I donโ€™t know when Iโ€™m due, Iโ€™ve not had a period since DS was born but I got 1-2 weeks on a Clearblue digi this morning which puts me sometime late October or early November (I think!)
Feels like Iโ€™m too far behind the October group but too early for a November oneโ€ฆ anyone due a similar time and want to join me? Would love to have some company ๐Ÿ˜Š

I have my 12 week scan tomorrow afternoon, I had a tiny bit of spotting last night, if it was anyone else I'd be saying it's nothing, it was tiny and pink but I don't think I'll be able to relax until tomorrow now. I'm now questioning every cramp I feel. Roll on 2pm tomorrow, fingers crossed

GAAJ04 · 17/04/2022 11:50

Hi everyone!!

Sorry if this is TMI but does anyone have any advise on how to soothe sore nipplesโ€ฆ mine are so painful right now :( thanks in advance :)

Yutes · 17/04/2022 14:01

@GAAJ04 a good bra that doesnโ€™t rub your nipples, I found a soft bra at night so my nipples donโ€™t rub against my top. And a wee bit of moisturiser on them after a shower. HTH

Pregnantpolly · 17/04/2022 14:13

@justanotherlaura

I have a scan tomorrow too so will be checking in to see how yours goes.

Any of you guys have any tips until how to speed time forward to 4.15 tomorrow? Booked a private scan for 13weeks(+2) because feeling anxious atm. Last scan was 2 weeks ago and measured behind so kinda antsy.

MooseBreath · 17/04/2022 14:53

Hello! I suspect I am due with my 2nd on Halloween, which is also my mom's birthday!

Definitely have a bump now, and the sickness appears to be fading.

Thank you, only 1 bra at the moment is semi comfy, I deffo need to invest in soft ones! X

Jfb23 · 17/04/2022 18:18

@GAAJ04 you could maybe try lanisoh or other nipple cream?

My scan is on Tuesday when I'll be 13+2. It's a strange feeling because I'm at the point where I don't feel pregnant. The sickness has stopped and my boobs are either not sore anymore or I'm just used to it so they don't feel sore. I saw a heartbeat at 9 weeks though so I'm not too worried, but the anxiety is just niggling away. I think it'll hit tomorrow and Tuesday I'll be a mess

GAAJ04 · 17/04/2022 18:44

@Jfb23 I was looking at nipple cream, a lot of them are advertised for breast feeding but i guess it does the same job!

I have my scan on Tuesday tooโ€ฆ I'll be 11+5! I can't wait to see little bubba xx

misslahx · 17/04/2022 18:49

@MooseBreath I'm due the same date and it is my dads birthday! How cool lol

justanotherlaura · 18/04/2022 15:54

Had my 12 week scan today, everything was fine except it was camera shy so not the best photo, turns out I'm 13 weeks so 4 days less to go than thought Smile

Due late Oct ๐ŸŽƒ - early Nov ๐ŸŽ‰
ThinkingDifferent · 19/04/2022 06:56

Awww congratulations @justanotherlaura what a lovely pic

DogsAndBirds · 19/04/2022 07:15

Congrats @justanotherlaura :)

Iโ€™m a natural back sleeper and have been trying to force myself to sleep on my side and have got a big U pillow to help. Really struggling to sleep on my side and keep waking up with a sore back (probably as Iโ€™m all twisted in the night and then wake up on my back anyway!). Anyone else having this issue or thatโ€™s been through this before and has any advice?!

Hope90x · 19/04/2022 10:33

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well ๐Ÿ’ so lovely to see all the little scan pics ๐Ÿ˜Š super exciting!

I have my 12wk NHS scan on Thursday, although according to my private Scan I will be 12+5 by then. It will be interesting to see if anything different comes from the NHS one.

In terms of symptoms, I got off pretty lightly with fatigue and very sore boobs from 4-8weeks. Thought I'd escaped the sickness but from week 8 I have been increasingly nauseous, started off just in waves but now it's lasting all day.
Does anyone else have experience of this? I can honestly barely move without wretching and although I never actually vomit, I feel constantly like I have a stomach bug starting ๐Ÿคข

kmbegs · 19/04/2022 11:21

@DogsAndBirds you can sleep on your back for a while yet I think! You only need to sleep on your side when the weight of the baby become an issue and I think it's not until about 20 weeks. No harm getting some practice in but I'm making the most of it for now. Also in my last pregnancy late on sometimes I just couldn't sleep on my side so would prop myself up a lot but be on my back and that was fine.

@Hope90x you and I are the same I have my 12 week scan on Thursday and according to my private scan I'll be 12+5 then. I am so nervous and excited about it I can't wait! I just can't wait. And I've also got the horrible all day nausea. The only thing that makes it better is eating but I've gained quite a few lbs already so from today I'm going to try to just put up with feeling sick more and eat less, losing the pregnancy weight last time was so hard so trying to suck it up but it's really hard. I'm also so tired, currently off to bed for a nap even though I'm meant to be working ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Hope90x · 19/04/2022 11:58

@kmbegs aww that's great โ˜บ๏ธ I'm excited to find out what comes from the NHS scan. This is my first pregnancy. The all day sickness is wearing thin and I'm also really worried about the weight gain lol. I've actually been signed off work because I'm feeling so poorly I really couldn't do my job. So well done you for sticking at it ๐Ÿ’

DogsAndBirds · 19/04/2022 12:19

@kmbegs thatโ€™s good to know :) I was told or read it was 16 weeks which is soon approaching so wanted to get it sorted by then!

kmbegs · 21/04/2022 18:26

@Hope90x how did you get on? Mine went really well and I was dated at 13 weeks so due date brought forward to 27 October. So relieved!

Hope90x · 21/04/2022 19:07

@kmbegs that's great news, so pleased for you!!

Funnily enough I was dated at 12+6 however my midwife advised to just keep due date the same? She said they don't tend to change due date unless it's over a week out. Oh well, I'm just relieved all is ok ๐Ÿ˜Š so good to see the little one moving around.

I had to have an internal scan as baby was hiding from the ultrasound ๐Ÿ™ˆ

DogsAndBirds · 22/04/2022 07:52

My jeans are starting to get a bit tight! Hoping my work trousers still fit on Monday morning!

No real visible signs of a bump apart from the it being a lot firmer at the front and possibly it's a bit more out? I think usually I would go in between my pelvis bones? Really odd to start looking at your body and thinking I'm sure it wasn't like that last week?!

Of course this may well be due to eating too many Easter eggs! (I didn't put any weight on in the whole of my first trimester- exactly the same at booking in and 12 week scan!)

Annny27 · 22/04/2022 09:29

Yeah my clothes are a bit tight too and have a slight tiny little buldge at bottom of tummy @DogsAndBirds

I am pretty slim though so maybe bit more noticeable. And work dresses are fitting tight because my boobs have grown haha

Pregnantpolly · 22/04/2022 09:47

@DogsAndBirds does your work have a specific maternity uniform or is it just a case of buying a bigger size? Work rolled out their new uniform back in January and the new trousers have a really elasticated waist so will be able to get away with it longer.

I had abs or at least the outline of them with flat stomach for the past few years. I'm not flabby and wider. No discernible bump though.

DogsAndBirds · 22/04/2022 10:57

@Pregnantpolly I'm a secondary school teacher so no uniform as such but very strict staff dress policy ๐Ÿ™„ Think formal office wear basically- men in suit and ties, women must wear blazers etc

Pre-Covid it wasn't too bad but since Covid office wear has disappeared from shops (understandably!) so finding tall maternity office wear is going to be hard!

ThinkingDifferent · 22/04/2022 11:20

@kmbegs oh my goodness, that's exactly what happened to me. Turns out my 12 week was measuring 13 and we have the same due date! My bump is already very visible and am struggling to fit in my normal clothes. Has anyone started wearing maternity clothes yet?

justanotherlaura · 22/04/2022 11:33

I've been in maternity jeans for 3 weeks! Totally just bloating at 10 weeks but my jeans were digging in so bad I decided to make the move early

kmbegs · 22/04/2022 12:16

@ThinkingDifferent oh wow great to have a due date buddy! And I guess if we go late we know why. This actually happened with my daughter, they said I was further along thank I thought I was and she was 15 days late so I'll be gracing for similar. Is this your first pregnancy?

My clothes are definitely feeling tight but no bump so not sure maternity clothes would fit, think I just need to stop wearing trousers for a while. Going to order some stuff though so I have it when the time comes. People say you show quicker with second so maybe won't be long until actually have a bump rather than just looking chubby ๐Ÿ˜‚
