I donโ€™t know when Iโ€™m due, Iโ€™ve not had a period since DS was born but I got 1-2 weeks on a Clearblue digi this morning which puts me sometime late October or early November (I think!)
Feels like Iโ€™m too far behind the October group but too early for a November oneโ€ฆ anyone due a similar time and want to join me? Would love to have some company ๐Ÿ˜Š
@Nict4214 big congrats! So nice not to have to go through months of trying! How far will you be for your scan? Iโ€™d love an early scan but didnโ€™t think theyโ€™d see anything until past the 6 week mark.
@Frida9 I wouldnโ€™t feel the need to tell work for a while yet. Do you work in a job where youโ€™d have to let them know early on? I wonโ€™t be saying anything until closer to 12 week mark or even after that.
@Hjklasdfg why do you think itโ€™s twins? That would be amazing!
I know, I was in total disbelief to be honest! I'll be about 6.5 weeks, probably won't see much but wanting it for more peace of mind โ˜บ๏ธ

GodspeedJune · 28/02/2022 16:10

Congratulations to the newbies who have joined over the weekend! Star

CurbsideProphet So sorry about your previous pregnancies and I hope you have much better news this time. I had a UTI during the IVF as well, theyโ€™re so miserable arenโ€™t they! We practically went into isolation during the IVF so my main distraction is meeting up with people weโ€™ve been avoiding since Christmas! Have you found anything to help with the nausea?

Hjklasdfg I have M.E./ CFS too. We went for a walk on Saturday and I spent the whole of Sunday on the sofa Confused On the positive side Iโ€™m sleeping really deeply the last week or so which I havenโ€™t been able to do since pre-diagnosis. Have you seen much difference in your CFS so far?

Foxella Definitely a good idea to leave telling the in-laws to your DP, Iโ€™m sure it doesnโ€™t have an effect on baby at this stage but avoiding stress where poss has got to be best for you. Will you wait to tell your Mum in person with her living far away?

Hjklasdfg · 28/02/2022 16:21

@DM1720 honestly im going to sound weird but just a feeling I canโ€™t describe it, might be completely wrong of course haha.

@GodspeedJune itโ€™s good to speak to someone else with CFS and whoโ€™s also pregnant. To be honest Iโ€™m not sleeping as much, I had a busy day yesterday and today Iโ€™m just wiped out itโ€™s like I have less energy than I did before if that makes sense? Iโ€™m glad youโ€™re sleeping really deeply though! I have an appointment with an occupational therapist soon so hoping she can give me some tips on how to manage with the symptoms as well as pregnancy on top. I think most people who know me just think Iโ€™m having a very bad CFS flare.

Annny27 · 28/02/2022 16:27

Anyone else gone totally off sweet food? All I want is fresh Savoury snacks e.g. guacamole/ humus/ olives
And meat and gravy ๐Ÿคฃ I am 5+3

@thebirdinthecave sending love and I hope you get a positive outcome xx

@foxella pregnancy with a baby/toddler sounds rough!

Congrats to all the bfps xxx

GodspeedJune · 28/02/2022 17:06

Hjklasdfg Yes what youโ€™re saying completely makes sense. I think itโ€™s going to take quite a toll when our baselines are lower than someone who has normal levels of energy. Although I did read somewhere quite a high percentage of people with CFS have some improvement in symptoms during pregnancy - how nice would it be if that happened!

The O/T appt sounds like a good idea. My O/T is off sick at the moment but I think Iโ€™d like to hang on for her rather than see someone else as sheโ€™s so empathetic and really understands the condition.

Annny27 Iโ€™m completely off chocolate - very unlike me! Craving salt today so have asked DP to bring McDonaldโ€™s in, which is just as bad Grin

Hjklasdfg · 28/02/2022 17:44

@GodspeedJune yes! My energy just seems to go so so much faster now. Iโ€™m shattered from just walking around for a little while but my brain fog is a bit better which is bizarre. I hope it improves our CFS can you imagine??

Yeah I havenโ€™t had an appointment come through yet but she said sheโ€™ll send one out soon. It makes total sense tbh if youโ€™re happy with her you donโ€™t want to start all over with someone new. Iโ€™ll let you know if thereโ€™s any tips from my appointment โ˜บ๏ธ

I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ve been off any foods as such but now youโ€™ve mentioned McDonaldโ€™s the one thing I seem to desperately want right now is a McDonaldโ€™s strawberry milkshake ๐Ÿ˜‚ and all the carbs and butter - although I was on a low carb/low sugar diet before getting pregnant so it might just be because I can have carbs again!

TheBirdintheCave · 28/02/2022 17:49

The email midwife just told me to call the EPU. My husband tried but there was no answer :( Heโ€™s going to try to call again tomorrow. I suppose if my cheapie isnโ€™t darker tomorrow he wonโ€™t have to.

The only bright side here is that I had no more spotting yesterday and none today. I donโ€™t feel as sick today as I did yesterday though only a bit this morning before breakfast and this afternoon Iโ€™ve just got the low blood sugar feeling I get when Iโ€™ve eaten too late ๐Ÿ™„

I hope everyone else has had a better day! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

SimonSays87 · 28/02/2022 18:10

Hello! Congrats all on your BFP!

I got mine yesterday. Due early November. 3rd time round.
However, feeling very anxious. Been under consultant care because it turned out I had leftover tissue from a MMC in Oct! Only just finished my course of antibiotics and now found Iโ€™m ๐Ÿคฐ๐Ÿผ
So worried they are going to say it wonโ€™t be a pregnancy I can go ahead with ๐Ÿ˜ž

DogsAndBirds · 28/02/2022 18:25

Well Iโ€™m now 6 weeks and the nausea has hit me. One of my students asked if I was hanging today so I clearly look as rough as I feel.

Kat668 · 28/02/2022 20:47

@TheBirdintheCave please don't ever worry you're bothering us! This is a safe place and we want to be there for you โค๏ธ that's good the spotting has stopped, I'm sure the tests are just because it's reached a point where they can't go any darker. Will be keeping everything crossed for you x

Dreams2727 · 28/02/2022 20:52

@Annny27

I am due ~ 27th October:) have had 2 mcs and been ttc for nearly 3 years so it's a rather anxious time!
Just wanted to say me too! I'm due 10th October - everything crossed it's third time lucky for us both
Annny27 · 28/02/2022 21:02

@dreams2727 congratulations to you too! Third times a charm ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’™

ThinkingDifferent · 01/03/2022 05:03

For those who've had early scans, what's the earliest they could see anything? I went for one about 10 days ago and it was too early to see much, so have rebooked for next week when I think I should be 6+5. Just wondering if I should leave it longer & stretch to 7 or 8 weeks?

Annny27 · 01/03/2022 07:29

@thinkingdifferent at 6+5 you will be able to see a sac, small baby and heartbeat :)

But obviously will be able to see more later on

TheBirdintheCave · 01/03/2022 07:47

@ThinkingDifferent I went at 7+2 last time (though I was a little earlier due to when Iโ€™d ovulated) and they could see my son and his heartbeat :) If I make it that far this time Iโ€™ll be going at 7+5.

mary3388 · 01/03/2022 07:49

Hi ๐Ÿ˜Š lovely to read your messages. I tested positive in Saturday, 1st child, hoping all goes well ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’• quite nervous about the 1st trimester x

73nat · 01/03/2022 08:09

Hi ladies!
I'm SO bloated anyone else like that really early on? Also when did everyone get a pregnant on the digital I need to tell my consultant I'm pregnant for medication purposes but I'm reluctant too until I get a good digital ?

Foxella · 01/03/2022 08:09

Congratulations @DM1720 @Nict4214 @Frida9 @SimonSays87 welcome to the group! Hope youโ€™re doing well and feeling good ๐Ÿ˜Š

@Hjklasdfg @GodspeedJune @AmyEF Iโ€™ll definitely tell my mum in person, sheโ€™s coming up to visit (aka look after DS) next week so Iโ€™m sure Iโ€™ll tell her then.
I really donโ€™t have a preference this time, last time Iโ€™d have said girl but since having my boy Iโ€™d literally want nothing else! Heโ€™s the most incredible little man ๐Ÿฅฐ I also used to think that twins would be amazing, but since having a baby Iโ€™ve absolutely no idea how people manage twins ๐Ÿ˜‚ my heart would totally sink if they told me there was more than one ๐Ÿ˜ซ no idea why but Iโ€™m thinking it might be a girl this time ๐Ÿค”

@Annny27 Iโ€™m totally the opposite at the moment, Iโ€™m all about the sweet stuff and finding it far more difficult to be healthy with it! Although absolutely if I was craving savoury Iโ€™d be straight over to McDโ€™s tho so not much better ๐Ÿ˜‚

@TheBirdintheCave donโ€™t hold out on a line on a strip, there are far more things pointing to everything being fine and normal for you than not. Like @Kat668 said, they reach a point where they donโ€™t go any darker, Iโ€™ve got some one steps which show nowhere near as dark as the control line but thatโ€™s just as dark as they go. I donโ€™t expect much of them, they cost pennies so are hardly worth the amount of stress they cause.

Foxella · 01/03/2022 08:16

@ThinkingDifferent I had a scan last time at 6+1 but measured 6+3. There was a blob with a flickering heartbeat, it was incredibly emotional to see but I was very prepared that there wouldnโ€™t be a heartbeat if I was a day or two out the other way. I was really anxious and just needed to know there was something developing, so if thatโ€™s what you want from it then stick with next week. I think 8 weeks you get what looks like a gummy bear and 10 weeks looks much more baby like.

I used an app called Pregnancy+ to track and it shows you what the baby looks like week by week, it also has a section where you can see a sample ultrasound from each week too

OP posts:
TheBirdintheCave · 01/03/2022 08:20

What do we think of this :/ 18dpo I think is a little darker than 15dpo... but it isnโ€™t as dark as the control yet.

Had to skip 16 as Iโ€™d run out of tests so 17 and 18 are a new batch.

I never bothered doing extra testing with my son as the FRER line I had at 14dpo with him was nearly the same colour as the control.

Due late Oct ๐ŸŽƒ - early Nov ๐ŸŽ‰
Foxella · 01/03/2022 08:27

Congratulations @mary3388 hope youโ€™re feeling excited as well as the nerves! Itโ€™s such an anxious time but Iโ€™m determined to enjoy it too ๐Ÿ˜Š

@73nat yes to the bloat ๐Ÿ˜ซ Iโ€™m on the comfy leggings already! I would think that telling your consultant sooner would be better if you have medication to change but it depends on what it is of course. Youโ€™re definitely pregnant ๐Ÿ˜Š

Speaking of which, Iโ€™ll bite the bullet and call the midwives today, time to make this real ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Iโ€™m also on medication which is ok to take in pregnancy but might need monitoring. I just want to know a proper due date to pop on the calendar!

OP posts:
Foxella · 01/03/2022 08:30

@TheBirdintheCave I can definitely see that todays is darker ๐Ÿ˜Š donโ€™t expect them to ever get as dark as the controlโ€ฆ those strips are very different from FRERโ€™s

OP posts:
TheBirdintheCave · 01/03/2022 08:41

@Foxella Thanks :) It's (in part) the stupid FRER's that have made me feel so rubbish about this pregnancy really as the lines were intensely faint (I couldn't photograph them) even when the ClearBlue line was obvious and the digi said 'pregnant' Confused.

Five weeks today. Now on to the countdown to six. My friend is six weeks tomorrow and I'm so jealous of her being a week ahead Blush

I hope your phone call goes well :)

CurbsideProphet · 01/03/2022 08:49

@GodspeedJune I've been signed off work by my GP and given anti sickness and anti reflux drugs to see if they help. It's 24/7 at the moment. Never felt anything like it.

TheBirdintheCave · 01/03/2022 09:06

@CurbsideProphet Sorry to hear that :( I hope the meds help!
