 16/03/2022 15:22

@Vil10 look at that gorgeous picture!! And look at it the way of the bonus scan definitely 🥰 so so pleased for you

@2020mission a parenting bus sounds great, def doesn't need to be a Minster bus, I can fade away into obscurity (should def be like that for the TTC one) but still be there to ask you lot alllllllll the questions & get your advice 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

@larrythelizard have you had fruit today?? Do itttttttt really hoping the meds properly work for you 🤞🏻it's so bizarre about the car seat thing. I said but what about those who don't have a car & go on the bus & she was like 🤷🏼‍♀️. She's going to check but it seems bizarre to me. Anyway, we have a removable car seat but it won't be isofix in & means we'd have to be in DHs car as the fixed one will be in mine ready but just seems so bizarre!

@Kate105 see the dropping weight with breast feeding sounds really good, what happens if we can't /don't breast feed 😬 (I'd like to combi feed) anyway all for the future I guess. Sorry you still feel shitty, too shitty for wine is NOT good in my books, def have more time chilling round the house!! Btw are you getting on well with the mums you met walking?

@Franklydear 😫😫😫

@paintfairy yes I'm upto date! I tend to watch it in the morning over breakfast, there's a few I hate, Dominica too, Holly was awful but that guy was something else, Al I thought id hate but he's ok, Mitch though 🤔

So I'm sat at the hairdressers bored and on my third wee already. Also basically falling asleep, which is my default now it seems. I forgot that the midwife said my platelets are low earlier, but she didn't seem too concerned. No idea what it means

Did someone say about a one born every minute thing on Netflix or something? Can someone remind me?? I'm literally losing words & thoughts constantly atm can't retain any information 🤦🏼‍♀️

Justanothercyster · 16/03/2022 15:26

Oh flipping heck I missed half a bus 🙈 I do try I promise!

Me and Lucy were talking yesterday and we thought it would be a lovely idea to do a MN meet up during the summer holidays for anyone on here who might be interested/ comfortable? Would be great to meet all you ladies who have supported me through ttc and new mum life! We could find somewhere central- ish.

Would anyone be interested?

2020mission · 16/03/2022 15:36

@Justanothercyster I have a feeling it would be in central England so too far for me but it sounds like a lovely idea for the rest of you who are closer!

Minster2012 · 16/03/2022 15:48

@Justanothercyster assuming baby is ok then I'm up for it!!

Just gonna put this here...how many children how young?? Who the hell is this sperm bank??? & why do women sleep with him unprotected (unless they specifically want a child?)

Minsters Side Car - Thread 7 - annoying neighbours, second hand bargains and how many sleep suits should we buy again?!
larrythelizard · 16/03/2022 15:55

@Minster2012 haven't dated with the fruit but the usual things I've eaten have not made me massively heartburny. Holding out for the weekend! Obv I'm not a dr so I can only assume low platelets = you need to eat from a bigger plate?! Do you really need to watch OBEM...I maintain ignorance is bliss and you're not really ignorant anyway!

If I'm free I'll pop along @Justanothercyster even though likely to be a hippo still!

I try hard not to judge anyone @Minster2012 but wtaf Nick Cannon?! Eddie Murphy also has about 9 kids I think?!

@Vil10 Happy belated Birthday Gorgeous! And lovely scan photos! 💗

@DKDK123 going to fortnightly appts is amazing! Yay 🥰

@kaylsd Belated Happy Birthday to you too! Glad your pup is on the mend, it's horrible when they are poorly!

@Franklydear glad the bus stuff is getting sorted hopefully 🤞🏼

Loving all the bump pics 🥰

I'm totally on board with a big fuck you to the BMI calculator all a load of bullshit!

We are off on holiday on Friday - down to Devon which I am so excited about but dreading the long car journey!

becarefuloutthere · 16/03/2022 16:43

@Justanothercyster yes I'd defo be up for this! I guess Birmingham is the most central location but London might be easiest for all to get to?
@Minster2012 yeah nick canon is a bloody loose cannon!!
@blackcurrantqueen ooh lovely spot, enjoy the hol. Hopefully the drive won't be too bad!

paintfairy · 16/03/2022 16:46

@Minster2012 I didn't like Al at first but he's really grown on me. He's funny. Sometimes unintentionally. 🤣 I couldn't decide who was worse with Holly and Andrew. They were both awful. Dominica is odd- no matter what she does, wears etc she just is such a chav and I can't warm to her.
@Justanothercyster would love to meet MN people, if I'm not too fat to travel/ just given birth.

I have mixed feelings about another bus. I understood splitting from the last bus (people ttc don't enjoy hearing about babies and its uncomfortable) but really on here we mostly chit chat? And eventually we'll all just be mums anyway? I also find it useful when the new mums are contributing because I have no idea what to expect (since I have no DC already) and so I do learn things! Neither do I mind people posting about their babies and what's happening (obviously) and in fact, think it's a shame more people don't. Having said that I also completely understand the lack of time factor!

kaylsd · 16/03/2022 16:53

@vil10 so glad to hear your little ones scan went well little tinker being non compliant but least it’s a perk that you get to see little one again these next 2 weeks will fly! I think it’s quite a common thing for babies to be awkward when it comes to scans and measurements 🙈🤣
@minster2012 omg I’ve been watching MAFS and I really don’t like Brent his voice goes through me and I find he’s too quick to play victim 🙈 I’m not too keen on the newly weds who was on last night either I don’t get vibes off either couple but it’s early days! (Espesh the twin!)
@kate105 glad your on the FU to bmi bus 👋🤣 I hope you feel better soon quite a lot of my friends and even family have had either covid or flu symptoms and testing negative it’s rife around here again :( sending hugs!
@franklydear it’s so hard when your body sends mixed messages like that, sending hugs 🥺 are you classing any of your spotting days as D1 potentially incase you was really really light this month?
@2020mission happy birthday for yesterday :)
@minster2012 don’t worry about your platelets it’s a common 1/10 condition happens in mid-late term pregnancy, if they were dangerously low or of concern level they would have admitted you under the haematology team for investigation however it’s normally a self resolving thing post baby, it either happens if your blood makes too much plasma when pregnant or your body naturally takes all your platelets whilst increasing blood flow! Some people have low platelets if they have lupus too but I’m predicting in your case of being on the long term use of blood thinning injections it’s your route course of your low platelets 😘 hope this helps :) I'm not a midwife but that's my prediction from a adult nurse point of view 🙈
@justanothercyster I would love this! However I would be heavily pregnant mid summer time / due so I’m happy to join on another time for sure :)
@blackcurrantqueen enjoy Devon I’ve always wanted to head down that way for the summer break but like you dread the long drive down 🙈 hope the weather is fab for you ive heard it’s beautiful :)

Franklydear · 16/03/2022 17:25

@kaylsd I wouldn't know which, I decided to ignore everything, af will turn up eventually and start afresh, we're supposed to be stopping now, but nobody is a bigger ostrich than DH, so we're in limbo
