Oh, so I am feeling sick, bloaty, hungry and full at the same time... I fancy pizza, noodles or mcDonald's for dinner and obviously they are no no since they are junk food... 🤮 7 weeks tomorrow!

KatBee121 · 01/02/2022 17:53

So glad it's not just me that's failing to exercise! Up until 6.5 wk I was still managing my daily 5 mile walks but that has quickly gone out the window once the nausea got so bad I couldn't move from the sofa without throwing up.
I'm 8+1 and the last couple of days haven't been quite so terrible but still can't face going anywhere. Nearly puked in the supermarket yesterday just from seeing the eggs 😂
Is anyone else getting food aversions to food in general?? 😅 been having to force down food just to try ease the nausea and keep myself fed, but nothing seems to appeal to me. I seem to range from 'I can tolerate it' to 'vomit inducing at the mere thought of it' 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

girafferafferaffe · 01/02/2022 17:53

I pray that the second trimester I get my energy back. I think food aversions have started. Made Toad in the hole for dinner and couldn't face the sausages. Starting to feel queasy thinking about food. Last time poor dh had to go to kfc and say my pregnant wife wants kfc but can't stomach chicken. He came home with a rice box 🤦🏻‍♀️

Belle2210 · 01/02/2022 17:56

@Mags146 I just had supernoodles 😂. Can just stomach what I fancy right now.

@SkaterChick What an absolute Bellend of a manager. That's awful. Hugs 💕.

Is anyone else finding that they're having a day of bad Morning sickness then the following day aren't so bad then back to a bad day again? It's like a cycle 🤔. Makes me wonder if the worse days are when the hormones go up the most (going by double every 48 hours) then the better days are after my bodies adjusted to the increase.

EverydayIsPJday · 01/02/2022 18:17

@girafferafferaffe that's made me chuckle 🤣

None of this makes sense does it. I'm hungry and I've just ate dinner but don't want food.....

I'm off work on Thursday and I've spent the last week working out what nandos i want for lunch. I'm eating alone, and in a different town so all bets are off 🤣

RedIvy18 · 01/02/2022 18:23

@SkaterChick sorry to hear about your arsewipe of a manager. Hopefully that'll be the end of the negativity from him but I would start making a record of his comments just in case.... as a former HR person I can say that he is on very thin ice making comments like that!!!

Had some brown spotting over the weekend which was v scary but went for a private reassurance scan on Sunday at 9w1d and all was well, jelly baby was 26mm dating 9w3d, lovely heartbeat. Felt great after my 8w scan but the spotting has triggered my anxiety quite badly. Have had a previous MC which doesn't help ☹. Wondering if im going to enjoy bring pregnant, feels like a bit of a stress-fest atm.

Have my booking appointment tomorrow which is another milestone down I suppose. I know they tell you not to wish your life away but just want baby born and here with me 🤣 xx

madeleine85 · 01/02/2022 18:53

@KatBee121 the aversions are just weird. Last pregnancy I couldn't look at vegetables, but this time it is chicken. I can't be in the room when it's cooking/can barely look at it. Going to a supermarket is like running a gauntlet. At least it's cheap as I come out with basically nothing! Occasionally i'll get up the courage to make an egg sandwich and then my toddler demands her share, my dog begs some, and my husband asks for a bite. It takes all my patience not to tell them to all sod off :)

@SkaterChick @RedIvy18 is 100% right. I once had a very shitty boss who made weird comments in general and my HR friend told me to write it all down and date it (she was appalled to hear what was being said as she worked in a HR role), I didn't do it because it felt excessive, and when the boss really went crazy I had nothing to help my case and just had to find a new job and get out ASAP. In case he does something truly crazy, keep a record of it all to protect yourself. Best case you laugh at it on your way out the door one day and never need it.

TotoAnnihiliation · 01/02/2022 19:18

@SkaterChick your boss is a grade A twat. I would 100% be making a complaint to HR/ seeking some advice from ACAS. Make a record of it.

I can barely eat, except for McDonald chicken nuggets - I've been through the drive through the past two evenings. Everything repulses me. I can't even bear ginger.

mummysept22 · 01/02/2022 19:39

Hey I am 6+4 - I've not had any sickness and my cramps have died down. Boobs still sore but I am a little worried 😬 should I be? I booked a scan on Friday xx

Isonthecase · 01/02/2022 19:43

@EverydayIsPJday how old are your older ones? I have 2 boys already too, finding them quite hard work but they always are 😅

I've also put on quite a lot of weight, probably 1/2st up so far and I started heavier than last pregnancy too.

EverydayIsPJday · 01/02/2022 19:45

Can I ask what vitamins you are all taking? I'm on pregnacare and take it at dinner (4-5pm I eat with the kids) but am REALLY struggling with the bedtime routine a couple of hours later. Do you think it's worth switching? Don't know of it's coincidence.

EverydayIsPJday · 01/02/2022 19:50

@Isonthecase aw that's lovely. Mine are 4 and just about 2yo. It's mental 😅. Eldest goes to nursery school for half days and the youngest is in with a childminder 4x a week when I work. The rest of the time they're with me. My days off are pretty intense 😂

How about yours?

I'm definitely heavier this time too. But I'm not going to beat myself up as I can't change it now 🤷 I have put on nothing so far but I'm only 5+5 ! Last time I piled it on 🙈

EverydayIsPJday · 01/02/2022 19:52

Oops that's three times a week I work. But wfh so it's time to sit down atleast 😬

Isonthecase · 01/02/2022 20:01

@EverydayIsPJday
My oldest is nearly 5 and in reception and the youngest is nearly 2 as well. Work definitely feels like a break!!

I'm alternating between Pregnacare and just Folic Acid each day, although I have just taken Folic the past few evenings. I take them just before bed. Think its made a bit of a difference not always taking the Pregnacare although my nausea has been getting worse overall. I'm just coming up 8 weeks though so I'd imagine it's because of that.
Whatelsecouldibecalled · 01/02/2022 20:27

@mummysept22 I'm similar. 6+3. Scan booked for next Wednesday

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 01/02/2022 20:32

@EverydayIsPJday I take wilko pregnancy ones

mummysept22 · 01/02/2022 20:35

@Whatelsecouldibecalled ahhh great! Congrats. How are your symptoms? X

annlee3817 · 01/02/2022 20:59

@EverydayIsPJday just folic acid with vitamin D. Pregnacare made me feel worse last time, so I'm avoiding. I found sanatogen mum to be much gentler, but just sticking with the basic one this time

Omg I just love a meal alone. Absolute bliss! Very jealous.

Mags146 · 01/02/2022 21:40

I take pregnacare (the basic one), omega 3 and probiotics for women.

surprised12 · 01/02/2022 21:52

@EverydayIsPJday I'm taking pregnacare too but taking mine just before I get into bed.
Don't think I'm feeling any effects from them so it must be a good time for me :)

EverydayIsPJday · 01/02/2022 21:57

Thanks everyone. I think I might try a different brand. I have nothing to lose really! Just feeling guilty for the kids as on my work days I only see them a few hours for tea, bath and story time so if that's the bit I feel the worst for I need to do something. Else I'm just waiting for them to go to bed so I can collapse in a heap. From previous pgs I had nausea until ~13weeks so a long time yet.

I've seen alot about vitamin b6 for nausea but not so much UK based. The reviews seem positive but it doesn't seem supported here 🤷

annlee3817 · 01/02/2022 22:14

@Belle2210 I had bad nausea Monday to wednesday then it tailed off, in the last week it's been constant, ever changing 🙄
