Ok. I never got a letter from them about my combined screening results so I'm none the wiser as to what made my results high risk. I'll ask them tomorrow for it.

annlee3817 · 04/03/2022 06:40

@stimpyyouidiot mine was in a grid format, firstly showing my age probability which was 1:68 for downs and then next to it the NIPT test probability which was 1:10,000

Carebear99 · 04/03/2022 07:26

I got the combined screening letter yesterday, I had the test and scan last Friday. I already knew I was low risk as I had the nipt. I can't work out if my papp a is normal though. Is it normal?

@Carebear99 one of the FB group members posted as she has low PAPP A at 0.2, and said anything under 0.44 is low, so yours if I'm reading right is 0.94

EverydayIsPJday · 04/03/2022 14:03

Hi all. I'm 10 weeks now, just about to head off to the hospital for my bloods to be taken for checking in (the mw bit was over the phone). Feeling so nervous which is totally irrational I know as it's only a blood sample. Last time I was there though was for a scan last year which didn't end well 😞 I can't shake the bad feelings this time around. Not sure what I'm saying tbh I'm just rambling🤷 I have another two weeks until the scan.

Emotional rollercoaster isn't it. I hope you are all ok today.

Dreamer30 · 04/03/2022 14:34

I really don't feel well at all today! Convinced I have covid so just back from doing a pcr, 3 negative lateral flows though between yesterday and today. I was up all night last night heaving, mainly because I have a sore throat I think and was coughing. I was sipping water and every time I did I was back up again 15 muns later bringing it back up. Really worried about the risk of mc if I do have covid 😔 I dare Google it

stimpyyouidiot · 04/03/2022 14:50

@Dreamer30 I had Covid 3 weeks ago and I was all good x

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 04/03/2022 15:12

I'm so so tired today. Slept like shit. My husband leaves in 4 hours. I need to find the energy to appropriate parent to my toddler Confused

That's good to know. Hope you're feeling better now. It may just be a bad cold. Feeling sorry for myself 😅

stimpyyouidiot · 04/03/2022 15:41

@Dreamer30 tbh I had a cold before Covid and the cold was worse than Covid!!

Dreamer30 · 04/03/2022 15:48

@stimpyyouidiot oh really? Last time I had a cold was Sept 2020 and I remember because I thought it was covid. I always get a bad cough and that one lasted 4 weeks so hope this isn't the same. Went for my pcr and he said a few days for results! It's usually 48hrs here but have them in less than 24, I think the cases are on the rise again

annlee3817 · 04/03/2022 16:36

@EverydayIsPJday this time drags in the lead up to the first scan doesn't it. Have you had a scan before now?

stimpyyouidiot · 04/03/2022 16:54

Yep! I had a horrible cold, had the first day off from work since I started. Lfts all negative. Then I was at work the week after and my nose started running despite me being better which I thought was weird. Then I did my lft for work the Wednesday and there it was! So I'd had a horrible cold, and then the runny nose was Covid 🤦🏻‍♀️

Carebear99 · 04/03/2022 17:07

I've had my first scan but it feels like a weird limbo now. I've got a consultant appointment at 15w then midwife at 16.5 weeks. Then I guess 20 week scan which I haven't received a date for

madeleine85 · 04/03/2022 17:38

@Whatelsecouldibecalled I am sending all the hugs your way. You are one strong lady! Hoping your husband is ok where he is being deployed. I know it's a risk in the military that they are sent away, but the timing is just so rotten. Mine was enlisted back in the day and has a clause they can get called back at any point, it truly terrifies me that things escalate and he is recalled. Which I know is selfish, but it is really scary and single parenting a toddler while pregnant is no joke. Hoping you have plenty of family around to support you at this time.

@Dreamer30 i've had my toddler's sinus infection plague for 3 weeks now. She has totally recovered, my husband didn't get it. It is rotten! Hoping yours is just a bug and not covid, but even now covid seems very manageable.

@Carebear99 yay for a first scan and seeing your little bean!!

Hi @annlee3817 no I haven't had a scan yet. Only 13 sleeps to go! First appointment of the day so atleast I won't have time to ponder it then.
Bloods are done, so another tick in the box i guess!

EverydayIsPJday · 04/03/2022 17:54

Aww @dkedm15 that's lovely

stimpyyouidiot · 04/03/2022 18:09

NIPT was only sent off today but I am already impatient for my results. Just want peace of mind!!

Dreamer30 · 04/03/2022 18:21

Oh god. 2 negative ltfs yesterday and a negative one this morning, feel awful so just took another and it's positive 😔 so worried now. Was hoping it was just a cold

Anyone else's mood all over the place lately?? 15 weeks and don't know what to expect from 1 hour to the next!

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 04/03/2022 18:41

@madeleine85 unfortunately not much. PIL live 5 hours away. My mum helps where she can but she has lots on Confused

madeleine85 · 04/03/2022 18:47

@Dreamer30 urghhhh you were unfortunately right. Make sure you have paracetamol to manage a fever (though hopefully you are asymptomatic and it just takes a few days to be gone). I've heard you should hydrate like crazy. Try not to worry, I know we pregnant ladies get very concerned at everything, but so many people have had covid while pregnant. On the upside your baby will (i'd guess) likely be born with some sort of immunity which is in itself be a good thing. I remember when my DD was born and they brought back blood work and were like she has immunity to xy and z and I was like I had those jabs like 20-30 years ago. It felt nice to know that some of the antibodies pass to them though.

@Whatelsecouldibecalled anytime you need a virtual rant we're all here for you. Toddlers are both incredible and such hard work, and pregnancy just makes it so hard due to exhaustion.

Dreamer30 · 04/03/2022 18:52

@madeleine85 I've had paracetamol 3 times today and it seems to help and I've been super thirsty so drinking loads anyway, probably because I'm burning up. Aw well hopefully, at least something positive will come from it lol I just hope all is okay

Dreamer30 · 04/03/2022 19:22

I've phoned up epu and they said that because of my high bmi I may need an injection? But the doctors had just gone into surgery so she'll phone me later on tonight. Does anyone know what these are? Steroid injections maybe?
