Due late Oct 🎃 - early Nov 🎉

I don’t know when I’m due, I’ve not had a period since DS was born but I got 1-2 weeks on a Clearblue digi this morning which puts me sometime late October or early November (I think!)
Feels like I’m too far behind the October group but too early for a November one… anyone due a similar time and want to join me? Would love to have some company 😊

Hi everyone, hope you don’t mind me joining in.
I’m 12+5 with my third baby.
My 1st child DD is 3 years old.
My 2nd baby was still born at 24+3 back in November due to numerous issues.
We have been very anxious with this pregnancy, hence not joining this thread until now. I’ve had a NIPT done as my DS has trisomy 21. That came back as being very low risk thankfully. We’ve had our dating scan today and all looked good. We’re not out of the woods just yet though as we have a detailed heart scan (our DS has a very rare, serious and complicated heart defect) at 16 weeks then another at 20 weeks.
My due date is 30th October

I am now 12+4 weeks. Had a scan on Monday (private) and all good but saw the midwife today and I asked if she could try and find the heartbeat and she couldn’t.
Now I am all worried over it!!
anyone else had this?!

@SimonSays87 I would have thought it was quite early to hear the heartbeat? I didn't get offered it at my 12 week scan. I know my midwife warned me off any home heart beat scanners as it's often very difficult to pick up the heart beat early on.

From last experience, my midwife wouldn’t even attempt to listen to baby’s heartbeats until the 24 week check up. She said it can be very difficult to find and cause unnecessary stress and anxiety.
if your scan was ok and you’re not having any bleeding I would say you’re ok.

@Angelmama1121 welcome and I'm so sorry about your loss, that must have been so awful and must make this pregnancy so difficult as well. Great news about the NIPT though and not long until the first heart scan. Hopefully with the NIPT results everything will be okay with this pregnancy x

Hi girls, I just googled to see if I could find some company, and here you are! I'm literally due on Halloween itself 🦇🕷️🕸️ which I'm finding quite amusing. Only pregnancy symptoms so far are the tender boobs (from day 1!), lightheadedness and now (sorry!) soft and rather frequent green-tinged stools! I googled it and its apparently a thing, so I'm not concerned but will tell my midwife at appt mid May. We've been trying to conceive for 3 years with unexplained failure, and have suffered some heartache in that time so I think that's made us hesitant to get too excited even though first scan last week went well 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻. Havent told anyone yet. Nice to find this group xx

@Annny27 wow congratulations. Three years trying must have been so tough I really feel for you. It took us over a year and this is our second and I found it incredibly difficult. Hopefully you can enjoy it more now it's second trimester. I think everyone has different symptoms and a lot aren't pretty! Hopefully it passes soon.

Thanks @Annny27 . Yeah, 3 years was not expected and, at the age I am now, I thought we'd have our 2nd (and last!) baby by now but this is our 1st. I doubt a 2nd will ever happen now 😔The whole thing has taught me that some people get all the luck and are able to plan their life how they want it to be, whilst others get none and live in desperation. It's been an eye-opener. Some couples struggle in silence for years (way longer than 3!) and you'd never know. I suppose it's made me more sensitive when pregnancy/baby chat comes up 'cause we just never know what's going on behind closed doors. I hope we're onto a brighter chapter now, though, with this little halloween treat a-brewing! 🙏🏻🤞🏻✨✨❤️

Urgh… I’ve just been told I have a kidney infection and now on strong antibiotics.

anyone else had this in previous pregnancies? I may have to go to a&e tomorrow as my symptoms aren’t easing. So worried about what it’s doing to baby!!

@SimonSays87 hope you get better soon. What were your symptoms?

I had throbbing pain in my back (kidney) on right side and extreme fatigue.
went to walk in clinic, turns out I had a UTI without realising which has travelled to my kidneys.

Is anyone eager to reach 16 weeks so they can have a private gender scan? Or is everyone going to wait for the nhs 20 week one?

I was 16 weeks on Thursday and went for a gender scan on Thursday night 🙈😂

We initially were just going to wait until 20 weeks but driving home Thursday from work we just decided to book a slot and there was one available that night!

Made ordering some baby clothes that were in the sale/clearance sections a bit easier as there wasn't much unisex. (We are stocking up on bits as we see good deals)

We are telling immediate family about it being a boy but will be keeping it quiet until after the 20 week one. We haven't put it in social media that we are even having a baby yet!

@DogsAndBirds same it's our first too and we have barely told anyone! I think this good to wait and check at 20 weeks although if it's a boy it's pretty much guaranteed where as I think if they tell you it's a girl earlier, something could have been hiding that comes out at 20 weeks haha!

@Annny27 yeah that's what we thought! There was definitely something on the scan, so either three legs, very long arms or it's a boy 😂😂😂

I've told some at work but im starting to get a bump so not sure how much longer I can hide it!

14 weeks today and now, lying on my back feeling my tummy, from belly button down I can feel for the first time, it's harder, a definite bump. I'm unusually not bloated today. This is my second pregnancy and have a much more positive outset than the first. I may have imagined fluttering on Wednesday, just above my belly button... probably too high and something else. I'm excited this time round to feel movements, last time I found them freakish. Last time I had an anterior placenta and it was close to 20 weeks before I felt anything.

Are we still allowed to sleep flat on our backs?? (I am 15 weeks) it's so comfy lying on my back haha but I remember that you shouldn't after a certain date

@Bramblecrumble21 exciting you have felt fluttering! I have maaaaybe also felt the same a few days ago, can't be sure haha
