@TotoAnnihiliation ahahaha don’t worry story of my life. When do you find out?
Do you have a preference or not too bothered? ☺️
Because I'm impatient I've booked a private scan for 16 weeks which is 7th April. When are you finding out?

TotoAnnihiliation · 14/03/2022 14:49

@Bellebun22 I've got a DD already and feel it would be nice to have a boy this time. Although, it would be nice to reuse all DD clothes. I want to find out so I can pick a name. I found that helped me connect with DD once I could refer to her by name.

stimpyyouidiot · 14/03/2022 14:54

The gender scan here is about 75-80 quid so I'm not going to get one this time. Would love to find out but it's just really steep!

ShiningStarz · 14/03/2022 15:02

@stimpyyouidiot did you not have the harmony test done? That tells you the sex.
Sorry if I'm confusing you with someone else. There were so many on here that had the NIPT.

annlee3817 · 14/03/2022 15:17

@izzyleigh thanks for that, found one on Vinted and have ordered it, I hate maternity jeans, so if it means I can wear my normal ones I'll be so happy

Carebear99 · 14/03/2022 16:51

Don't the nhs tell you the sex? I've had the nipt

annlee3817 · 14/03/2022 16:56

NHS NIPT tests don't include the sex

Carebear99 · 14/03/2022 17:22

But don't they tell you at the 20w scan?

I'm pregnant with my second but my first was born in 2001 and we weren't told the sex then but I thought they told you at the 20w scan now?

Bellebun22 · 14/03/2022 18:04

@TotoAnnihiliation aw yes this is true, don’t think I could wait 9 months not knowing what we are having. If he is a boy you can dress him up as a girly for 6 months and he won’t be none the wiser haha

EverydayIsPJday · 14/03/2022 18:24

Hi everyone ☺️ really enjoying the lovely scans

I am 11+4 now, I have my scan on Thursday. Feeling massively behind!

Have any of you found their appetite return back to normal yet? I am always hungry 🙁 and feel very weak if I don't eat. I'm really worried how big I'm getting/going to get. trying to eat fruit and veg as much as poss but honestly the junk is quicker and easier!

Hoping it returns to normal for me soon

stimpyyouidiot · 14/03/2022 18:39

I did have the NIPT but it was the nhs one so you don't find out the sex. Literally just the risk for ds

stimpyyouidiot · 14/03/2022 18:41

They do tell you at 20wks, I paid £30-40 when I was pregnant with dd at 16 weeks for a gender scan. But it's loads more now so can't really afford this time. Would love to find out but will wait

Bellebun22 · 14/03/2022 18:45

@TotoAnnihiliation eeek good luck with your scan! Sorry I’ve just seen your post about the scan date. I have ours booked for 26th March- day before Mother’s Day. It’s first thing in the morning so I’m going to run to the post office after and post a scan pic to my nan and my mum as a Mother’s Day prezzie and hope it gets there in time

Bellebun22 · 14/03/2022 18:47

Does anyone have a bump yet?? For all those with bumps or other tiny humans when did you start to show? 🤰🏼

IzzyLeigh · 14/03/2022 18:48

@stimpyyouidiot and @annlee3817: I really hope you guys like it as much as I do! I’ve heard of some people using them to wear their pre-pregnancy pants for the entire pregnancy. I don’t know if I’ll be able to do that, but it’s definitely helping me right now. I feel way way better

@EverydayIsPJday I’m 12+2 and I think my food aversions have calmed down a bit and my queasiness is much better. I’m still hungry all the time, but at least it’s more manageable now that I’m not reaching for food to try to ease my nausea as much as I was before. I think that’s making a huge difference for me. But I do still want to eat everything all the time like a bottomless pit haha

@Carebear99 not all trusts tell you at the 20 week scan, I think most do though, I found out before last time as it was nice to have a longer private scan that was purely for that.

@Bellebun22 for my first I popped around 16 weeks with a small bump, with this one I seem to have had one since around ten weeks, feel huge today, but full of gas lol

TotoAnnihiliation · 14/03/2022 19:05

@Bellebun22 - how lovely to get your scan booked as part of Mother's Day!

I have a bump, I look enormous already. I have a short torso so I was always going to show early. I've lost loads of weight of my hips after months of not eating. My appetite has finally reappeared!

Bellebun22 · 14/03/2022 20:05

@annlee3817 I did read that the first trimester can be a lot of bloating ☺️

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 14/03/2022 20:08

@Bellebun22 I definitely feel podgy at 13 weeks.

With my DS I had nothing until 28 weeks! Then carried small. I was sent for weekly growth scans as bump was small. He was born a distinctly average 7.4lb!

Bellebun22 · 14/03/2022 20:09

Ah thank you 💜 the timing worked out perfectly for 15 weeks, plus a few days
Nooooo did you have bad morning sickness? Ngl I got off pretty unscathed, I just felt ‘not 100%’ and only felt actually sick once when my partner decided to pan fry halloumi in the kitchen. Did have had heart burn though
I’m 5ft tall and only little so nothing yet, it was either going to be showing really early and looking massive or having a tiny bump and just being small. Time will tell!

Bellebun22 · 14/03/2022 20:14

That is crazy, I wonder where he was hiding in there! 💙
I did wonder about having to go for scans if I don’t show for a while and stay small. I lost a bit of weight which I think was bloat from no wine and I didn’t have heavy meals to begin with so tightened my belt by 1 and it is still like that at the moment. Either that or I look pregnant and am just walking round like Gloria from Modern Family 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

@TotoAnnihiliation I really need to get into the habit of making sure I am including peoples names and not just pressing reply. Otherwise it looks like I am talking to myself 🤣 sorry I did mean to reply to you
TotoAnnihiliation · 14/03/2022 20:29

@Bellebun22 pregnancy sickness has been awful this time. Only vomited a few time but permanently nauseous! It's not been a pleasant time. I still can't open the fridge without retching :(

Bellebun22 · 14/03/2022 20:33

@TotoAnnihiliation nooo that is horrendous. Really feel for you. Soon you’ll be able to enjoy yummy things again 🧡
There was a lady I met 2 months ago, she could only eat rich tea biscuits!

Belle2210 · 14/03/2022 21:13

@IzzyLeigh do you find it keeps your jeans up when they're undone? Just imagining walking along and them gradually falling down 🙈😂
