Had private 12 week scan today, 12w+3 so officially August baby (but I'm still going to stay in this chat too if no-one minds)

The baby was so active in the scan, it was twisting, twirling, stretching, did a few 360 spins! It was the funniest, most overwhelming happiest thing ever!!

Oh dear @girafferafferaffe we al tested positive within 3 days of each other !!! I do have friends though where not everyone in the house got it !

It seems impossible that dd won't get it because she is just on me all the time haha. So I imagine she may be positive when I test her in her sleep later.

@TotoAnnihiliation I’m with you on the diet. Mine is awful right now. I just went to softplay with my toddler and had a bowl of chips. I usually enjoy healthy food. Not right now. I really hope it changes soon as would like to put on minimal weight this time.

Also, softplay is the pits with MS and a toddler. Suppose it’s a bit like a hangover really 🤣🤣

@girafferafferaffe when we got it just after Christmas. We all tested positive. It was hard going being unwell, early pregnancy and both feeling shitty looking after a toddler. However, at least isolation was all over together. I hope you are all ok very soon and it’s all short lived xx

@Whoknew22 I describe the first trimester as feeling permanently hung over. I'm went to Toby Carvery today, I could only eat half my food as I was just full up. Gutted! Then the smell made me feel nauseous.

It's just being extended by the staggered positives. Total nightmare :( and a huge waste of a half term. I was going to do such fun things with dd and now it's likely to be nothing at all

That's what we though too, but then I looked a different photo (attached) and Googled the nub theory - that's make me think girl!!

Yes they are both photos from today.
Poor scanner had a tough job as it was literally flipping around the whole time!!

Amazing to see the difference (I've already had 2 scans) - feel like I can finally relax now and accept I'm pregnant! Ha!

I'm guessing girl, but I'm rubbish with these lol

@mummysept22 I’ve eaten so much in the way of carbs and sugar. I was sure I’d fail the diabetes test but didn’t. Bodies are resilient. Eat what you need right now and listen to your body. There’s time next trimester to force some veggies in 👍

@surprised12 congratulations, what a clear, lovely scan!! I love at the 12 week mark when they really become babies. I also love that it was active, such a great sign!

I isolated from the day my husband and 2 girls got it as didn’t feel right going out and about when my household was all positive… I then tested positive 5 days after so all together I isolated for 15 days 😩 i also found out I was pregnant the same time. Xxx

I'm still testing positive but it's getting lighter so I'm praying that tomorrow it'll turn negative and then the day after I may actually get some freedom... but then dd is most likely to get it so that's us in for the week. May have to order some craft kits cause I can't just have her sitting in front of the tv the whole time.

Fingers crossed your daughter might get away with it. Just after Christmas my husband tested positive and then 7 days later I tested positive too. Throughout this my 6 year old was clung to me, watching movies cuddled up together and she didn't get it! I was amazed cos I was certain she'd get it.

Praying that's the case! All I want to do this week is take her to the cinema. I'll live with no other plans. Just to take her to see the film she wants!

Fingers crossed you get a negative before the week is out @girafferafferaffe and your DD doesn't get it
