Great to see so many having good news at their 12 week scans. Logging back on to see this as mine in not until Tuesday and it feels like forever!

I suddenly don't feel pregnant anymore! I know logically it's likely just placenta has taken over but it's knocked me a little.

On the plus side after 12 weeks of living like a slob I'm managing to keep the house semi decent which is making me feel good!

ToCaden · 18/02/2022 17:21

Nice to see the due date list fill up. Feels like we're in a club seeing our names down there.

Will be 15 weeks tomorrow and still taking naps. Though that may be partly due to this bad headache I've had today and yesterday.

Also got my 20 week scan date which is good. 21st March. Looking forward to seeing the baby again.

Secondtimemum1829 · 19/02/2022 08:37

Hi all, hope brave had my first scan this week, due date is 25th Aug. NT came back at 1.4, so happy with that but still waiting in the combined test results. I am 40years so can’t help but worry even though the NT was low. Don’t want to tell anyone yet and announce it until we know the results. Starting to get a bump now so it’s getting harder to hide. How long till people got their results back? Good or bad? X

Gem2811 · 19/02/2022 08:40

Starting pregnancy yoga this morning excited but a bit nervous too! Anyone else doing this or done it before?

Mufflette · 19/02/2022 10:36

@Secondtimemum1829 I had mine a week and a half ago and still no results! Also had a good NT measurement and I'm 38 so higher risk. I think in general if you've not heard anything within 3-4 days it's likely to be good news.

@Gem2811 let us know how it goes! I'm waiting to find out if I'm starting mine in March or April, looking forward to it but not sure what to expect compared to my usual yoga practice!

Gem2811 · 19/02/2022 12:03

@Mufflette I really enjoyed it was very relaxing and great learning different breathing techniques

theotherfossilsister · 19/02/2022 15:21

feel a bit arrogant doing this, but here goes

baby has a slightly high nuchal fold, so anxiously waiting for the results of the blood tests. I love it and want it so much, and will continue the pregnancy if Downs, but scared of it being a worse syndrome it could die of very young, which we would need to think more carefully about. I don't think I can bring a baby into the world for it to die before five. Hopefully I am worrying needlessly as was only slightly high.

theotherfossilsister · 19/02/2022 15:27

@Secondtimemum1829 we're both having similar anxious wait, I'm 36 and nuchal fold was 2.7. I'm also quite overweight, which I think makes it worse?

Glago2017 · 19/02/2022 15:38

@theotherfossilsister such a worrying time, thinking of you and hope you don't need to wait to long for the results. 🤞🥰 x

Glago2017 · 19/02/2022 15:41

I'm 14 weeks tomorrow and today feels like the first day I've had some decent energy. I've made the mistake of emptying my DD's toy cupboard 🙈 and my living room is now full of toys. One of those jobs u wish u hadn't started. 🤣
My DH tested positive for covid on Thursday but so far me and my DD r negative so just a waiting game to see if/ when we get it.
Hope everyone is feeling ok and having a lovely weekend. X

theotherfossilsister · 19/02/2022 16:32

@Glago2017
thank you xx

I think they will call in three days if it's bad, and it's been two already, so hopefully we won't get a call on Monday. We will definitely fight for the baby if it has problems, and do all we can for it.

ToCaden · 19/02/2022 17:19

@theotherfossilsister hope you manage to distract yourself over the weekend and hear back fast.

theotherfossilsister · 19/02/2022 19:02

Thank you @tocaden xx

madeleine85 · 19/02/2022 20:27

@Gem2811 I did pregnancy yoga the last pregnancy and it really helped with back pain etc. It also helped with breathing exercises which 100% helped me feel more prepared for labour, even if I didn’t have time to use it 🤦‍♀️.

Sorry to anyone going through stress with genetic testing/measurements, hoping everything is ok for you all x

SantiagoSister · 19/02/2022 22:43

@theotherfossilsister sorry to hear you have this worrying hanging over you, it’s an anxious time. Please try not to worry too much over the weekend, I’m sure you’re aware the upper limit of normal for NT is 3.5 so you are well within the normal range. My baby’s NT was 2.3 and I’ve come back low risk for all three trisomies. Hope it’s the same for you 🤞🏼

CoalCraft · 20/02/2022 08:26

14 weeks today! Felt like a quick week... Probably because of the dating scan putting me s bit ahead so that it was only 5 days Grin

theotherfossilsister · 20/02/2022 10:53

@SantiagoSister that's so reassuring to know, thank you xx

Beth262 · 20/02/2022 11:12

Morning all

Hope those anxiously waiting for results get the news they are hoping for soon and have managed to keep busy over the weekend.

@Coalcraft so glad to hear your scan went well. You seem to have flown from 12 weeks to 14! x

Just got a call from the hospital. The baby has a one in forty chance of Downs. Going for a NIPT this afternoon.

CoalCraft · 21/02/2022 10:35

@Beth262 I wish I could say it went quickly for me too 😂 But I do feel so much more relaxed now that scan has gone well xx

@theotherfossilsister That must be worrying for you, hope the NIPT gives you more information xx

SantiagoSister · 21/02/2022 10:39

@theotherfossilsister I’m thinking of you today, hope you can get some answers quickly from the NIPT. It always helps me to think of things in percentages, 1 in 40 means there’s a 97.5% chance everything will be ok. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Beth262 · 21/02/2022 10:54

@SantiagoSister That's a really positive way to think of it in percentages. Hope it helps you @theotherfossilsister and that you get quick results from the NIPT that put your mind at ease x

Thank you both. I actually called my mum in tears this morning which is crazy. We would definitely still have the baby but there is a pain and grief there.
