@Vimto1991 I think you might be me, exercise is not happening here either. I have plans to go for a swim/yoga every day once baby arrives, then I'll get a break AND get back into some sort of shape! Big plans, let's see how that works out 😬

Do we have to monitor kicks? I haven't been told to and worried I'll just be super paranoid at every quiet moment 🥺

Midwife ignored my third text and I think I'm going to ask if I can have a different one.

In other good news: We got a new boiler fitted on Monday, £3k I would really rather not have spent right now but we were told ours needed a couple of hundred to fix, and at it was over 10 years old we figured better to replace. Today we have no hot water 😭

I believe from 28 weeks you should monitor anyway you wish, just keep an eye out on patterns and if something feels wrong advise your midwife. I had mine not respond to me for two months, turns out she was off sick but no one had told me. :(
Atleast your boiler is sorted now in time for baby, though! I know the pain, we moved into this house and didn’t realise the boiler was old and broken, 3k lesson learnt, maybe check the boiler before we buy a house next time. 😂

@Vimto1991 true, but I'm guessing even with no energy an hour's break to have a cuppa and relax will be needed! I keep saying things like that and I bet I'll end up being one of those mums who refuses to leave her child alone for more than 5 minutes until it's 12 😂

I think I'm going to go with the ad-hoc approach to monitoring, things are getting crazy busy now. I've reverted to my pre-pregnancy 4am anxiety wake-ups, which is rubbish 😕 roll on June and having a little soft baby to hopefully adore 💕

Boiler - we knew it would need replacing eventually, we moved in just over a year ago, but not right now! Also, not sorted, newly fitted and no hot water 😂

I had an early 3D scan yesterday at 23 plus 2 - my family think I'm abit crazy the amount of scans I've paid for but it's hard not to worry about the little man in there...
We had a miscarriage last June so hoping everything keeps going smoothly

Beautiful scan @LM42 ! Love 3Ds. I'd get one too if they had somewhere in Jersey that did them.
After what you went through last June it's hardly surprising you'd want lots of scans, it's the best reassurance!x

@PeeAche that sounds absolutely horrific, I'm so sorry. You should definitely complain.

@BunBun221 I've had the same with the Emma's diary packs, it says 3 of each but every time I gointo the app it seems to have reset. Not complaining though!

Does anyone find themselves irrationally (or not tbh, I'm not convinced I'm irrational 😂) angry at people?
Since Monday I've heard:
You're very big for 24 weeks
Are you sure it isn't twins
You're so much bigger than I remember from your last pregnancy
Oh are you really in maternity clothes already
Oh I would've thought you were further along looking at you
But you are definitely sure it's only 1 baby?

Like yes I get it, my stomach is huge 😒. Yes I'm bigger than last time, I'm also older and was fatter to begin with this time haha. I just don't see the need to mention it. I'm already uncomfortable and feeling stretched and I know it's only going to get worse

@Octoblockisadick urgh. People are the worst sometimes. If it makes you feel better, people saying ‘you don’t even look pregnant’ or ‘but your bump is so small/non existent’ is very annoying too. As if I’m not paranoid enough that something could be wrong 😑

@PleaseSendNoodles I'm totally on board with this, constantly hearing "oh your bump is so small and cute" just freaks me out that the baby is too small 😩

@PleaseSendNoodles @pregnancydiaries yeah I got all that last time. I was still wearing my non maternity clothes up to the day she was born.
I'm probably about the same size now at 24 weeks as I was at 38 weeks last time haha.
But I was definitely the same size at 20 weeks, it's just these past couple of weeks.

Can anyone else visibly see their stomach going crazy when baby moves? My whole stomach is jumping around and you can see it through my clothes too.

@Octoblockisadick honestly who the F do people think they are commenting on our stomachs. I feel big for me and am in maternity clothes because my bump is bloody obvious but just because sometimes I wear a baggy jumper for comfort 😂

What's worse is when people think they just have the right to come up and touch and prod your stomach???? What is that all about 😂

She was a lot "neater" I guess

@pregnancydiaries luckily nobody has really touched my stomach yet. I do tend to stand with a file or something across it when I'm talking to someone haha, not the most subtle of signals not to touch I suppose!
