How exciting! Boys can be so affectionate and lovely, just watch out for the nappy changing willy waggling 🙈

My bump has well and truly popped this week, had a fairly flat stomach in the mornings a few days ago! Anyone got any recommendations for those waist things to keep trousers going a bit longer?

madeleine85 · 12/03/2022 15:49

@Isonthecase honestly If it’s jeans you can use a hair tie around the metal and through the buckle. Very cheap but effective solution for a few weeks. Just need a baggy tshirt of jumper to cover it.

squatternutbosh12 · 12/03/2022 18:02

@madeleine85 big fan of this method here 😁 🙋‍♀️

Isonthecase · 12/03/2022 19:10

@madeleine85 Yep, using that one so far! Unfortunately I'm tall so it's hard enough finding long tops at the best of times Confused

Unknown6 · 12/03/2022 19:37

The hair tie won't last for long, eventually the zip bit digs in...I have given up and it's stretchy waist bands all the way now.

P.s does anyone have the fb group details?

koalalala · 12/03/2022 20:25

16 weeks now with #2 & have been asked constantly about movement by colleagues / friends /family.

Not feeling anything at the moment. Starting to wonder if it's abnormal! Anyone else?

I think with my first I felt bits here & there from 18/19 weeks, presumed it would be sooner this time...

Unknown6 · 12/03/2022 21:28

@koalalala, I posted about this yesterday. Midwife says some people don't feel until 25 weeks. I posted yesterday but definitely have some weird sensations today that I think might be baby. I'm 19 + 2.

madeleine85 · 12/03/2022 21:54

@koalalala I was at the dr a week ago for a checkup, 14 weeks and she said it would be at least another 6/8 weeks. You might just have the anterior placenta. I can only feel mine at random and if lying down to go to sleep. It’s on/off successful though. I know how desperate we all are though to know it’s all ok/feel those first real kicks!

SantiagoSister · 12/03/2022 21:58

Same here for me too, I can only feel very slight movements sometimes in random places, some days I feel nothing at all and I’m 19+2 with my second pregnancy. Definitely thinking I’ll have an anterior placenta this time, had posterior last time and felt movements often from around 17 weeks or so, it’s definitely different this time!

Lovely news and such a beautiful picture x

Glago2017 · 13/03/2022 12:35

Lovely news @BunnieMilk

Has anyone else not heard their baby's heartbeat yet? I have a midwife app tomorrow and was really looking forward to hearing it but just had a phone call to say it won't be face to face but over the phone. What can they do over the phone?? X

Shelly1812 · 13/03/2022 12:44

My 16 week appointment was last Thursday and the MW wouldn't listen in, said new guidance she's not allowed to (apparently if they can't heart the heartbeat there's nothing they can do). I have a Doppler at home though so have heard it with that x
ToCaden · 13/03/2022 13:03

Same here. No hearing the heartbeat at 16 week appointment. Some NHS trusts do it, but others don't.

Glago2017 · 13/03/2022 13:31

Thanks for the replies ladies. Its just annoying when you are looking forward to something then it changes 🤦‍♀️ x

Shelly1812 · 13/03/2022 14:06

On a nosey front where is everyone from? Are any of us near each other lol! I'm from Airdrie (north Lanarkshire) x

ToCaden · 13/03/2022 14:12

@shelly1812 newport, Wales here.

Glago2017 · 13/03/2022 14:33

@Shelly1812 I'm from Kirkintilloch (East dunbartonshire) near Glasgow. So not far from you. How far along are you? X

Shelly1812 · 13/03/2022 14:53

@ToCaden I love the Welsh accent!

@Glago2017 not too far! I'm 16 + 3, due on 25th Aug x

PopGoesBang · 13/03/2022 16:02

I'm down in Devon, everyone is usually miles away from me!

Cakecakecheese · 13/03/2022 18:25

I'm from Essex

Beth262 · 13/03/2022 19:56

Hi everyone

I hope you're all doing well. Sorry I've been absent for a little while, we've finally been moving house after 5 months with the in-laws! It's been a week or two of chaos, boxes and no Internet (mobile signal not even strong enough to use data 🤦‍♀️) but finally know which way is up and catching up on all the posts!

Lovely picture @BunnieMilk 🙂

Like @ToCaden I'm in Wales, but down West in Carmarthen. Devon isn't that many miles from me @PopGoesBang - just there's quite a bit of sea in the way 😆
