I donโ€™t know when Iโ€™m due, Iโ€™ve not had a period since DS was born but I got 1-2 weeks on a Clearblue digi this morning which puts me sometime late October or early November (I think!)
Feels like Iโ€™m too far behind the October group but too early for a November oneโ€ฆ anyone due a similar time and want to join me? Would love to have some company ๐Ÿ˜Š

@TheBirdintheCave I can definitely see a progression!!! I'm also willing the days until I can get a scan. I have to travel to Spain for work next week so I think it will be 7 weeks before I have a scan, unless they can squeeze me in next Friday. It feels like a lifetime away! I have a blood test today so fingers crossed my hcg levels are looking ok...

@CurbsideProphet oh no!! That sounds horrendous - hope you can get some rest and start to feel better soon...

TheBirdintheCave · 01/03/2022 09:15

@99pctpractice Good luck with your bloods :D Very exciting that you get to travel for work! I've only been to Spain once but thought it was very beautiful and the food was amazing. Shame about missing out on the sangrias Wink but a baby is definitely way better Grin Travelling will definitely make the days go faster at least :)

And thanks :) I don't know if I'll keep going with the tests or just leave it now. If I can get bloods done then I might just put them away as that will tell me much better what's going on than any lines can.

Foxella · 01/03/2022 09:23

@CurbsideProphet sorry youโ€™re having a rough time ๐Ÿ’ I hope that the medication helps and youโ€™re feeling better soon, thereโ€™s a few different ones they can try but that sounds horrible night and day ๐Ÿ˜•

My trust has a dedicated maternity booking phone number. Iโ€™m currently number 5 in the queue ๐Ÿ˜‚

@Foxella Wow, interesting to get an idea of how many other people are pregnant right now in your area :) Ours is an e-form.

Foxella · 01/03/2022 09:51

Well it wasnโ€™t too long a wait, itโ€™s obviously a very organised system! They took my details and gave me appointment dates for my booking appt and 12 week scan already! So different from last time, itโ€™s a much bigger/busier area that Iโ€™ve moved to.

They were happy taking my guess at dates for now, Iโ€™m happy with that, Iโ€™d rather go for a private scan for the first one rather than it feel all medical. The place we went before was so lovely (we had a few there as it was lockdown and couldnโ€™t have partners to NHS appointments). I think itโ€™s beginning to sink in now ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Thanks guys @Annny27 @TheBirdintheCave & @Foxella that has reassured me. Will leave the scan date as it is & go in with faith. @Foxella I have downloaded the pregnancy+ app, what a great recommendation thank you.

TheBirdintheCave · 01/03/2022 10:14

@Foxella I think our children might be similar ages as mine was a mid pandemic pregnancy too :)

73nat · 01/03/2022 12:01

@Foxella oh glad not just me! I'm nervous to say anything as I had a very early loss a few months ago so I'm worried I'll get excited tell the consultant and then have to say oh actually not! It's a thyroid medication which needs monitoring x

AmyEF · 01/03/2022 12:15

Anyone else going through the - "is there really a baby in there" phase?

I really feel great today!

TheBirdintheCave · 01/03/2022 14:14

@AmyEF Yes. I have nausea in the mornings but it goes away by lunch time then I'm left just feeling pretty normal.

I remember with my first baby I had days when I didn't have any symptoms at all and I would have mini breakdowns about it but they always came back.

I so hope this nausea gets worse.

TheBirdintheCave · 01/03/2022 15:47

So my husband got through to the EPU as instructed by the email midwife. They apparently said that they only deal with emergencies (to which my husband replied 'I think my wife's suggestion that she should just get an abortion because she knows the baby won't make it is a mental health emergency'). He asked for a blood test to see if my HCG is going up but apparently they only offer scans so now I have one of those booked for next week and I feel even worse :(

Now I feel like I'm bothering everyone, stealing a scan from someone who needs it more and that there's no point in even keeping the appointment because even though I'll be six weeks on paper I don't have a 28 day cycle (it was 31 this time) and didn't implant at 8dpo so will probably be more like five and a half weeks max so surely they're not going to see anything?? And that's just going to make me feel even worse.

Tempted to tell him to just cancel it.

justanotherlaura · 01/03/2022 16:38

@TheBirdintheCave don't feel you're stealing anything from anyone, if you need this to feel better then it's worth it, hopefully it'll give you a little more hope

DM1720 · 01/03/2022 17:36

@TheBirdintheCave itโ€™s hard to know what to do. They may be able to measure and see baba but they probably wouldnโ€™t see a heartbeat before the 6 week mark. If you know that and donโ€™t expect a heartbeat then I donโ€™t think itโ€™s any harm going in. It might settle the nerves a bit.
My EPU have agreed to scan me early at 6 +4days. Im so tempted to book a private one at 6 weeks which would be next Friday. It would mean Iโ€™d have the scan before the weekend instead of on the following Tuesday with the EPU. Iโ€™m prob silly not waiting for the extra 4 days but I just want to see thereโ€™s a baby in there!!! This baby stuff makes us all a little crazy I think! Esp if youโ€™ve had losses! I love reading posts from people that havenโ€™t had any losses, their confidence and excitement about being pregnant makes me a little more hopeful too! Thatโ€™s the way we should all be but itโ€™s so hard!!

Annny27 · 01/03/2022 17:41

@dm1720 I have a 6+3 scan on Monday and already want to do a private one before haha ๐Ÿคฃ

AmyEF · 01/03/2022 17:50

This is my first baby and indeed I haven't had any losses but I have educated myself a lot about the risks and the realities. I actually never thought I would be able to get pregnant naturally because of previous diagnoses so counting my blessings I was so lucky and working hard everyday to create a positive cocoon for my baby to grow and flourish.

My thoughts go out to everyone who is struggling, is having complications or have suffered loss before, sending lots of positivity your way!

I honestly have started to believe in manifesting recently and where you channel your energy, what you put out there into the world, what you say out loud can happen.

Annny27 · 01/03/2022 18:09

@amyEF ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ I am trying to tell myself that I will be having my baby in October 2022 :D love that attitude ๐Ÿ’— it will be my first baby too (although have had two losses so technically 3rd pregnancy haha)

Have you booked an early scan?

disneygirl87 · 01/03/2022 18:11

Hi everyone!
Tentatively joining the group with a positive test and due date of 3rd November.

Previously had a MMC in September 21 at 12 week scan (baby stopped growing at 9 + 2) and so feeling very anxious.

Have been reading your messages for a few days and thought I'd join the group as it seems like a really supportive place. Crossing my fingers for a healthy pregnancy this time.
No major symptoms yet. Have had some cramps and sore boobs but not much else although it is still early days.

AmyEF · 01/03/2022 18:15

@Annny27 Yes! Keep saying it ๐Ÿฅฐ your baby is coming. I booked an 8 week scan Thursday next week privately then my nhs 12 week is in April. How are you feeling?

DM1720 · 01/03/2022 18:59

@Annny27 do you think youโ€™ll book a private one or wait?
@AmyEF yes I love your positivity. I also like a bit of manifestation and positive visualisation. Trying to tell myself that worrying will just take up too much energy and I need all the energy for growing a baby and a healthy placenta!!

Bringonbaby3 · 01/03/2022 19:16

@TheBirdintheCave I think thatโ€™s great line progression! Itโ€™s still very early. Iโ€™m further ahead and my lines still donโ€™t go as dark as the control line and some days look lighter and then darker again (probably should stop testing!!). I would go for the scan but donโ€™t expect to see much. If thereโ€™s no heartbeat they will probably bring you back for a follow up scan a couple weeks after that and hopefully that will show more!

I finally registered with the midwives today! Got a txt appointment through very quickly. Itโ€™s in 2 weeks and I will be 8+1. It suddenly feels very soon! Still nervous I wonโ€™t make it that far but my nausea and symptoms are definitely ramping up :(

My husbands going to Cyprus for the rest of the week on business so Iโ€™m on my own doing school runs with a 3 and 5 year old and working in the days! Dreading it as itโ€™s hard enough when heโ€™s here but now have to do it all alone whilst also feeling sick/anxious! Want to fast forward to the weekend already.

Diamondbabe · 01/03/2022 21:21

@TheBirdintheCave if you don't want to take a scan on the NHS why not book a private scan Instead? That way you don't have any guilt in using the nhs and you get to have the scan also.

I booked an early scan and did see a heartbeat which was great.

If you feel your anxiety is making you consider an abortion have you thought about speaking to someone about this so it doesn't get worse? Might just be worth a quick conversation x

TheBirdintheCave · 01/03/2022 21:51

@Bringonbaby3 Thatโ€™s good to hear that your lines arenโ€™t control dark either :) Iโ€™ve put mine away now and all of the oneโ€™s Iโ€™ve already taken are away in a box. If I feel like it I might do one more in four or five days but hopefully by then I wonโ€™t feel like I need to.

I will probably have the scan unless anything bad happens in the meantime. I still feel guilty though ๐Ÿ˜ข I definitely wonโ€™t see a heartbeat as it will be far too early for that but hopefully there will be at least something there ๐Ÿ˜•

Iโ€™m sorry your husband has to go away โ˜น๏ธ Hopefully youโ€™ll be so busy that the time will go by really quickly. Iโ€™m glad you have your first appointment to look forward too as well ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Iโ€™m โ€˜gladโ€™ your symptoms are getting worse! ๐Ÿ™‚

TheBirdintheCave · 01/03/2022 22:00

@Diamondbabe Other than mum and my husband thereโ€™s no one else I could talk to which is why I wrote to the hospitalโ€™s email-midwife in the hopes that they might have someone who dealt with mental health but it just doesnโ€™t seem to be a thing ๐Ÿ˜•

We are planning on booking a private scan but for if I get to 7+5 (the weekend closest to 8 weeks) because I wanted there to actually be something to see. I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ll get that far though.

Mochii · 01/03/2022 22:13

They do have mental health support teams for pregnant people but I donโ€™t think they would offer that this early, although I might be wrong. You could speak to your GP and ask them for a referral?
