@Prema112 glad all is ok and thank you for the tips should a CTG be required!

mrkb · 10/03/2022 21:14

Thanks @destiEos still feeling rubbish but not as bad as yesterday! Hospital has put me in for a growth scan on Sunday to check everything is going ok though I did have a scan and CTG yesterday so hoping it will be!

Can definitely echo @Prema112 on making sure you've got water and a phone to hand for CTG - I had mine on for around an hour and nearly had a little nap!

Prema112 · 10/03/2022 21:16

@mrkb Good to hear you're feeling a little better. I would have had a nap if I wasn't so darn uncomfortable!

fpeg · 10/03/2022 21:37

Thank you all for your lovely replies as well 💚

Octoblockisadick · 10/03/2022 21:48

Oh @Prema112 that sounds uncomfortable!

On the subject of uncomfortable- is anyone else finding that kicks are starting to be uncomfortable already?! If its already "hurting" at 26 weeks god help me for the next 14!!

Prema112 · 10/03/2022 21:54

@fpeg I've just seen your beautiful pictures! Wow! It's so amazing they can do that- you can see her sweet face so clearly!!

@Octoblockisadick mine is doing less kicking but is LOVING rolling all day long and it makes me feel a bit sick!

mrkb · 10/03/2022 22:02

@Prema112 I think that was more covid exhaustion than relaxing environment tbf 😅

@Octoblockisadick yes - just feeling movements a lot more which is reassuring but uncomfortable and increasingly feeling like a punching bag! Hard to imagine that they're still tiny little babies in there when those movements feel enormous!

PleaseSendNoodles · 11/03/2022 01:55

Eeek! We’re nearly onto a new thread! Oh wow, @fpeg those pictures are amazing! Remind me how far along you are now?

Thank you 💚 I was 28+1 yesterday when I had them done
PleaseSendNoodles · 11/03/2022 05:54

@fpeg Amazing! I’d love to go back for another private scan and I’m trying to work out the best time. Maybe I’ll wait a couple more weeks as I’m a bit behind you 😊

MrsTwentyNine · 11/03/2022 07:34

@Prema112 glad to hear all was well!

@fpeg lovely scan!!

To someone else who asked, I was going to get a private scan at 32 weeks ish to check growth and mainly to see him again 💙

unknownscot · 11/03/2022 08:16

I had a private scan this week (25 weeks) it was brilliant - and took my mum and MIL as an early Mother's Day gift.

❤️

I get an nhs scan at 32 weeks due to on going health issues anyway.

X

@Prema112 yeah, midwife measured little one's hb at 163, then dropped to 150-something... Said the first measurement was a bit high but was happy with the 150... Didn't seem much of a difference to me, but if she's happy.. 🙂 Glad you got it all checked and everything's ok, the worrying is the worst. I woke up this morning with a cold sore, didn't even feel very stressed/run down, but my body likes to let me know publicly 😕

@mrkb glad you're feeling better too! Less rubbish than yesterday is great 😬

I've got glucose test next week, so will try and cut back on biscuits, but I'm not feeling very confident. Baby loves chocolate 😍 (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!) Also have a 32 week scan but I'm only just 27 weeks, so ages to go yet.

This weekend is nursery prepping, the room looks like a bomb hit it at the moment. Wish me luck 👊🏻

Flowerbug1994 · 11/03/2022 09:52

@destiEos cutting back on the sugar won’t effect the test as they give you they drink to drink so that’s what they measure. So you enjoy them biscuits 😂😂 if the baby wants chocolate give them chocolate

Prema112 · 11/03/2022 09:53

Thanks @destiEos Yeah it's weird that the hb jumps around so much but I suppose it's normal. He had a hiccuping episode and it dropped loads but she didn't seem worried about that either.

@PeeAche you've chosen a name!! Well done I'm jealous. DH and I are still playing the game of me suggesting names and him merrily vetoing them all

Prema112 · 11/03/2022 10:10

Sorry for my multiple posts today, I have a day off and lots of thoughts!

Ladies, are you taking Omega 3? I have fish once a week but wondering if omega 3 is a good idea as well. I'm taking the standard pregnacare which doesn't contain it

EarlGreywithLemon · 11/03/2022 10:25

@Prema112 I’m taking Pregnacare Max which does have it (as does Pregnacare Plus). I think if you do take it, chose one that is safe in pregnancy-it has to meet certain standards for that I think.

destiEos · 11/03/2022 10:43

Oh brilliant, thanks for that @Flowerbug1994 I didn't think I was going to manage it anyway 😂

PeeAche · 11/03/2022 10:56

Missing:

My belly button. If seen, please return to PeeAche.

destiEos · 11/03/2022 10:56

@Prema112 yeah mine has hiccups pretty regularly, and quiet times when I'm like: how long since I last felt him move, then other times when he won't settle down and I'm laughing at how boppy he is.

If I'm honest the only time I'm really happy about being pregnant is when he's moving around like a nutter, makes me laugh out loud, literally 😬 I've mostly not enjoyed being pregnant, which is a shame because I would have liked another and I don't feel I can put myself through it again 😢

I was taking Omegazon Plus(which has omega 3) for months but they were repeating on me and I stopped. I had stopped the Mama Mio pregnancy gummies too, but now I think I'll start them up again, as my nausea seems to be sorted and I have some left..

destiEos · 11/03/2022 10:57

My belly button. If seen, please return to PeeAche.

I'm hoping my inny stays an inny 🤞🏻
unknownscot · 11/03/2022 11:35

Haha me too! My inny is starting to become less inny. I don't want an outie 😂 scared it pops or something ridiculous!

PeeAche · 11/03/2022 12:02

There was no "pop" and when I'm upright, it's still slightly inny, thanks to my errr... winter layer. 😁

But when I lie flat on my back, and all of my winter layer migrates sideways, it's bye bye belly button. 😅

Vimto1991 · 11/03/2022 12:04

Guys. If you think you may have trapped wind… rennies deflatine and prunes. 🤣 suitable for pregnancy, only thing on the bloody shelf in Tesco suitable, and it works on heartburn and indigestion, too!
Could have also been caused by baby sat weird as you said @destiEos but thankfully feeling better after three rough days! Think I was detaching myself from the pregnancy terrified something bad was happy so went to quite a low place in my mind. :( hoping to steer that round now!

Vimto1991 · 11/03/2022 12:10

@Prema112 odd she sent you to triage! I am 27+2 and this is all baby does these days is flitter and almost bubble my stomach. The movements are so quick it doesn’t even feel human. I sent a video of my belly to my best friend and she said she had the same in both pregnancies, and a YouTube video showed pretty much what I have, so I think it’s normal for baby to be moving so fast! I’ve gone from kicks to a full on jive. 😅
