Hi everyone! It’s been lovely reading your comments and feeling into the community here. I don’t know many mums or pregnant women near me, and I’m around men most of the time, so I’m grateful for all of your honesty, rawness and vulnerability! I’m 15+1, due 1st Sept with my first child!

I’d love to know if anyone here has also got rhesus negative blood? I’ve been advised to have the anti-D injection, but I’m a bit weary of it. If anyone has had it before I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences.

Also I keep seeing ‘DD’ and ‘HD’ on here... what do they stand for?

I am Rhesus negative and this is my third pregnancy. I had the anti d injection at 28 weeks and it was honestly fine. From what has been explained to me if the baby was positive and any blood mixed with yours, your next baby could have blood problems as your body would attack it. Definitely worth reading up about. I don’t think I know of anyone who has refused it xx

I’m also Rhesus Negative, had the Anti D in my last pregnancy, DD was positive, so good that I did, had to have another one after she was born because of that. Will be getting it this time too.

@IzzyLeigh just catching up. Yessss on the scan result. It is a nice bonding feeling once you know what you have cooking in there. Fire away any mat leave USA questions you have nearer the time, i'll answer whatever I can.

@ShiningStarz 2nd time around here too, and I have a bump (part flub, part bump if I'm honest). I can hide it under baggy jumpers, but it is going to be big this time I think. Moderately scared, but also worked out the calculation of 15/40 and i'm 37.5% of the way through pregnancy, which doesn't make me feel awful about having a bump already.

@madeleine85 I like the thinking of a percentage of the way through! I'm 14w today so 35%

Hi All!

Even though I've had my private scans, I had to go in yesterday to the maternity hospital for my appointed dating scan so I had a chance to see baby again! Ahhh it was so active this time around it was really reassuring (it was sleeping on every previous scan! Lazy bun) and even turned away from us, bet didn't wanna be disturbed lol 😂 all is well, I got all the details from the midwife and my first telephone consultation is on Monday. We should also be getting our NIPT results next week, I really can't wait!!!!!! 💕💕💕💕

I am also extremely tired still and I wonder when will it go away! 😅

congrats @Peaula! what a gorgeous scan! I have one today too and I'm hoping I have the same luck as you and get to see a happy little active baby. I thought maybe now now I would be a little less anxious of scans, but nope. just as anxious as usual ha

Hi ladies, please could you take some guesses on the sex of my baby? This was scan from yesterday at 12+2.

I have no idea (so bad at guessing these) but I love that scan! Looks like an action shot of them kicking away at you! Something tells me you're going to be in for an internal beating once little one is big enough to be felt haha

I had to wake baby up as they were initially facing towards my spine. Lots of jumping and jiggling from me! Once they were awake there lots of kicking and hand swiping.

Just got my screening results back and relieved to see all is low risk :) (@MOLWI).

On another note, I have noooo idea at all how people look at scans and guess sex! I was staring at mine for ages then gave up because I had no idea what I was looking for 😂

Thanks @Carebear99...only thing is now DP will want to start telling people, whereas I am happier in my own little secret bubble 😂 Dreading telling our families, can't deal with the attention.
