Hi all. So nice to see some pictures of scans 🥰 I’m finally up and about after the sickness bug. early hours of this morning my husband come down with it 😩 So with being a mummy to 2 girls, the house not being touched for 2 days, washing included, a now nurse to my husband who feels a lot worse than I did apparently, pregnant and I’m trying to sort out fence panels to put in our new communal garden with my neighbour. Hope you are all ok and the storm didn’t destroy all your gardens like mine. Xx

ShiningStarz · 19/02/2022 14:07

Oh gosh @Billymay does not sounds fun!!

@Carebear99 if you've had your NiPT results and already had scans you've nothing to be worrying about. It's all just anxiety leading up to an appt but I'm sure all will be fine !!

Yay @mummysept22 just fab!!

I'm 11 weeks on Monday and I all of a sudden feel bleugh ! Woke this morning and put on my jeans and they were so uncomfortably tight! So off they came!! I'm thinking in another week I might be in maternity jeans. Anyone else? I'm a size 10 but flabby round the middle. I'm short so in the bmi calculator I'm obese! Hate those things !!

Carebear99 · 19/02/2022 14:12

@Billymay wow you've had a lot on. We lost all of our front fence yesterday and I had to take it round the back in the wind.... that was fun.

@ShiningStarz I think you are right, my symptoms come and go so that worries me. My boobs have not really hurt at all. I'm not a side 10 sadly at the moment and I've lost 8kg during my pregnancy so far (nausea which comes and goes) so my clothes don't feel tighter and my boobs no bigger. I'm 11 weeks today (it tomorrow), I was dated forward a car last week.

ShiningStarz · 19/02/2022 14:15

Flip that's a lot of weight to lose @Carebear99 the symptoms ease off as the placenta takes over and your body gets used to the crazy change in hormones. In my last pregnancy I didn't have many symptoms. When your bumps starts growing it becomes more real I think!
I need to start eating better. Eating whatever until the hospital tell me I can't because of the gestational diabetes 🙈

@mummysept22 just responding to your NIPT questions from yesterday. You can get a different kind of NIPT if you go private (IONA or Harmony). It can be done at 10 weeks and it measures foetal DNA in your blood. It’s far more accurate (with almost no false positives) and can be done much earlier than what the NHS offer, so it really is a better option, but comes at an average price of about 400… So it really is weighing up what you can afford and what you want from your NIPT.

spierse · 19/02/2022 16:14

@Carebear99 currently 3rd of September but scan is on Tuesday so will see what they date me as, think it will be an August baby as Im high risk so likely to not go full term

Carebear99 · 19/02/2022 16:16

Regarding the nipt test I was offered it on the nhs, harmony one for £335 at my 12 week scan.

I had the IONA at 10+1 and even with my bmi of 35 I had 10% fetal fraction. I had the test last Mon and got the results on Fri.

Carebear99 · 19/02/2022 16:17

Private nipt cost £345 at a lovely local clinic

Tinadecember · 19/02/2022 17:36

Hi girls, just read through all 87 messages and so great to see that all bubbas are healthy!

9+4 here today, noticed that over the last 3 days or so after suffering non stop with horrendous sickness that I am starting to feel somewhat better! Obviously as a woman and an anxious pregnant momma, naturally the first reaction is to think that something must be wrong.

We had an early scan at 7+5 and saw a beautiful heartbeat but it's difficult regardless of already having reassurance to believe everything is okay when your body starts to feel not pregnant anymore!

Anyhow.. the point to this message, I decided to rent a doppler from Ana Wiz which arrived literally within 12 hours of ordering and I was under no illusion that the heartbeat could be real tricky to find at this stage, however, after 5 minutes of having a good old search I found our LOs beating heart at 164 bpm and suddenly feel a weight lifted from my shoulders.

I know dopplers are a sensitive topic, love them or hate them, for me I feel a stress has been taken away :)

Carebear99 · 19/02/2022 17:57

I bought a cheap doppler, £50 from amazon. I couldn't find the heartbeat even though I'm 11 weeks. I sent it back. I'm overweight with an inverted uterus, so I was not likely to find it but it was causing me anxiety

SkaterChick · 19/02/2022 18:58

Hey everyone, sorry I've been checked out. Still struggling with the HG.
Really lovely seeing everyone's scans (I had s brief scroll through this thread and the end of the previous)

Just wondering if anyone got their booking in app really late? I'm currently 9+5.
I'd had a letter with the appointment by this point in my previous preg before I mc.
This time ive got my screening clinic app (which is tomorrow) but no word on the booking in or 12 week scan. Wondering whether to chase it or not.

ShiningStarz · 19/02/2022 19:18

@SkaterChick could you not ask tomorrow when you have your screening appt?
I rang the clinic and they had my date assigned but just the letter hadn't been sent out. My clinic starts to sort out appt from when a pregnancy is 8 weeks based on fate last period you provide them when you refer yourself / gp refers.

SkaterChick · 19/02/2022 19:20

@ShiningStarz I didn't think to ask them tomorrow 🤦‍♀️ good idea!

MedbN · 19/02/2022 19:21

@ShiningStarz thank you. Scan went well measuring at 10+0 which is what I thought but LMP says 10+3. Could see little wriggles and heart flutters ♥️

madeleine85 · 19/02/2022 20:15

@Tinadecember totally agree with you. The Doppler thing is a personal choice, and as long as you aren’t using it in the 3rd trimester in lieu of medical advice I think it’s ok. I like using one every week or so for my own reassurance between the point symptoms lessen, and feeling kicks hasn’t started yet. Once I have a real bump and my DD is interested I’d like to use to to let her hear the heartbeat too, just for fun. To each their own and all that.

becky239 · 19/02/2022 20:19

Good evening ladies, just checking in! I have been so busy I have missed an entire thread. It's so lovely to see all of these scan pictures it is actually stations to feel more real now. I have my 12 week scan on Thursday so very excited about that, especially as I haven't had a reassurance scan this time around.

If anyone would like me to post a link to join the private Facebook group then please let me know

madeleine85 · 19/02/2022 20:21

Congratulations to everyone with scans yesterday, such lovely news. Also @Carebear99 getting the all clear on the screening is great! And a girl ❤️❤️. Sorry just catching up, I’ve probably missed a bunch!

I'm 11 weeks today and still waiting for my booking appt. I got my scan through about 10 days ago for the 10th March and I'll be nearly 14 weeks by then. I think they are really behind!
Carebear99 · 20/02/2022 05:24

Yes please can I have the Facebook group link @becky239

I'm 11 weeks, had booking appointment weeks ago, I've got my 12 week scan on Friday when I'm 11+5

Hi sorry for jumping on anyones post I’m new to this , just looking to see if anyones had similar situations and everything’s turned out fine. I’m 9 +3 had some bleeding throughout and scans etc and been normal but last night the bleeding was so heavy it was gushing from me with 1 or two clots (tmi sorry) I have no pain and dr checked my cervix and it’s still fully closed , she assured me she was happy for me to go home and go back Tuesday 22nd for another scan to check all is okay , I had just had a scan Saturday 19th 12pm and by 10pm that night this was happening , no pain or anything else yet just really paranoid about this now but dr has said it can happen and people go on to have healthy pregnancies but again can be sign of early miscarriage . Barely slept thinking about it

Thanks to anyone reading this.

Cluelessbeetroot · 20/02/2022 08:07

Hi again everyone, hope you’re all doing well.
I have been very lucky, not been sick at all, only mild nausea and boob tenderness. First pregnancy, got Nipt and scan booked for next Sunday, currently I am 9+3.
Is anyone still getting cramps ?
Throughout the day I get these twinges, they’re not very painful but definitely can feel them, and they are always on the right side.
Starting to get a bit paranoid about them.
