@IzzyLeigh haha what are the chances of that happening twice 😊 seems ages away though! I usually have no sensation in my nipples either and they hurt the most to touch. I never lie on my front but yesterday I lay on the floor and could definitely feel a little something pressing against it lol. I remember with my DD though that sleeping eventually got so uncomfortable so I think ill get a pregnancy pillow this time

@stimpyyouidiot and @Dreamer30 I had the hair spots from the early days till a few days ago, they are so sore and annoying!! Hoping that both of yours clear soon, and it is just a weird first trimester thing that doesn't stick for the 9 months. Pregnancy is just so damn weird. The most bizarre bit to me is you pop out a child and your body is like oh ok, I can go straight back to normal re. food, skin etc. I remember being in the hospital the last time shovelling down fried rice, which I hadn't been able to look at in 9 months!

@TotoAnnihiliation that is some restraint!! Not that i'd know how to turn it on, but so tempting :) Yay for pregnancy hair. I need to get mine cut so badly. I was the teenager/20s person with the slowest growing hair in the world, until I had children. Now going more than every 9 months (my old routine) annoys me as it gets so expensive! Re. mental health, you are definitely doing the right and most responsible thing. It is crazy how hormones affect us, and how different it is in each pregnancy. Add in a shitty work situation and that can really make things unbearable. Hopefully they can refer you to talk to someone when you need it x

TotoAnnihiliation · 02/03/2022 21:53

I had spots in my hair line when I was pregnant with DD, plus some delightful what I called backne - spots all over my back. Honestly, I felt like shrek. This time I'm sprouting a hair chin. I've never felt more beautiful, especially as they are really long when they magically appear overnight.

@madeleine85 - thank you for your supportive words. I think the midwife would be happy to refer me, I had PND after the arrival of DD.

Carebear99 · 03/03/2022 03:35

@ShiningStarz I'm just catching up on here. Your NIPT came back OK? I'm so pleased for you!

madeleine85 · 03/03/2022 04:54

@TotoAnnihiliation you made me laugh with the hair growth. Pregnancy is wonderful and horrendous. If the human brain didn’t block out these memories after birth, I think there would be few second children 😂

Anyone been to their 12 week scan on their own? My husband is being deployed on Saturday (cheers Russia!) and so no can't come. We don't have any other family near. Feeling a bit sad. Praying it's not bad news.

annlee3817 · 03/03/2022 10:27

@Whatelsecouldibecalled sorry to hear that, do you have a friend that could go with you instead?

TotoAnnihiliation · 03/03/2022 10:42

@Whatelsecouldibecalled oh gosh! I'm sorry to hear that. If I was local to you, I would come with you!

mol2mum · 03/03/2022 11:02

@Whatelsecouldibecalled aww sorry that's happening! But I'm sure all will be okay with the scan and your husband will have some great news to look forward toThanks I went for my scan yesterday and there were a few women who went in for their scans on their own so you won't be aloneSmile

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 03/03/2022 12:23

@annlee3817 it's in work time middle of afternoon so tricky to ask people to take time off.

@TotoAnnihiliation thanks that's kind!

EverydayIsPJday · 03/03/2022 12:57

@Whatelsecouldibecalled I am sorry to hear that. I will be going to mine alone as DH will need to look after our children (on the 17th). The only other option was to tell my sister in law in the hope she could have them but we decided against it, neither of us want to tell anyone until we've been given the all clear, I've just felt so different this pregnancy 🤷

You will be OK. As pp said there are many women that go alone. Best of luck OP.

stimpyyouidiot · 03/03/2022 14:52

@Whatelsecouldibecalled I'm sorry to hear that, that must be really stressful. I hope it goes well and maybe you can think of a nice way to send it to him?

Isonthecase · 03/03/2022 14:57

@Whatelsecouldibecalled that's a pity. I did a scan alone last time and my husband was away and they were lovely, even let me video call him for a bit to tell us the gender once I explained. Hopefully a similarly fine experience for you ☺️

calipoppy · 03/03/2022 15:31

@Whatelsecouldibecalled so sorry to hear that! could you book a last minute private scan before he goes? That way at least you can go to that together. I had to go alone last time due to Covid so we booked one at 11 weeks privately so we could see the baby together/make sure all was ok!

stimpyyouidiot · 03/03/2022 16:34

I'd been feeling ok about the NIPT for the last couple of days but the anxiety is back with a vengeance :(

Dreamer30 · 03/03/2022 17:16

The dry heaving is bad today! 🤢 I've actually just been sick for the first time in 12 weeks lol always just had nausea luckily. I felt ill as soon as I woke up today. Sore head and throat and feeling crappy - 2 negative covid tests so hopefully just a cold but I think it's the sore throat that's making me heave more lol here was me thinking 12 weeks meant feeling better 😅

dkedm15 · 03/03/2022 18:06

@Dreamer30 snap - I was sick for the first time dead on 12 weeks! What a way to christen the occasion Grin

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 03/03/2022 18:14

@calipoppy at £79 a go I don't think he will agree to another. We had one at 7 weeks with my falling naturally this time. We had ivf to have our little boy

12w exactly today too 🤣 such a glamorous experience haha!

stimpyyouidiot · 03/03/2022 18:53

Can anyone tell me what the format of the NIPT results are? Like what does it actually tell you?

stimpyyouidiot · 03/03/2022 18:58

Oh I've just managed to google some photos of results which show me how it's laid out etc

ShiningStarz · 03/03/2022 20:12

Yep @Carebear99 all low risk. Feel so relieved.

@Whatelsecouldibecalled sorry to hear that. I went on my own (we went together to a private one week before). There were lots others on their own. I'd take a friend with you if you feel comfortable with that. Or ring then and tell them and they might say go in tomorrow!

ShiningStarz · 03/03/2022 20:13

@stimpyyouidiot the doctor ordering it can just give you top line. We didn't get a copy as the sex is on it and we didn't want to know.

stimpyyouidiot · 03/03/2022 20:21

I don't think you get the sex on the nhs tests. Just the odds for downs etc

madeleine85 · 03/03/2022 20:21

@stimpyyouidiot mine were kind of laid out like a dummies guide. The top section was detailed/confusing, but then I scrolled down and it was like downs = low risk, this = whatever risk. It was pretty user friendly and very clear. If you need a screenshot lmk.
