I donโ€™t know when Iโ€™m due, Iโ€™ve not had a period since DS was born but I got 1-2 weeks on a Clearblue digi this morning which puts me sometime late October or early November (I think!)
Feels like Iโ€™m too far behind the October group but too early for a November oneโ€ฆ anyone due a similar time and want to join me? Would love to have some company ๐Ÿ˜Š

@Bringonbaby3 can you book online - that way you could keep checking if it looks like theyโ€™re getting booked up and go for it.

What vitamins is everyone taking? I wasnโ€™t expecting to be pregnant so hadnโ€™t been taking folic acid which has been worrying me. Iโ€™ve got a couple of boxes of post natal pregnacare which seem to have everything in them, theyโ€™ll be ok to use up wonโ€™t they??? I know that sounds like a stupid question but the post natal thing is just a branding thing isnโ€™t it?!

@foxella Read the back and aslong as rhey have 400ug of folic acid and vitamin D they will be fine!

Foxella · 22/02/2022 20:14

@Annny27 thank you, yes they have vitamin D and 400 folic acid. And a whole load of other stuff of courseโ€ฆ theyโ€™re even in date still! I canโ€™t do anything about not taking folic acid earlier but Iโ€™ve been taking the vitamins since I got my positive test so I hope thatโ€™ll be ok

@Anny27 isn't it awful that finally getting pregnant is the aim, but then it's so frightening ๐Ÿ˜ฉ Like you said, we know far too much about the awfulness of life.

I'm feeling so nauseous and my poor digestive system feels awful. I've also had a bit of brown spotting. I'm not allowing myself to consult Dr Google as that won't bring me any comfort at all ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

ThinkingDifferent · 22/02/2022 23:35

I also only started taking folic acid once I tested positive last week. Couldn't resisit the urge yesterday so took a clear blue & it said 2-3 weeksSmile which is exactly what I thought.

Bringonbaby3 · 23/02/2022 06:09

@Foxella sounds like those vitamins are fine! Iโ€™m still taking the conception ones as I still have 30 left and this will be my last pregnancy so might as well use them up! Will move on to pregnancy ones afterwards. Just to reassure you though that my daughter was a surprise and I wasnโ€™t taking vitamins with herโ€ฆall turned out fine :) Just starting them as soon as you know is all you can do and thereโ€™s a lot of women in that situation.

Annny27 · 23/02/2022 08:47

I am really struggling with eating in the mornings. After about 12 I am hungry for everything but breakfast is like ๐Ÿคข๐Ÿคข๐Ÿคข

Probably psychological but I just keep gagging trying to eat my toast haha

@curbsideprophet your cervix is probably irritated by all the hormones (and cyclogest if you are using it!) So I wouldn't worry but I would maybe speak to your clinic. I think they will say brown spotting no issues but if it has any colour they may want to see you xx

DogsAndBirds · 23/02/2022 08:59

Hope Iโ€™m not too late to the party!

First timer here, got my BFP on Valentineโ€™s Day, and think looking at dates I will be due the last week of October.

Had spotting the last few days but GP and EPAU have just said to wait and see as itโ€™s too early to do anything yet. Thankfully it seems to only be a little bit, but was still a scare.

Boobs are killing - only symptom so far!

CurbsideProphet · 23/02/2022 13:12

@Anny27 my clinic won't do anything until the early scan at 7 weeks. Saw my GP today as I feel so sick and she said to rest and call back if I get extreme pain / concerning amounts of bleeding. There wouldn't be anything to see on a scan at this stage anyway. Don't you wish they would invent a way of knowing if everything was ok or not in the early stages๐Ÿ˜ฌ

kate288 · 23/02/2022 14:09

Hi all, I'm due around the 25th of October all being well ๐Ÿ˜Š but also cautiously optimistic as we experienced a loss prior to DD1. She will be almost 4 when #2 comes along ๐Ÿคž feels very odd to be pregnant again and already worrying about the practicalities of juggling 2 kids and FT work ๐Ÿ™ˆ

BR96 · 23/02/2022 14:34

Hi everyone!! I'm not 100% on my due date yet, found out last week on the day I was supposed to get my implant fitted that I was pregnant!
full of different emotions right now, had to have a scan yesterday due to worrying pains on my left side. Nurse thinks i'm around 5 weeks so ill be due towards the end of October beginning of November!

Wishing everyone the best of luck and happiest of pregnancies xxxx

Foxella · 23/02/2022 15:22

Hi @DogsAndBirds @kate288 @BR96 and congratulations! Welcome to the group ๐Ÿ˜Š

@Bringonbaby3 thanks for your reassurance, Iโ€™m straight into the guilty feelingsโ€ฆ DS took a while to conceive and Iโ€™d been on vitamins for months, eating healthy and exercising. Between lockdowns, having a baby and working full time Iโ€™m nowhere near as good condition this time around! Totally unprepared, would have liked to have worked at shifting the last bit of weight to be back at what I was before DS and generally got myself fit and healthy. But this baby has other plans so Iโ€™ll just have to do my best from now on.

Iโ€™d started couch to 5k to get myself back into exercise again, I used to be a rubber and a gym nut until a couple of years ago. I was on week 4 but donโ€™t know how sensible it would be to continue? I know you can keep going with what youโ€™re used to but this is (gently) increasing it. Iโ€™d like to carry on, but only if itโ€™s safe???

Foxella · 23/02/2022 15:27

@CurbsideProphet @DogsAndBirds I hope that the spotting eases up for you, even when you know it can be normal itโ€™s just another thing to add to the worries! Itโ€™s a common โ€˜symptomโ€™ but I think weโ€™d all rather take the nausea at this point - at least it feels like a sign that things are progressing in these early days!

I'm due November 4th, going by LMP! Miscarried last time at 10w so very nervous, but will go for a 6w scan to hopefully reassure me as last time didn't hear the heartbeat. This is IVF attempt so just so happy to finally be able to join these kind of forums!

Bringonbaby3 · 23/02/2022 16:51

Welcome to the newcomers! @BR96 that must have been a big shock. Hope youโ€™re okay with it?

@Foxella not sure what to suggest about exercise. I donโ€™t have that dilemma as didnโ€™t do much before !! Maybe keep it going at same/lower pace during first trimester? I think exercise is good though and does help with labour. I was very active in my first pregnancies (yoga, lots of waking) and I think that helped me have an easier delivery. I now have a 3 and 5 year old so no formal exercise but always on my feet! Iโ€™m too anxious to do too much at this stage though.

Foxella · 23/02/2022 20:45

Hi @Tigerlily7590 congratulations! Sorry itโ€™s been a tough journey to get here, I hope that this time you have a happy and healthy pregnancy ahead โค๏ธ

@Bringonbaby3 I think youโ€™re right, Iโ€™ll just take it easy. I donโ€™t want to stop completely, I donโ€™t have the time (or weather!) to do long walks just now and I want to keep active. I can imagine a 3 and 5 year old being good exercise by themselves, Iโ€™m exhausted with a 1 year old (heโ€™s just started taking a couple of steps this week, as if he wasnโ€™t fast enough at crawling ๐Ÿ˜ซ๐Ÿ˜‚)

Diamondbabe · 23/02/2022 20:51

@CurbsideProphet how far gone are you? I had a private scan at 6weeks and saw a heartbeat so you can see early on x

Diamondbabe · 23/02/2022 21:02

@Foxella definitely exercise is proven to be great for the baby so I'd say go for it. I was at the gym until 36 weeks pregnant with my first and only stopped as lockdown shut them. Granted I know I'm a nutter lol but it just made me feel so much better and keeping fit meant I was still really mobile and active right up until I gave birth. Definitely listen to your body but healthy eating and exercise is definitely encouraged x

CatLady1994 · 23/02/2022 21:40

Hey everyone! Hope I can join the club! I got my BFP last weekend, and I'm due on 29th October based on LMP!

This will be my first pregnancy so super excited but I'm filled with nerves/anxiety! I've decided I'm going for an early scan when I'll be 8 weeks as don't think I'll be able to wait until 12.

Wishing everyone safe & happy pregnancies!

Kat668 · 23/02/2022 21:47

@Foxella I actually asked about couch to 5k to my health visitor on my last pregnancy! She said I should stop, but I was only at week two and didn't do much exercising before that. She said it's what you're already use to and because the couch to 5k increases it would be wise to leave it. So perhaps just stay at the running rate you are now without the increases? :)

CurbsideProphet · 23/02/2022 22:31

@Diamondbabe 5 weeks 4 days. This is an IVF pregnancy so I'm booked for a scan with my clinic at 7 weeks 5 days. Sadly didn't get the heartbeat in previous IVF pregnancy, so I prefer to wait the 2 weeks so there's no uncertainty.

Hjklasdfg · 24/02/2022 07:54

Hey โ˜บ๏ธ Can I join?

I did join the October one but it makes me feel better reading about those closer to similar due dates. Different calculators say Iโ€™m due 23/24 October I think cos my cycles were always long before I took clomid and this pregnancy happened after I stopped clomid so not sure how long my โ€˜usualโ€™ cycle is.

I booked in for a 7 week scan as weโ€™ve been trying over three years and Iโ€™m pretty anxious!

Congratulations to you all ๐Ÿ’•

Foxella · 24/02/2022 07:56

@Diamondbabe @Kat668 thank you, I think Iโ€™ll just carry on really gently with it. It feels crazy to stop completely, Iโ€™ll just tone it down even if the running bits are really really slow! I can keep an eye on my heart rate and maybe do each week several times over. Iโ€™m not going to be trying to lose weight, just trying to be fitter and healthier! (This will go out the window in about 2 weeks if sickness and exhaustion come along of course ๐Ÿ˜ซ)

Congratulations @CatLady1994 and welcome! I think 8 weeks is a lovely time for a scan and nicely breaks up the time until the 12 week one! How are you feeling so far?

@CurbsideProphet thatโ€™s only two weeks away now, itโ€™s the longest two weeks of course but worth it to be sure, I hope you can plan some nice treats to help pass the time and give yourself other things to look forward to to help pass the time.

Woke up to a lot of snow this morning, very glad to be working from home!

And morning @Hjklasdfg congratulations to you as well, of course youโ€™re very welcome to join ๐Ÿ˜Š I know what you mean, thereโ€™s quite a difference in a few weeks of pregnancy! Wow youโ€™ve had a long journey to get here!

Hjklasdfg · 24/02/2022 08:05

@Foxella thank you โ˜บ๏ธ

Yeah weโ€™ve been trying for a long time and went to the fertility specialist last year who said I needed to lose weight for clomid which I did but even though clomid made me ovulate we wasnโ€™t successful (wasnโ€™t ovulating before due to PCOS) Then had my appointment in January and was told I need to lose more weight to be eligible for IVF so we decided to have a break and surprisingly got a positive test! So happy but also so anxious. Have the early scan booked in at 7 weeks.

Only told one friend and husband has told his mum so itโ€™s nice to have more people to speak to! โ˜บ๏ธ
