It’s been so lovely seeing everyone’s scans pic and having reassurance everything is ok. Only 6 more days to go before my scan and the wait is long! I’ve felt fine so far apart from tired and my boobs have doubled in size and are so veiny. Just praying that everything is ok with baby #3 and I hope the next few days fly by. Xx

MOLWI · 11/03/2022 15:16

@GlitteryGreen

Just got my screening results back and relieved to see all is low risk :) (*@MOLWI*).

On another note, I have noooo idea at all how people look at scans and guess sex! I was staring at mine for ages then gave up because I had no idea what I was looking for 😂

Ah amazing! Happy for you!

Still waiting on mine, did they just come through on the badger notes app for you? X

GlitteryGreen · 11/03/2022 15:29

@MOLWI Yeah they did but I didn't get an alert or anything, I have just been periodically checking in the blood results section, or whatever it's called.
I think they've come back quite quick, I was expecting next week at least.

IzzyLeigh · 11/03/2022 17:37

thank you @Chlox16! and I'm so glad your scan went well @Dreamer30! It's incredible isn't it? and so so reassuring
Here's my scan today (11+6) and my little one was just going bonkers in there! She was kicking up and then sliding down the walls over and over again, flailing her arms all over the place, and kicking so much she looked like she was pedaling an imaginary bike! I still can't get over just how active she was. Seems like I'm going to have my hands full with this one Grin

Such a lovely clear picture

@Whatelsecouldibecalled I am trying to guess yours, my completely uneducated guess is girl.

Whoknew22 · 11/03/2022 21:02

@Whatelsecouldibecalled I would guess boy here. The nub looks stacked xx

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 11/03/2022 21:11

@Whoknew22 which bit is the nub?

Whoknew22 · 11/03/2022 21:15

@Whatelsecouldibecalled bit that’s sticking up slightly that looks like it could be between the babies legs. Usually when they stick up and are at an angle of more than 45 degrees to the spine, it suggests a boy xx

Morning everyone! I’ve been quiet again but following along, it’s lovely to see so many scans, bits of good news and funny stories - it’s really been keeping me going.

I wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped me with advice on my job, I had an interview this week and should find out if I’ve been successful next week! Then to tell them my news 😅 Since then I’ve also had my 12 week scan so I feel more confident having seen baby wriggling away in there. I didn’t expect to go through my previous birth notes in such detail with the midwife there, which was a bit emotional but helpful. Due 23/9 but will likely have scheduled section 1 week before.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend - especially you ladies with little ones. DH is on shifts right now and entertaining a 1 year old alone is challenging! Tips for toddler games where lying down is part of it very welcome 🙏🏼

Peauela · 12/03/2022 10:52

@IzzyLeigh what a lovely scan! It's so cute when they move around in there 💕

@Whatelsecouldibecalled I say a girl!

Belle2210 · 12/03/2022 19:02

Glad to see more scans ☺️

Anyone else found they're been more crampy again from about week 13/14?

annlee3817 · 12/03/2022 19:14

@Belle2210 yes I was, has eased off again now, assume there was more stretching happening going by my stomach :)

Belle2210 · 12/03/2022 19:25

@annlee3817 Thanks for replying! How far on are you now it's stopped again? Makes tighter trousers feel even worse 😂. Really need to get some maternity items ordered.

annlee3817 · 12/03/2022 19:28

@Belle2210 ha ha I definitely need to get some proper maternity stuff, have a pair of jeans so far and leggings. I'm 15+4 :)

Belle2210 · 12/03/2022 19:31

@annlee3817 I definitely need something! 😂 For maternity wear do you need to have a decent size of bump for them to be comfortable? Also do you just order them in your normal size? First pregnancy so I've no idea 🙈

annlee3817 · 12/03/2022 19:35

Over bump ones are generally big in the earlier days @Belle2210 I just fold them down, I haven't tried under bump ones. Usually I just go for my normal size, unless it's h&m jeans... They come up small

Belle2210 · 12/03/2022 19:55

@annlee3817 Thanks so much ☺️. Really helpful.

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 12/03/2022 19:59

I'm so ready for my husband to come back. My toddler is amazing but by god full time parenting. Working. Growing a human with no help is bloody hard work

madeleine85 · 12/03/2022 20:12

@Belle2210 the cramping got me pretty bad at week 14-15. My doctor said it was either stretching from the bump, or could be dehydration from starting to exercise more while feeling better. You have 50% more blood, and your boobs are doing weird things already to set up milk supply etc, so water is really important and might help cramps (maybe).

Most places say to order in your usual size for maternity clothes. I found some decent amazon leggings (cheap) which are decent enough and I can fold the waist down as right now I don't have enough of a bump to keep them up fully so they annoy me. I got a few dresses this week, but again, too small of a bump to really fit them, but will be good in a month or so. I tried Seraphine (stupidly expensive and none of it was good), but their tops would fit tall people well. My short self was drowned lol. By some miracle it turns out that my pre maternity work trousers still fit, though they are by spanx as they did petite ones and I was really struggling to find any. I think I have a month before i'm bursting out of them, though the compression legging effect is holding in a "bump" nicely. :).

@Whatelsecouldibecalled I have to give you serious serious credit for being able to effectively solo parent. Our LO is just 2 and has been great recently, but she is still exhausting. Hope your husband is home so soon x

Bellebun22 · 12/03/2022 20:16

Evening ladies!
The midwife reckons this was 12 weeks exactly when I had my scan. Any guesses on 💜 or 💙?
We have a private scan booked the day before Mother’s Day so will have to report back when we find out ☺️
