I donโ€™t know when Iโ€™m due, Iโ€™ve not had a period since DS was born but I got 1-2 weeks on a Clearblue digi this morning which puts me sometime late October or early November (I think!)
Feels like Iโ€™m too far behind the October group but too early for a November oneโ€ฆ anyone due a similar time and want to join me? Would love to have some company ๐Ÿ˜Š

Good luck in your anomaly scans everybody! Like you, i'm feeling nervous about it now that it's getting closer (Friday) and trying not to let my mind go there too much. It's hard when you aren't feeling movement yet - I'd love a sign that he/she's still in there!! Keeping everything crossed ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป xx

AbbiL0u · 08/06/2022 21:05

@Anonn44 really hope it goes well, I also feel the same! I donโ€™t feel pregnant at the minute which isnโ€™t a nice feeling, just getting the occasional muscle/round ligament pain which reminds me! Let us know how Friday goes, Iโ€™m sure it will all be great! xx

kmbegs · 11/06/2022 08:00

@Anonn44 how was your scan? I had mine yesterday too and was pretty terrified, it went okay but they couldn't see everything because of how baby was lying so I need to go back in two weeks. Sigh. Hope yours went well.

Anonn44 · 11/06/2022 12:47

Hi @kmbegs I was scared too but it went very well. They had to make me do some funny manoeuvres on the bed so that they could measure the head, but we got there in the end. It was awesome to see such well formed little feet and tiny toes - so much detail even though a foot is only 2cm long!! โ™ฅ๏ธ I found out my fibroid has grown though, so need to see a consultant about that. And at the end, she told us it's a girl! ๐Ÿ’๐ŸŽ€โ™€๏ธ Do you want to find out the sex or leave it as a surprise? x

GodspeedJune · 15/06/2022 16:22

Hi ladies, I think a few of us had a scan on Friday! We had ours too, the sonographer said she was happy with all the measurements, although when I got home and looked at them it seems the babyโ€™s stomach measurement is at the top of the scale. Iโ€™m going to have a word with the midwife next time I see her. I was a big baby so could be that, but Iโ€™ve also gained quite a bit of weight in this pregnancy despite never having issues with keeping healthy before.

The main thing is that all the checks went well. We found out we are having a little girl, too!

A bit of a pain that you need to go back again @kmbegs , Iโ€™m sure it will be fine and if nothing else another chance to see your little one. I think itโ€™s quite common for babies to be either too comfortable or complete fidgets that make it hard to take the measurements. We had 3-4 attempts before the sonographer managed to do the head circumference.

Glad your scan went well too @Anonn44 ! Congratulations on your little girl! Yes the detail is amazing, isnโ€™t it? I hope your consultant appointment comes through promptly and theyโ€™re able to offer reassurance about the fibroid.

Has anyone else been able to see baby moving from the outside yet? Iโ€™ve been feeling movement for a couple of weeks now but was shocked to be able to actually see it today!

Anonn44 · 16/06/2022 22:59

@GodspeedJune that's amazing that you are not only feeling but also SEEING baby's movement from the outside! Is this your first pregnancy? Were u a bit freaked out? I just can't imagine it yet - still not felt anything but midwife said could be 24weeks for some first-timers xx

GodspeedJune · 17/06/2022 13:14

@Anonn44 Yes I was shocked to be able to see her moving from the outside a couple of days ago. Itโ€™s my first pregnancy. The movements felt a bit weird when they started but more in a โ€˜is that the baby?!โ€™ way. Iโ€™m more used to it now and quite enjoy it. Family are very much enjoying feeling her too, my dsis now greets my belly rather than me!

The movements feel a bit like being flicked from the inside or your tummy doing a flip when nervous. A good time to try is sitting quietly after a meal or before going to sleep.

justanotherlaura · 17/06/2022 17:44

How exciting! My husband is desperate to feel something! I felt a kick 2 nights ago on my hand but it was just the one so by the time he rushed up the stairs baby had stopped again. I'm going to be watching my bump all night now to see if it moves lol

Anonn44 · 01/07/2022 00:08

Time is flying by at a scary rate now! How is everybody doing? And pelvic girdle pain? I think I had my first experience of it for a day and a half last week (literally couldn't get my body out of bed or put weight on my left leg, it was bizarre and scary!) but then it disappeared! I'm just putting it down to a lot of growth and stretching that week. xx

Kirsike · 01/07/2022 09:12

@anonn44 I was literally just thinking starting a thread on the pgp. 24wks yesterday and doing generally well but last week or so have had odd lower abdomen pain. Pretty sure it was gas at first but then it kind or changed so done some googleing (as one shouldn't!) and found that it could be pgp ๐Ÿ˜ญ ftm here so no clue if and when to contact mw or gp about this..
Other than that starting to panic that I've yet to start buying anything ๐Ÿ˜…

Anonn44 · 01/07/2022 14:29

When I had it for those couple of days it was very low down pain (basically the pubic bone!) but was affecting my hip and ability to walk, sit down on the toilet or get up from lying down!! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ I'm so glad it passed quickly, as some colleagues have talked about being on crutches and really sore through most of their pregnancies, so if I luck out by only experiencing the odd day of it, I'll take that! ๐Ÿคž๐ŸปJust to be safe, though, I've booked a one off pregnancy assessment with a physio just to check I'm doing things right and know what future signs to be aware of. Xx

Juke1 · 02/07/2022 09:28

Feel like time is going more quickly now! Iโ€™m 22 weeks today. Still feel well! Having some frustrating issues with controlling blood sugars (I have type 1 diabetes). My team seem ok with things but I think I have higher expectations on myself.

Has anyone else started buying stuff? Iโ€™ve got over my fear of jinxing things and started picking bits up (clothes, crib, steriliser). Canโ€™t believe how cheap some stuff is on Marketplace! Very easy to get carried away once Iโ€™ve started though ๐Ÿ˜†

Anonn44 · 02/07/2022 21:27

I've been really impressed with the condition and price of things on Facebook marketplace too! I've bought a few bits but I need to find time to properly research the big stuff like prams and car seats, and cloth nappies! It looks likes a whole new daunting education so far. ๐Ÿฅด

Anonn44 · 06/08/2022 09:49

How is everyone? Time is moving fast! Week 28 now. I have my anti-D immunoglobulin soon - anyone had that? Did u have a very sore bum afterwards? I need to drive to work straight after, but the midwife did say it's a rather large needle in the bottom! ๐Ÿ˜ฏ๐Ÿ‘

Annny27 · 06/08/2022 13:18

@Anonn44 I wont lie it does hurt haha
But it's only sore whilst the stuff is going in (its stingy medication that hurts vs the actual needle in my opinion)

But I drove after not problem as it is only a bit stingy whilst being injected :)

Anonn44 · 06/08/2022 13:37

@Annny27 Ooooft! A big needle in the butt will be the least of our worries in the grander scheme of things but nonetheless, not pleasant. I will brace myself for the sting! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ xxxx

Pregnantpolly · 07/08/2022 12:21

Wait what @Annny27 @Anonn44 I never realised it was in the bum ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Anonn44 · 07/08/2022 14:07

๐Ÿคฃ Yes, apparently so! I think it'll be my first ever bum injection. Exciting times! ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Annny27 · 07/08/2022 14:30

Yep I have had a few previously and had two in my thigh and one in my bum haha! @Pregnantpolly @Anonn44

Joy's of our blood type ๐Ÿ˜‚

Annny27 · 19/08/2022 14:03

Ladies, 30 weeks and I'm so tired haha!

How are we all?

justanotherlaura · 19/08/2022 21:07

I can't believe it's 30 weeks already! I am feeling giant and my knees hurt and I've got carpal tunnel in my left hand but apart from that I'm feeling great lol!

Anonn44 · 31/08/2022 19:23

Week 31 and I have a really bad cough. It comes on strong, a proper coughing fit, and is really taking it out of me. My question is: when I cough hard like this, a bit of pee is escaping ๐Ÿ™ˆ I've never experienced that before. Do u think it's very early in pregnancy to be experiencing "stress incontinence" like this?

justanotherlaura · 31/08/2022 19:55

Nope I've had it for a good few weeks now :( I think I'm carrying quite low and baby likes to have it's head on my bladder a lot. I've just been wearing liners and that's helped apart from one time where I totally flooded my pants and had to run off and change. I'm doing my pelvic floor exercises but it's still happening at least once every day

DM1720 · 31/08/2022 20:10

31 weeks tomorrow here! Canโ€™t believe it! Time is flying now. Iโ€™m definitely more achey the last few days, mainly pelvic pain. Itโ€™s not nice as itโ€™s a struggle now to walk anywhere! Tired too.
@Anonn44 def wouldnโ€™t say itโ€™s too early for that. Especially if youโ€™ve a bad cough. Hope you feel better soon!

Anonn44 · 31/08/2022 20:16

Thanks girls, that makes me feel better. I've just been reading and yes, incontinence can be really common in third trimester, even without a cough to make things worse! Hopefully it means our babies are nestling down where we need them to be for labour xx
