@EverydayIsPJday if the effervescent tabs don't work out for you, I would recommend getting some nutritional yeast. You can get it at most grocery stores here in the US, so I would assume it's the same over there.
The name makes it sounds unappealing but I promise it's good. Think of it like a seasoning. It's little dissolvable flakes that taste sorta cheesy. I dump a ton on everything I eat: vegetables, pasta, potatoes, popcorn, anything.
The kind I have here gives 1000% of the daily value of B12 and 190% of the daily value of folate, all in just 3 tablespoons. Highly recommend Smile

@Purplerain1144 just realized I never answered you, I feeling really rough if I'm being honest. How are you feeling? 10+1 can you believe it? Not long to 12 weeks, can't wait to tell people why I feel/look like hell. When is your scan?

madeleine85 · 14/02/2022 15:34

@Isonthecase the dr said I’m aug 30th based on AF date, I think I’m sep 2-4 based on ovulation, but DD was 6 weeks early so i have no idea when this one will come. Ideally the last 2 weeks of august so full term, knowing my luck will be well into September and I’ll be an angry whale lol. I get my dating scan this Thursday at 12 weeks so I’ll know then, but it’s such a crapshoot. Babies don’t obey dates 😂

Has anyone been signed off work for pregnancy related issues? My nausea is non-stop, from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to bed, and I toss and turn during the night. I'm also anemic so been feeling extremely tired. Also doesn't help that my anemia supplements make my nausea worst and my nausea medication makes me drowsy. I was off work for a couple of days after an intense bout of vomiting. I'm back now but really struggling, don't know how I'm going to cope. I'm considering asking my GP to sign me off for a couple of weeks but feel guilty as I know it will put extra pressure on my team. Any advice?

annlee3817 · 14/02/2022 15:40

@Isonthecase 12 week scan in Friday, but last week's scan they gave me a due date of 28th August, and said it's unlikely to change, so yep you're not alone :) they induce at 39 weeks here if you're over 40, which is a shame as I went naturally last time

@monkeyjocks probably best to view it as better to take the time out and return feeling better therefore more focussed rather than trying to push yourself through when feeling so ill

Aw no worries, is it too early for baby brain?! :)
I am feeling okay just sicky in afternoons but alright if I keep eating! I feel soooo fat 😫 and just very tired, 11hrs sleep last night! My scan isn't until 10th March! I've told a few people so far x

CLC22 · 14/02/2022 16:58

Had my scan today, measuring 10+5 which is spot on my dates, beautiful beating heart & a very wriggly baby 😍 so happy x

Thank you all 🥰

madeleine85 · 14/02/2022 18:44

@girafferafferaffe yayyyyyy. Hello Freedom :) That was surprisingly fast (compared to the old covid 14 days)

HeyBlaby · 14/02/2022 18:44

@monkeyjocks I've been signed off for 2 weeks and probably going to need another week due to nausea and vomiting, cyclizine has helped but just a bit.

I usually work 12 hour night shifts as a nurse in the community, it's just me and a HCA overnight. I don't think it's safe for the really poorly patients to be reliant on me overnight when I'm like this, nevermind that I don't feel at all capable.

Honestly, if there's a time to prioritise yourself, it's now.

madeleine85 · 14/02/2022 18:58

@HeyBlaby I don't know how anyone copes with morning sickness/the first trimester with an "on your feet" job. I can barely do my behind a computer working from home one. Glad you got signed off for longer!

TotoAnnihiliation · 14/02/2022 19:02

I had a good day of not feeling too bad today. Now, I'm paying for it - so nauseous and jittery.

Omg I know so glad I didn't have to stay in for 2 weeks. I would have gone a bit bonkers!!

@annlee3817 I'm right there will you. I have just about eaten an entire jar of peanut butter in the past 2 days

annlee3817 · 14/02/2022 20:18

@IzzyLeigh 🤣🤣 although now after all that sugar I fancy something savoury and you've peaked my interest with peanut butter

@Madeleine85 Agreed! Working from home is horrible when you feel sick. Anyone up on their feet dealing with real people.... I salute you 🙈.

I'm 9.5 LMP /10.5 Scan weeks approx and I'm getting really bad hip pain if I've sat for a while then get going again. I've pretty strange ligaments in there anyways (can rotate my hips at odd angles other people can't) so not sure if it's just that with the relaxin or has anyone else having similar?
