I donโ€™t know when Iโ€™m due, Iโ€™ve not had a period since DS was born but I got 1-2 weeks on a Clearblue digi this morning which puts me sometime late October or early November (I think!)
Feels like Iโ€™m too far behind the October group but too early for a November oneโ€ฆ anyone due a similar time and want to join me? Would love to have some company ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hello! Hope it's ok if I join? I had a bfp on 21 Feb after over a year of trying and two unsuccessful ivf rounds and I think I should be due about 29 oct based on my opks! I have a little boy who is nearly 3 and before him had a mmc. Weirdly the mmc didn't stress me out in my second pregnancy but this time around it is all I can think about. With the mmc, I started bleeding at about 10 weeks and when they scanned they could see that I hadn't really progressed beyond 5/6 weeks so this time I'm planning on getting early scans to try to avoid spending lots of time thinking I'm pregnant when I'm not.....next week I'm going to get a blood test at my fertility clinic - I'm guessing for hcg and hopefully progesterone too.

It was a huge surprise to get pregnant naturally after the ivf rounds were so demoralising (I'm 40 and I think my eggs are just a little bit old and tired) and I want to be excited but I'm mostly worried! Not that I'd wish it on anyone, but it's helpful to read others posts to know that I'm not the only one in a state of excitement/paranoia. It feels like a long wait until 12 weeks!! I'm going to tell people before then - it feels like that's the date marker only because of some weird social taboo around miscarriage, and I would want to tell anyone who I would want hugs from/cocktails with if it all goes wrong!

Not many symptoms so far other than boob tenderness and a little bit of nausea - as well as early morning wake ups, which I think might be more caused by the anxiety than by the pregnancy!!! Trying to focus on being relieved that I can still get pregnant...

I'd scheduled some acupuncture as I was going to start a new ivf cycle in March. Is anyone else having acupuncture or know if it's ok while pregnant? I'm hoping it might help me relax!!

Fingers crossed for all of our beans to be sticky !

TheBirdintheCave · 26/02/2022 14:14

@DogsAndBirds Iโ€™m glad itโ€™s stopped for you :) It seems to have stopped for me too. Havenโ€™t seen any since about 9am and I keep obsessively checking. I wish pregnancy tests would just tell you whether or not it was going to work out right at the start. I want this little one so badly ๐Ÿ˜ข

Fingers crossed for us all! ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป In an attempt to be more positive about it my husband and I bought a little baby gro today as thatโ€™s what we did at 4+4 with our son ๐Ÿ™‚

Weโ€™re planning on a private scan at 8 weeks. I have a longer cycle so, with our son, we went at 7 weeks but were only measuring 6 which was very scary until I worked out why later on.

@99pctpractice Welcome and congratulations! :)

TheBirdintheCave · 26/02/2022 15:21

Also, I find looking at this quite helpful and reassuring, just in case anyone is as worried as I am. I checked it every day with my last pregnancy though I didnโ€™t actually relax until he started kicking.

datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer

Itโ€™s a website that tells you how likely you are to NOT have a miscarriage. You can enter all sorts of variables too like age and number of previous pregnancies etc :)

Hello ladies. Room for one more?

Iโ€™m 5+1 after IVF. Iโ€™m scared Iโ€™m going to jinx myself by joining but that isnโ€™t true is it?

We had a series of bad news when we couldnโ€™t conceive naturally; endometriosis diagnosis, blocked Fallopian tubes, low egg reserve, which forced us on to the IVF pathway. It was really tough and I canโ€™t believe weโ€™re in the position of having some good news now.

We told our families about the IVF so they all already know about the pregnancy which has been really great and supportive.

We have an early scan at 7 weeks with the clinic so will be waiting with baited breath until then. Have really sore boobs and feel very tired, which could be the IVF meds Iโ€™m still on, and some low level cramping/ twinges. I will be due on 28th October if all goes to plan.

Hope you are all enjoying the early stages and being less of an anxious mess than I am!

TheBirdintheCave · 26/02/2022 22:48

@GodspeedJune Congratulations! Welcome to the group ๐Ÿ˜ฌ I am also an anxious mess, I think it comes with the territory when you want something so badly ๐Ÿ™‚

GodspeedJune · 26/02/2022 22:55

Thank you TheBirdintheCave and congratulations to you too! Although I wouldnโ€™t wish it on anyone else, Iโ€™m glad Iโ€™m not alone and at least we can be anxious mess together! Grin

Foxella · 27/02/2022 08:14

Congratulations @AmyEF @99pctpractice @GodspeedJune ! Lovely to have you join ๐Ÿ˜Š

@TheBirdintheCave I know that spotting is very common, but it doesnโ€™t make it any less worrying does it? I had a little last night after DTD but it doesnโ€™t seem to have carried on. Iโ€™ve got cramps this morning though and trying to tell myself not to worry, but thatโ€™s easier said than done! How are you feeling today?

I think Iโ€™ll book in early next week, I want to book an early scan for around 7-8 weeks so Iโ€™ve got something to look forward to but if the midwife is going to send me for an early dating scan then I donโ€™t want them to be close together. Arrrgghh, I promised myself Iโ€™d stay calm this time and Iโ€™m as bad as ever! I think itโ€™s that fear of getting hopes up just in case, and having no real way of knowing.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend and finding ways ti keep busy and distracted!

@Foxella I was doing ok but Iโ€™ve just had a few more tiny bits of red (so small I probably wouldnโ€™t have noticed if I wasnโ€™t obsessively checking) I donโ€™t know what to think now. I canโ€™t reassure myself by looking at the cheapies as I had to skip a day because I ran out. The new set is coming today :/ 15โ€™s had doubled in the strength of 14โ€™s though at least. Back to being terrified I guess ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Foxella · 27/02/2022 10:03

@TheBirdintheCave be careful comparing tests, theyโ€™re only reassuring if they show us what weโ€™re hoping for otherwise they just add to the worry! The new ones might be a different batch too, sometimes they have different amounts of dye so come up darker/lighter. I totally understand the obsession tho, especially until we can get something more definite. And I always thought the TWW was bad! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Anyone else experiencing nausea allll day long? I think Iโ€™m 5+6 but wonโ€™t know for sure until a scan, my periods are irregular.

I feel nauseous all of the time and not sure how to help it. I just opened the fridge and could smell an open Pack of ham and started wretching ๐Ÿคข

AmyEF · 27/02/2022 10:40

@GodspeedJune congrats! Snap - per natural cycles I am also due 28th October! You will not jinx yourself, what is meant to be will be and positive thinking manifests positive outcomes!

@Foxella thanks you! I have my 12 week scan at the hospital booked on 11th April but I can't wait till then I have a scan booked for 10th March (about 8 week mark) before I go on my honeymoon for 2 weeks!

@99pctpractice I definitely feel you on the early morning wake ups, I think a combo of the pregnancy symptoms, so uncountable in bed and a lot on my mind! Also I had acupunture to help with PCOS in the lead up to trying for a baby, it seemed to help me so I would recommend it, if nothing else but a great way to take 30-60 mins for yourself to fully relax. I also agree its a great feeling to know you can get pregnant, how lucky are we all :)

Foxella · 27/02/2022 10:41

@ChocolateCupcake123 Iโ€™m not that bad, but I get little waves throughout the day. Itโ€™s definitely not a just a morning thing! I know some people find the travel sickness wristbands really help, and trying not to let yourself have an empty stomach, just snack on plain things. Meat is something I went off completely for about 2 months last pregnancy, couldnโ€™t stand the taste or smell ๐Ÿคข I hope you can manage to take your mind off it for a while at least

Foxella · 27/02/2022 10:46

@AmyEF wow, double congratulations! Thatโ€™s a lovely time to have a scan too and the honeymoon will keep you busy almost until the 12 week one! You must live somewhere very organised that theyโ€™ve got the appointment sent out already, Iโ€™m not so hopeful my area will be that switched on ๐Ÿ˜‚ Itโ€™s nice to have some dates to look forward to things and count down the weeks ๐Ÿ™‚ even having the booking appointment helps feel like things are getting started

TheBirdintheCave · 27/02/2022 11:05

@Foxella I know but itโ€™s all I have to make me feel better โ˜น๏ธ I plan to stop at six weeks (if I make it that far). Iโ€™ve got one more FRER for tomorrow morning. My anxiety levels are just through the roof, Iโ€™ve cried twice today. It was almost better not being pregnant as I could have actually enjoyed myself this weekend instead of just constant worry. I almost feel like itโ€™s my turn to have a miscarriage and that I donโ€™t deserve to have two successful pregnancies in a row so obviously itโ€™s going to happen.

I said to my husband earlier it might be better to pretend that Iโ€™m not pregnant at all and just try to forget this baby even exists.

Bringonbaby3 · 27/02/2022 15:15

@TheBirdintheCave I remember you from the February conception thread! Sorry to hear youโ€™re having a stressful time :( I really hope there is a positive outcome. I know what you mean about preferring to not be pregnant over the stress of worrying about a miscarriage. Although I was devastated after my chemical, I felt relief when my period arrived as I knew it wasnโ€™t progressing and then felt like i could move on. Being in limbo and fearing the worst is hard. Iโ€™m glad youโ€™ve got your husband to support you.

Iโ€™m so exhausted today! I woke up at 4.30 needing to pee and couldnโ€™t get back to sleep. Iโ€™ve booked myself in for an early scan next weekend eeek! Really hoping I make it to that. 6 days to goโ€ฆ.

Bringonbaby3 · 27/02/2022 15:16

Anyone else still not registered with midwives yet? I donโ€™t know why I canโ€™t bring myself to do it (I think irrational beliefs about jinxing it!). Think I will do so after my scan next weekend if all okay.

GodspeedJune · 27/02/2022 15:19

Thank you for the congratulations Foxella and same to you! Smile I had quite a bit of cramping last night so of course consulted Dr Google. One of the causes can be DTD! Itโ€™s something to do with sperm having prostaglandins. So that could explain your cramps today.

TheBirdintheCave When I was having my little meltdown last night about cramps I read somewhere not to panic unless you have strong or regular cramps, and blood like a period, rather than spotting. Please try not to panic (said by a true panicker)! Nothing you do or donโ€™t do will change the outcome and itโ€™s the little devil on your shoulder telling you that you donโ€™t deserve this.

Thank you AmyEF and congratulations to you too! Great to have a due date buddy! Grin The scan before honeymoon sounds like a great idea, then you can relax and enjoy yourselves.

GodspeedJune · 27/02/2022 15:22

Bringonbaby3 I registered yesterday evening, a week after testing positive. Same as you, I didnโ€™t want to jinx anything and ideally wanted to wait until after the 7 week scan, but as thatโ€™s a couple of weeks away I didnโ€™t want to leave it too late to get into the NHS โ€˜systemโ€™. Sorry about your chemical but congratulations for this time Flowers

CurbsideProphet · 27/02/2022 16:37

@GodspeedJune I think we've been on an IVF thread together ๐Ÿ’ I'm just about a week ahead of you.

theblueflowers · 27/02/2022 16:50

@Bringonbaby3 I haven't yet registered for the same reason! I had a miscarriage in Dec and it was heartbreaking to receive appointment letters after it all happened. I'm thinking of waiting till 7 weeks.

GodspeedJune · 27/02/2022 16:55

Hello again Curbside Congratulations! Great to see you on this section, are you as petrified as I am feeling? Hopefully we can all support each other, especially through the early weeks. When is your early scan with your clinic?

Mine should be in a couple of weeks but it isnโ€™t booked yet. After so much intervention and medication it feels very odd to have to wait weeks for the next step, doesnโ€™t it?

CurbsideProphet · 27/02/2022 18:10

@GodspeedJune yes I'm very anxious too. I've been here before and unfortunately no further than the early scan. I've got less than 2 weeks to wait (mins will be done at 7.5 weeks this time). I've had a small bleed, a bad UTI, and now terrible nausea / heartburn. It's hard to distract myself when I feel so ill ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

73nat · 27/02/2022 19:48

Hi I got a BFP today after 6 months of trying. My app says I'd be due early November. I got a "not pregnant" on a digital but two BFP on the early detection tests has anyone else had that?

theblueflowers · 27/02/2022 19:51

@73nat congratulations! The digital tests require a higher level of HCG for them to pick up a positive, so you are probably just a bit too early. Do you know where you are in your cycle?

73nat · 27/02/2022 19:58

@theblueflowers the first day of my last period was 3rd Feb, results below they are faint but instant!

Due late Oct ๐ŸŽƒ - early Nov ๐ŸŽ‰
