I’m 13.5 weeks and In the last week
I’ve more or less stopped my lunch nap. Energy is coming back! Still can’t touch chocolate or chicken but I think that will stay for the 9 months if the baby does. I’m still tiring easier, but can finally concentrate at work. I think I’m beginning to feel flutters too in the last few days. Are others beginning to feel things? Next checkup is this Thursday so hope he’s still in there and all is good. Also finally told my parents this is the real reason which I can’t go on an international trip In late July 😂. Feels Good to be letting the cat out the bag, but also a bit unnerving like tempting fate.

Isonthecase · 26/02/2022 20:49

Still tired, had afternoon naps most days this week. And the sickness is back with a bang! I'm over 14 weeks so a bit peed off about the whole thing 😂

Whoknew22 · 26/02/2022 21:39

@Dreamer30 NHS GG&C offer free NIPT if after your blood test you are high ‘risk’, i.e 1 in 105 (roughly) or higher. You can’t just opt for 1. This is a change from when I was last pregnant. It wasn’t offered at all on the NHS. X

Exciting now seeing all the 12 week scans and Pregnancy pillow talk starting 😁😁.

After a week of worse sickness I've woken up today feeling normal. I've even had 2 cups of tea which I've been off of for the past month (12w+2 by early scan or 11w+3 LMP). Hoping this is just the end of morning sickness 🤞. Will prob come back tomorrow 🤣.

Purplerain1144 · 27/02/2022 12:16

Anyone else 12 weeks today? Thank god I am feeling much better past few days. Just waiting for scan on the 10th and midwife appt on 17th. My area are so behind! Hope everyone is well ❤❤

Carebear99 · 27/02/2022 12:50

@Purplerain1144 I was 12w on Friday. Tiredness is pretty much my own symptom now.

ShiningStarz · 27/02/2022 15:18

@Purplerain1144 I'm 12 weeks tomorrow! I had a private scan last week. Iv the nhs one this week 💕

EverydayIsPJday · 27/02/2022 16:56

Oh wow, so many struggling with tiredness still and so much further along than me 😭 bloody hell. Back on the nursery school run tomorrow morning (mine are 4 and just turned 2) so no excuse to stay in pjs. Dreading it. Ah well. Back to bed at 7.30 tonight (feeling like I have no life outside the kids basic routine right now 😞)

annlee3817 · 27/02/2022 18:02

13+5 and tiredness is very much here still, shattered today. Also have had the joy of nausea again the last two mornings after a week or two without 🙄

Dreamer30 · 27/02/2022 19:14

I don't have any tiredness! Now wondering if something is wrong with me lol was really tired from 6-8w but then it passed.
My only symptoms now are slightly sore boobs - mainly at night, heartburn, occasional nausea also at night and lots of dry heaving lol

ShiningStarz · 27/02/2022 19:20

Iv started lathering my bump in palmers cocoa butter 3 times a day !! I'm so big already and only just 12 weeks tomorrow.

20viona · 27/02/2022 20:40

I'm 10+2 approx but have my dating scan this week. Saw MW last week and she's absolutely butchered me for bloods, and I think il need more this week for the combined screening!

Omg my arm looked like this! Not one nurse at the surgery or midwife had done this to me. But the phlebotomist did me in!
Safxxx · 28/02/2022 00:18

Hi ladies, congrats to you all, sorry to intrude on you all, I'm due end of sep, wanted to ask how's the situation at the hospital for scans? Are you required to take COVID tests prior? I had my letter thru the other day for my 12wk scan and it stated I could bring a partner, but both of us should take COVID tests and results should be recorded online. Now that there's no restrictions, it doesn't make sense to me. It states it's required for all antenatal and maternity unit visits.

Carebear99 · 28/02/2022 03:05

Hi @Safxxx at my hospital we were asked to do lateral flow tests and upload the result to get the text showing at had a negative test. We did this last week for my 12w scan and for several early scans we had early on but no one every looked or even asked for the text messages as proof. What a waste of time

annlee3817 · 28/02/2022 07:02

@Safxxx mine was before the restrictions were fully removed, I'm not sure tests will be required anymore, but they still want masks in medical settings, was the case when I took my DD to the hospital on Friday for a blood test. I'd personally give the ultrasound department a call and ask about the lateral flow tests and whether they're still required. I'm thinking not giving that soon they will no longer be free.

110APiccadilly · 28/02/2022 07:08

@Safxxx I have to do LFTs, as does DH, though I've been told we don't have to show any proof. However, I'm in Wales, where large chunks of restrictions are still in force.

I don't see how they can continue to ask for these once LFTs are no longer free unless the hospitals start giving them out.

Safxxx · 28/02/2022 07:44

Thank you for your replies, I will not have a test prior to my scan, let's hope they don't have to rebook it lol.
Or maybe I'll give them a ring and ask if it's necessary, especially if I'm well. Xxx

Tinadecember · 28/02/2022 07:48

Morning girls, hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend!

11+2 here today, had the most horrendous dream last night that I started bleeding heavily, woke up sweating all over and I can't get it out of my head :(

We have our dating scan a week today!!! we saw the baby last week on a private scan for reassurance as my symptoms have started to subside and all was well. We have opted for the down syndrome screening scan, does anyone have more info on what this involves?

ShiningStarz · 28/02/2022 09:35

I'm feeling super anxious this week.
2 sleeps to go until scan at hospital (had a private one last week). Anxiously waiting an email from consultant regarding the harmony test. They phone if there is a problem so just dreading it all. He didn't pick up any issues at the scan so my partner and I are very positive, it's just the waiting that is so stressful. I feel like It's the final piece to tell family, friends and work and to be able to start enjoying the pregnancy.

GlitteryGreen · 28/02/2022 09:42

1 week until my 12 week scan too :) Haven't had a scan since 7 weeks so hoping everything is OK.

I am not looking forward to telling everyone though...I feel like I like just having it between a few people and being able to live normal life with everyone else without them going on about it all the time - especially our parents. I'd honestly rather leave it a lot longer but I can't as we're going away with DP's family in April and it involves a theme park where I won't be able to go on anything so no choice but to tell before then.

Gigi30 · 28/02/2022 10:05

I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow and still have little to no symptoms.
Week 8 I was falling asleep at 8pm but I feel better now. I last had a scan at 8w2d and everything was great. My 12 week scan is 18th March and I'm terrified because I don't have any symptoms. :(

Has anyone been the sane and everything turned out fine?

annlee3817 · 28/02/2022 10:30

@Glitterygreen can you tell them end of march? Hold off a bit longer

@Gigi30 I was the same in my first pregnancy, all was fine, DD is now 6 :)

GlitteryGreen · 28/02/2022 10:43

@annlee3817 I think it will end up being the end of March anyway tbh as we will wait for the test results from the scan day etc before telling anyone.

Also DP has 2 older children so telling the rest of his family has to wait until after they know, but they are only here EOW. So I think the first feasible weekend we could tell his family would be the end of March.

Think outside of our families I will leave it as long as possible to tell everyone else 🤣 Might even just wait until they notice tbh.

GlitteryGreen · 28/02/2022 10:46

@Gigi30 I think lots of people find their symptoms fade/disappear when heading towards 12 weeks :) I have read it's totally normal and the 2nd trimester is when you feel most 'back to normal' because your body has adjusted to the hormones.
